    Ace of Pentacles

I absolutely adore this. I have been looking for something that smells like this forever. I can close my eyes and smell my forest. It is soil and slightly rotting leaves and wind. When I lived in Michigan I used to lay in the fallen leaves in the woods where I lived in a tent. I loved the spicy, crackley smell of the leaves and the soil. It was during this time of my life that I found my earth based faith. Those few years shaped who I am and Ace of Pentacles is exactly the smell of those memories. Thank you so much, Beth.

    Mabon 2004

Mabon In the bottle Apples, ivy and blackberries This is all blackberries on me. Very sweet, yet somehow tart. Way to pretty for me. It lasted a very long time...I think I am realizing that anything with fruit is not for me.

    Harvest Moon 2004

The autumnal blooms of clematis, chrysanthemum, narcissus, sunflower, sage and lily twined with Dionysus’ sacred grapes and ivy, a bounty of apple, pumpkin, and ripe berries, and the amaranth and lingum aloes of Janus, all touched by a gentle breath of festival woodsmoke and sweet wine. Harvest Moon In the bottle Ohhh!! This is gonna be great!! Warm and spicy. I think I smell wine. Wet Mmmmmm. Okay, I can smell the ivy and I am getting that candy corn/buttered popcorn thing everyone was talking about. Dry Snuggles fabric softener. * When it was almost completely worn off, It smelled delicious, but unfortunatly, it took all night to get there.

    Wolfsbane

Wolfsbane In the bottle: Spicy roses, something green... Wet on skin: Sharp roses. Dry: Roses and baby powder. Unfortunately, this is all I get from this one. I love the spicy rose smell I get at first, but I just can't do roses. I so wanted this to be like review Penance gave it...especially wet...Oh, well.

    Masabakes

Masabakes In the Bottle: Spicy, tangy and something bitter....I know this smell from somewhere. Wet on Skin: Yummy...warm , but there is that bitter smell. What is it about this I recognize? Dry: Still lovely and soooo familiar. Ah ha!!! This smells exactly like Coco by Chanel on me. I dug out my bottle and tried some on the opposing wrist. While the Coco starts out sweeter, they smell exactly the same once dry. Coco is really the only store bought perfume I have ever worn (jr. high excluded), no wonder Masabakes had that cozy feeling. Bottom Line: I can't help but love this. eta: I can finally smell the currant and I love it. I am not generally a fruity kinda gal, but I found myself sighing everytime I caught a whiff. Great lasting power too. I put a swipe on my wrist and a swipe on my collar and it lasted until about 6 pm...right when I got a package filled with glorious impage..but that is another story.

    Pele

I was planning on giving this to my little sister to try, she is always searching for the perfect beach scent. I just don't know if I can give this up! Smooth, creamy, soft. I detect a whiff of that white sunscreen smell (yum) and I am certain that I will be buying a 5 ml for me and a 10 for my sis. Beth, you are a genius!

    Bloodlust

I must have some funky body chemistry because when I put this on, everything disappears but the red musk. I searched for the patchouli and cinnamon and vertivert and only caught a whisper as my skin sucked it away. As a room scent, it is fabulous!! Very sexy and warm. ETA: I obviously was having an off day, because this is at the top of my list now. I only have a drop left in my imp and I am starting to panic. Absolutely warm and spicy and yummy.

    Brimstone

This is my first review and I am very impressed with this oil. In the bottle I smell something grey and spicy and gritty. On my body, however, it stays that way for only a few minutes. It then turns into a lemony smell. Still lovely, but not the wood smoke and grit I had been hoping for. I am able to hang on to the gritty, spiciness if I put it directly on my clothing, so that is what I will be doing. My husband said I smelled pretty, and that is impressive, because he rarely says that. I have to say that I am astounded at the capabilities of The Lab. This is nowhere near what I am looking for, but I am now a BPAL slave forever.
