In the Bottle Honeysuckle, gardenia, poppy, musk, and jasmine..... Wet Reminds me of Chanel no 5. The jasmine in this smells just like the one in Chanel. It is really strong on me right now..... It smells kinda generic. Drydown What the hell? It now smells like Youth Dew. Damnit, now I smell like my mom. lol. Two Hours Later It's gotten a lot better. The smell warmed up and got spicer, but faded so it wasn't so overpowering. It's a very confident, sophisiticated air around me. All I can really smell is jasmine and musk..... Verdict Ehh..... it's alright. I dunno..... probably trade it. It's not really me....

In The Bottle Grapefruit, pale white flowers, ozone, water. Wet Feels like stepping into a clear tide pool. Oh yay. How smart of me to try this one before bed. It smells exactly like it did in the bottle. Drydown The grapefruit has faded away, and it is now taking more of a pale floral tone. I think I am making out gardenia, fresh grass, lily of the valley.... I'm not sure what the rest of the florals are. I am really moved by this one. It is very dreamy and calm. Mmmmmmm. So lovely. Two Hours Later The floral has drifted away and I'm only left with traces of it admist a light note of watery ozone. I had such a peaceful sleep while wearing this. I can't get over how soft and lovely this was. Verdict I love this one. It's a mood scent though, so I wouldn't wear it all the time.

In the Bottle Blackberry and green tea. Husky, dark greens. (I have on green tea lotion, so I know this will be effecting my review.) Wet Berries and sage.. musky dark, voluptuous... There is an underlying sweetness that comes through with the berries that is almost slightly citrusy.. a very interesting blend. Drydown Berries and musk..... mmmmm...... a very drak raspberry and blackberry on my skin. a whisper of green tea in the background, swirling musk. Two Hours Later This scent stays close to my skin. I'm not big on berry scents, but this is a subtly sweet, musky dark, wonderful raspberry/blackberry. It's sexy in a very natural disarming way. There is almost an innosence underneathe all the musk. I am on my bed reading with my head in the crook of my arms, getting lovely wiffs of myself. lol. A good winter scent. Verdict I like this one. Sweet, musky, sexy...... yet very subtle. It's a keeper.

In the Bottle Spice. Dark, warm spice. I an unable to pick out a single note. Wet SUGAR. Vanilla and sugar. Holy crap this is sweet. I'ts almost too much. Smells like BBW Warm Vanilla Sugar. Drydown It's now a nice spicey blending with the vanilla. I am unable to isolate any paticular note besides the vanilla, however. At this stage I was told that "It's a really nice Christmas scent, Nina, it smells like I should be cuddling with you. This is a cuddle with me perfume." Two Hours Later I can't smell much of it anymore, but I am getting interesting reactions. Two of my guy friends who aren't really touchy feely with me, Pete in paticular, were definetly last night. It seems to only attract certain types of guys however. Guys whose girlfriends are away at school, and they want to simply feel another girl, ya know? Nice guys who want a nice little girl. These types of guys aren't the ones I go after, but hey. And the funny thing is last night, at like 4, there were a whole bunch of people on the couch drunk watching movies, and we were all cuddly with one another, and the guy sitting with my friend Asa, was being extra snuggly with her, and kept commenting on how good she smelled. He then goes, "I really like vanilla on girls, you smell good." My friend starts cracking up. She's like "you are just getting wiffs of Nina." Ashame it doesn't work so well on bad boys Verdict it's nice for the holidays. I'm not much of a Vanilla person, so I'll probably trade it or something. On a side note, it stained my skin yellow.

In the Bottle Musky rose. It's a haughty, fleshy floral. YUM. Wet It's gotten spicier now. The narccicus is making it's presence known. Wow. It's really musky, but in a really really good way. Drydown The rose and the narccicus have come to terms with one another, and are now balancing. It has a very confident, haughty tone. It's good if you feel like the world is against you, because this scent makes you think "I am freakin' fabulous, and better then everyone. They just aren't worth my time." Maybe a good one to get over rejection with? Two Hours Later Much the same, but slightly softer, and slightly more of a focus on the rose. It's a lovely fragrance, but the emotional implications are overpowering. So unless you want to embody Pride, it may not be for you. Verdict I like it, and it's a keeper, but I won't wear it often. only when I am in the mood..... or NEED to be in the mood. lol.

