  1. Hello all!

I still have a little of each of these scents, which are two of my favorites. Since I don't have much hope of replacing them, I was wondering if anyone has found similar scents to them? (I know I won't find a scent identical.) I love the fresh watery-floraly quality to Chaste Moon and the leather note in De Sade.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I'm really interested in trying some of the new leather scents (especially in the RPG scents) could someone review the leather notes? Are the notes like the leather in Diamondback, or De Sade (which has been my favorite leather scent), or Oslibos etc? Thanks!

  3. This is definitely my favorite of the "new" scents - even back to Lupercalia. I bought a bottle unsniffed based off of the first four notes, and I don't regret it. I can already tell this will age marvelously.

The scent is blended well. It's very creamy, and warm. I can't really smell any cinnamon, but I can decipher (or imagine?) the tonka, cocnut, licorice and ginger. Good stuff!

  4. THIS ONE IS SO AMAZING...in the imp....It smells like velvety berries and is so yummy. On my skin it smells a bit like that + powder + predominantly wood. So so sad. It also has no throw.

  5. I think it's a batch difference. It has happened in other blends too. In this case, I guess the myrrh in this batch is super strong.

I ordered a bottle of Inez late last year and got the same "Whoa. Myrrh!". Based on reviews, especially the earlier ones where there's no mistake of what it's suppose to smell like fresh, I don't think Inez is usually that myrrh heavy.

I've been aging mine and the myrrh is no longer as prominent, but still one of the dominant notes. Hopefully a little bit longer the myrrh note will get even less pronounced.

Thanks so much! I'll try to get an older bottle then...

  6. Yumm. This smells like sweet woods. Honey, rice paper, oakmoss and pepper are all there blending beautifully. I think this will age well. I don't know if I should get a bottle or not. I have so many woody scents that will probably get more wear from me. Debating...

  7. This reminds me of a more perfume-y version of Hanerot Halalu. Basically, Hanerot + The Girl. It's so amazing ahhh. I just wish the throw wasn't short :( I'll have to debate on getting a bottle. I want another imp or two for sure though.

  8. I'm wondering if this is a question concerning age or batch difference. I was frimped an imp of Inez of uncertain age, and it smelled divine. Kind of like cookies and that beautifl golden amber. So, I bought a bottle of it from a forumitie after a while and it smelled like myrhh. On my skin it was practically single note myrhh and it was terrible. Anyone have this same reaction?

    Thanks!

  9. This smells very yummy. I'm guessing there's a hint of cedar in there, but I could be totally wrong. And, as everyone said, orange blossom and vanilla. Very yummy, but it actually reminds me of a commercial fragrance, just less perfume-y. Like maybe one by Lolita Lempicka?

  10. I bought this because I love all three notes, but unfortunately this particular leather note isn't for me-it's like the one in Western Diamondback. It's too sharp. So, it smelled aweful in the bottle but completely morphed on my skin! Very olive oil-y, thank god. I don’t smell much leather, but maybe some polished wood. It smells so familiar, but I can’t replace it. The olive oil is that same, terrific olive oil from Hanerot Halalu, deepend by the darker leather and more complex by the polished wood.. It really takes over the blend which is fine by me. I want to keep it and see how it ages, or if it grows on me. I actually really like it.

  11. This scent is awesome! The mixture works surprisingly well. I can pick on the carnations first, then the white amber-and yes, it is distinctly white, like in Anactoria. Sort of clean linen, I think- and the 'cider' rounds it out. My only complaint is that there is little throw, so I don't think this will be a bottle purchase for me, but I will use up my imp for sure!

  12. In the imp, it's just carrots and air. On my skin the carrot takes a backseat and it smells very blended other than that. Mostly honeyed hazlenuts though it's very subdued and dusty. Other than the nutty smell, I would never have guess that they were hazlenuts or honey in it. I was looking forward to this and while it's nice, it's nothing amazing. Comforting, yes, but I have way too many of those that I love.

  13. This is so beautiful. I do like floral scents in concept, but BPAL florals never really do it for me. THis, however, is deep, calming and breathtaking. I really love the rhododendron. Okay, so it's not very floral. It's a lot more aquatic. It doesn't have as much depth on my skin, or a lot of throw, so I don't think I'll get a bottle in my near future, but it is so pretty!
