  1. In the bottle:lemony

Wet and for the first 1/2 hr. or so: Lemon Pledge and coffee. Then the weirdest thing happened. It morphed to spice cake with lemon frosting.Yum

ETA: The more I wear this, the more I love it. It is my go to scent.

  2. Now that I know what the notes are, I can pick them out (cherry almond when wet, fading to creamy honey) but when I tried it on clueless, I just thought it smelled soft. Almost like Bonny Bell's Skin. Very white scent. On me, almost no throw and lasts about 2 hrs.

  3. Kraken sent this as a freebie (thank you) thinking I might like it and was she ever right! Did she read my favorite scent notes ? Incense, neroli, right up my alley.

In the imp and wet I got floral, as it started to dry I got the incense. Close to the skin it smells clean, but wafting around me I catch the incense again. I used to work at a metaphysical bookstore where we burned incese almost non-stop and all the books had this delicious (to me) odor when you'd open them up. That's what I smell like.

  4. I'm loving this scent. Wet and in the free imp from the lab (thank you), rose and a little green. Then the incensey smell starts to kick in. Darkens up the rosr. I start to wonder if I smell old lady like, but no, it's more like I smell like a sacred whore of Babylon. I smell like ritual. I smell sexy and mysterious. :P I'll probably buy a big bottle of this.

  5. Pumpkin with pear, white wine grapes, and jasmine-laced tea.

In the bottle all buttery pumpkin, with a light note of something sweet behind it.
Wet, pumpkin butter. As it dries the butter diaappears, pear and wine grapes appear. Not grapey like candy. Like I'm on a picnic in a vineyard. Having tea and pumpkin tarts. Delish!

  6. In the imp: cherries. thought I wouldn't like it, but wet on the skin it immeadiately began to change. No cherries at all. Almond, cinnamon, dragon's blood. Dry I get that smoky vanilla that some people were talking about and a hint of grapefruit, of all things. But I like it.

  7. In the imp and wet I get neroli and bergamot with something a little dark. Dry close up I get vanilla and maybe a little musk, reminds me of Snake Oil, but whiffs that I get from moving around still contain the neroli. I flove this. :P

  8. I did not read any reviews or description of elements in this blend before trying it, so I'd be wondering if I had a mislabeled bottle if it weren't for the couple of reviews that are similar to my experience.

In the vial, I smell patchouli or vetiver.. On the skin wet it smells like fresh moist dirt, dark and damp. Dry, it softens and smells incensey. No floral at all on me. I'm starting to wonder if whatever it is that gives me the incense smell amps on my skin.

  9. I didn't read anything about this before I tried it, so I was surprised, nay, shocked to see it has rose in it. No rose for me wet , dry or in the vial. Wet and dry I kept trying to place the note. Something green, something like smoke or leather, wet. Dry and developed it smells like my SO's high end masculine perfume. I can't think of what exactly, maybeYSL. Green, incensy, spicy, yummy. Lasted a long time, decent throw. Mileage may vary.

  10. I got this imp with a few others and so I have no idea how old it is. Wish I did. Because for me, this lives up to the hype. Not so much in the imp, all I could smell was patchoulish with an undertone of vanilla. Not so impressed. On wet it started to bloom into lovely dark vanilla and amber and incense that smooths out as it drys. long lasting and good throw. Love it!!

  11. Can you describe those scents? What notes do you like in them? (particular floral notes, fruits, musk, spices?)

To me, Dolce and Gabbana is oriental, a little spice and a little wood and a little sweet. Like a lighter version of Obsession, which is orientalish too. I've found I don't like Aromatics as much as I thought I did or maybe it's just on me. It is harder for me to pick out notes in commercial perfumes of this sort (not florals) than BPALS. Is that common?

  12. A burned-sugar candy smell

In the vial I thought it smelled a little like maple syrup but not quite, mixed with patchouli? No, not quite. Wet: at first it was okay but with a little harsh note and not so great. Dry, it's a whole new ballgame in Arkham! A great smelling ballgame :P The sandalwood, musk and incense warmed up and have opened. Everything else has added complexity and softness. I can see myself buying a big bottle.

  13. Got this imp off Ebay with a bunch of others and I'm trying them alphabetically.

In the vial I got citrus peel and a bergamot smell loudly ( I think it's the neroli) and something like cherry (which is the raspberry) behind it. Loving it. Did a little swipe with the wand. Could hardly smell it. Dotted the vial on my wrists and rubbed my wrists together and the neroli rose up and swirled around, then the orange came to fore and then the raspberry. And in 5 minutes I had to get my nose right down on my wrist to smell the Smartees and a half an hour later there is only a soft hint left. I wanted this to last sooo much :P . I hope there's something sort of like this that will last on me.