In The Bottle I can't pick out a single note. What the hell? Wet It's very heady. I am scrambling to pick out notes. Musk? Wisteria? Red poppy? Mimosa? Honeysuckle? Dusty violet? I am clueless. It smells like Lafco soaps. Kinda like the poppy one, but not really. It is rather soapy. Drydown Soapy, faint. How is this sexually commanding? Ehhhh. 2 Hours later Can't really smell anything. I am so disappointed in this one. Verdict I'll either trade or give this one away. Maybe someone else will have better luck with it.

In The Bottle Wow. I can't believe how immediately I am reaxed and calm. The scent is soft, soapy and green. Wet A bit lemony. Ever so slight. Still very green, and calming. Today was deffinetly the day to to try this one on. I have been so stressed. Drydown It's powder soft. There is a slight touch of lavender, a bare floral, and a light aquatic note. This is so calming and centering. It's a nice one to wear during finals. Two Hours Later Ohhh. I smell liek a baby's butt. In a good way. Still pretty much the same. Verdict A keeper. Good for those days when you are on-the-verge-of-a-nervous-breakdown-days. lol.

I really want a signature scent. I'll wait though. I know Beth is crazy busy. I just really hope she decides to do this again. I'd pay double for christ sakes.

In The Bottle Honeyed almonds and saffron. Wet Smells delicious. The almonds, honey, saffron, and spices are exquisite. I don't know what it is about saffron, but one drop on my skin, and it's like magic.... The scent is growing more complex, and more delicious. Drydown It is warm and dreamy. The saffron has gotten musky, and ties down the sweetness with a smokey heat. It's sexy, in a pulsating animalistic way. I want to eat my damn arm. Two Hours Later It's fading rather quickly now, but is still wonderful. I got a bath with Kneipp almond bath oil, and applied it when I got out, and god damn I smell good. Ha! Verdict I love this one. If only it didn't fade out. I don't mind reapplying something that smells so good though.....

In the Bottle I am getting sweet pea right off the bat. It is an earthy sweetness. Wet Sugary, sparkly, sweet. Sweet pea and honeysuckle with heliotrope and musk mingling inbetween. Girly and giggly, light and fun. It's clean without being soapy. Perfect scent for a young girl. Drydown The musk has become slightly more prominent, and I can smell the lillies now. This is a nice scent to put a smile on your face. It has put me into such a relaxed and feminine state of mind. I am really enjoying this one. Two Hours Later Has faded into a fainter scent. The pear has now made it's appearence. It reminds me of Love's Baby Soft. I am having flashbacks of my barbie collection I love the innocent nature of this one. A good scent to wear on Monday after a paticuarly naughty weekend. Verdict This has made it's way to the top of my list. I really like Juliet.

In the Bottle Smells like chemicals. Very harsh on my sniffer. Wet Metal, mint, and motor oil. This stuff has turned toxic on my skin. My body chemistry is not going along with this one. I'm starting to get a headache. For some reason minty smells just do not work for me. Drydown Smells like somebody dropped a bottle of tictacs in motor oil. Yuck. Starting to get a stuffy, dusty violet coming through all the friggin' mint. Still yuck. Verdict I couldn't wear this much more than an hour. ::shrudders:: I usually do my whole bottle, wet, drydown, two hours blah blah blah review, but I had to wash this one off. Ewwww. I'll be getting rid of it for sure.

In The Bottle Berries, cold greens, mint, the night woods. Wet The fragrence is unfolding on my skin. There is a cold bite to it. Smells like a midnight winter wind. Riding over all of this, at the end of my breathe, is a full bosommed berry, dripping with warmth. It is slightly clean and soapy. It would make a lovely bath oil. Drydown It has softened, and has become a wistful, airy scent. The characteristics I picked out before have blended and blurred. The bite has softened to the slightest prick. It seems the whole scent has become blanketed by tea. A floral tea. As if before it was an icicle that has warmed and melted in a cup of tea. this floral tea has become a note that blankets the entire scent, pulling the individual notes together and rounding it out into something warmer and more beautiful. It has become such a lovely feminine scent. Two Hours Later Somehow it has blossomed into an alluring floral. it is gorgeous. it reminds me slightly of Curious by B.S. But this is a richer, more complex, more ethereal version. I adore this one. Verdict This is utterly feminine and subtle. Delicate and alluring. I am soooooo going to order a bigger bottle.

In the Bottle Over-ripe fruit... that needs to be thrown out. That's what I am getting Wet Apricot and patchouli, loud and clear. It is very strong right now. It's a syruppy, sticky, juicy fruit; the kind that is way too soft, and is about to start showing black blemishes all over. Drydown It's hardly fruity anymore. It smells musky and firey. It smells the way I would imagine brimstone to smell. WTF? I smell like FIRE????? lol. Two Hours Later I no longer smell like fire. It's very faint now, but much closer to the original smell. Three people have commented on how I smell kinda like crayons. They are right, I do. Verdict I'm not a paticular fan. I don't like patchouli, nor do I particuarly care for fruity scents, so I wasn't expecting much to begin with.

In the Bottle I can smell sandalwood, osmanthus, orchid, and musk. It smells beautiful! Wet Omigawd, I smell freakin' fabulous. Osmanthus, orchid, and musk are dancing on my skin. The sandalwood is the belly of the fragrance, pulling the scent down a bit, which balances the peak of the orchid. Very faintly I can smell the jasmine and rose, but more as a lingering afterthought. Dry Down The scent hasn't changed much. It is not quite as strong, and has warmed up a bit. I smell like a goddess. It has a regal, yet warm feel to it. it's the perfect scent to play hostess in. I swear that I can almost smell honey in this. There is something golden about the blend. I think gold; warm, radiant, gold while wearing this. Two hours Later It has faded more, but I still smell amazing. Verdict This is my favorite scent by far. Wow. It is beautiful.

In the Bottle Rose geranium shrouded by an unrecognizeable dark note; mandarin in the distance. Wet Rose swirling in darkness. I'm starting to pick up the currant. Dry Down Dragon's Blood and over-ripe fruit, dark amber at the bottom of the fragrence, rose geranium rising above the mass to round it out. It's a very dark scent with a cold rose geranium at the end giving it a bite. I feel pulled inside myself. I am sniffing my wrist, and it seems as if there are many more notes underlying this, and I just can't pick them out. It's a cold, sharp scent. Not in the way mint fragrences are, but from the lack of warmth that mandarin and amber usually offer; it's completely lacking warmth. I've never really smelled anything like this before. Two Hours Later It's all but faded away. I really can't smell it at all. I can very vaugely make out amber but I really have to reach for the scent Verdict Not impressed at all. Not that I didn't like it, but usually I get a big reaction to the fragrances, and this one I was completely apathetic to. My skin absorbed it rather quickly...... I'll trade or give this one away.

In the Bottle Red musk, dark spices, and mulled wine Wet It immediately gets smokey and almost masculine on me.Spice, smoke and musk are swirling around my skin. It is really smokey, I can actually smell fire. I almost need to check to see if my roomate set the kitchen on fire cooking! lol. Dry Down Burning resin. It's a very mysterious and intriuging smell. The red musk is starting to take hold again. Very sultry. I feel like I should be sitting in a dark tent on cushions, feeding dates and honey wine to a dark stranger. It has almost a tribal feel. Two Hours Later God damn I smell sexy. It's a very sultry, exotic scent. The saffron smells exquisite. I am about to start gnawing my damn arm. lol. Verdict This sultry little number is deffinetly a keeper.

In the Bottle Cherry and musk. Sweaty, sweet, and naughty. Wet Strawberry and heliotrope are sparkling on the surface with cherry and musk simmering underneathe. Ooooh, I feel naughty in a very Lolita-esque way. Hehehe. I wish I didn't have a paper to write. I wish I was dressed in a revealing outfit, out drinking with the girls, flirting and turning heads. Makes me feel playful and girly. Drydown Very fruity. Almost too sweet to be good. I smell like candy. Two Hours Later Vanilla is now evident. Cherry and strawberry loud and clear, musk fading away. Where did the dark sense of defilement go? Awwwww. It's too sugary now. Verdict I smell like a bonnie bell lipgloss. Too sugary and fruity for my tastes. It was fun when I first put it on. Hmmmm. I don't know....... I had high hopes for this one.

Another one the I got from Hypothermya....... thanks darlin! In The Bottle Woah. A bit strong. Cypress, lavender, and mint are screaming at me. I have to sniff and really try and grasp to make out the individual notes. They are so tightly intertwined. I think I smell the geranium but I'm not entirely sure. Wet Cypress. Cypress. Cypress. Very herbal. I smell like a craft store Dry Down Lavender has pushed the cypress aside. It is no longer quite so herbal, but now has taken on the nature of incense more, and has become much softer. It also has a slight musk........ mmmmm I like it. I can ever so faintly make out passion flower and cypress in the far background. No hint of orange, mint or geranium to be found at all...... and I swear I can almost detect civet, or something musky that isn't me.....It's got me listening to Beethoven and Dead Can Dance and I'm just kinda laying on my floor with candles lit writing and occasionally sniffing myself. This is a scent that is to be enjoyed alone. Just for yourself. 3 Hours Later This is interesting. It is still mostly lavender and the passion flower and cypress in the background.... but every once in awhile there is a shift in the notes and a small wave of cypress and mint softly rises over the lavender and kind brings a rolling sense of sadness with it...... it's quite beautiful....... Verdict I like it..... but you absolutely have to be in the mood for it. It is several hours later now, and I smell faintly of lavender incense. Didn’t last as long as I thought it would. My skin seems to absorbed most of it. Very nice, none the less.

I got it a couple of weeks ago from Hypothermya (Thank you so much) It's taken me awhile to sit down and write this, because I really wanted to feel out the fragrance before I sat down and wrote my review. In The Bottle Sweet, sugary, the cucumber comes at you head on. I can't make out anything past this. Wet A sweet cucumber with a floral pushing through. Somewhat watery. Still very sugary. Dry Down The sweetness becomes more subtle. The orchid opens and blossoms on my skin. It is floating in a pool of clear water, the watery slant is really coming through in a very lovely way. The cucumber steps out of the spotlight, and the aloeswood gets stronger. This is a very soft and calming scent. It is also dreamy, I find myself quite spacey and my attention wandering. It is a sweet watery floral on me. It smells vaugely familiar but I just can't put my finger on what it reminds me of. 3 Hours Later It has developed a slight musk. The aloeswood maybe? It comes and goes in waves. More like breezes. It is watery and floral, then a candylike quality that isn't sugary, but you could almost eat it. There are pale tranlucent florals shimmering in this. The aquatic note makes it watery and ethereal. Then a subtle, faint spice comes in and rounds out the fragrence. Very alluring in a very indirect way. Innocent, dreamy, and a little playful. It's a lovely girly fragrence. I feel soft and feminine. Feels like the Cocteau Twins...... in all of their unadulterated loveliness. The best way I can explain the way this oil smells and makes me feel is that it is reminecent of the sparkling crests of ripples on the water surface that shimmer when the moon is full and the city lights are glowing; dancing on the water. The seeming shifting change of tones in the glowing waters is played up by movements of wind and air creating ethereal tonality. Verdict I really like it. You definetly have to be in the mood for it. It's a lovely soft sweet scent, that dries beautifully on my skin. I am so glad I have it. It's my alltime favorite BPAL oil. When I first tried it I wasn't completely sold. now I would give my left arm for another bottle.

If the scource was the oils, it's just contact dirmatitis. Not strange considering the strength of BPAL products. Your skin becomes more suseptible in the winter from dry skin. Lay off anything with fragrance, alchohol, or any other irritants, and slap some hydracortisone cream on there. I get it quite frequently. Basically you over stimulated the nerve endings in your skin, and in reaction they worked overtime on whatever they were attatched to, i.e. oil ducts and hair folicles. I have ultra sensitive skin, and I am a fragrance whore, so I ALWAYS have hydracortisone cream on hand. I have been known sometimes to even get excema once in a awhile from severe reactions....... but I sooooo love things that smell good.....
