  1. Refined, elegant, aristocratic.. yeah, definitely

This is a spicy, oriental.. And Jasmine.

This is the sexy woman at the bar, wearing a black dress, drinking stoli straight and not looking at any one. When you try to talk to her, she just stares at you. When she does talk to you, you have no clue what she's saying, because it's in Russian.

    I think I'm love :P

  2. When this came out of the bottle, I was so very worried. Cut Grass is all I smelled.

I put it on anyway, it's only fair.

When I was a little girl, my family and I lived in a swampy little area, and the people there liked to mow their grass first thing in the morning. They would mow the grass and all the other varities of plant life, and tend to their gardens. Roses and mint were both prevalent in the area... and we didn't have a/c, so my windows were always open. I woke up to that smell every morning in the summer, for 4 years. It's a lovely smell... mixed with my mom and dad's morning shower smells making their way into the hall (tone soap and sauve shampoo, and mom's bill blass perfume)... That's what this smells like. Morning in the summer when I was a kid. Cut grass and flowers and clean soap and my mom's perfume. The flowers and the mint are the outside, carried on a breeze, the sandalwood my mom's perfume.

It's a perfect scent of a lazy Sunday morning in the spring/summer, or a pick me up on a depressing dreary winter day.

  3. If all my favorite scents could be wrapped up in a perfume, this might quite possibly be what it smells like.. the white musk, the patchouli, the poppy....

Wet it was just lovely, all musk and this glassy, far away scent.. As it's dried on my arm it's just gotten better.. the soft patchouli comes out on me (because me and my skin adore it). This is a patchouli even my mom (who thinks it smells like dirty hippies) could love. The poppies aren't too floral on me... they give it a girly edge.

I adore it. I am so glad I bought an entire bottle, unsniffed.

  4. 13... When I opened the box from the lab, I smelled brownies.

I found the bottle, which obviously got a little oil on the outside of it too... And still.. BROWNIES! While backing.. Almost brownie batter.

Now, I don't like chocolate scents... but I gave this one a try.

On me, it's easily summed up as a chocolate cake, decorated with live flowers. It smells soft and chocolately, and when you get up on it, you can barely smell the flowers in the background.

I don't know if it's for me or not. I don't regret buying it though :P it is lovely I'm just not sure if I wanna smell like brownies! :D

  5. I adore roses, and florals... so I gave the Ace my best shot.

It smelled wonderful in the bottle. Perfect in every way, even if a little strong.

I put it on and gave it a minute. Its dryer sheets and my grandmother's cheap floral perfume. It has a lot of throw off of me.

But yeah... the dryer sheets thing. It doesn't fade, it just gets stronger. And the throw makes it become more over whelming.

Ahh well... It is lovely, just not on me.

  6. Chaos Theory II: The Butterfly Effect #CCLXXXV (285)

This one's soft and smooth. I really like it. It seems to have Sandalwood, a touch a vanilla, maybe some cinnamon. In fact the vanilla is almost more of a vanilla flower smell.. its beautiful, really. It smells the same on my skin as the bottle. I think this would smell great in an oil burner.

Chaos Theory II: The Butterfly Effect #CCLXXXVIII (288)

I can't place this one. It's green and astringent. It smells like a bath oil I had from Victoria's Secret when I was a kid. I don't think I like it and I can't even place the notes. Not green tea, because it doesn't smell smooth and nice and bright. I don't know, I'll let Jody have at the notes and see what he smells and get back to you all.

  7. Where is my spanish order 4/13 (The empress, The justice, the temperance and Nuit) ?   :P

I think not forgotten or lost... I want to be optimistic! :D

It currently appears to be taking 8-10 weeks for orders to be filled. And internationals can take a bit longer.

Check the "Click-n-ship" and "I got my order!" threads - everyone's pretty good about saying when they ordered and when they recieved their stuff. It seems they're working through April right now. Be patient. :D

If you think it's lost, email the lab's customer service dept. Here's the post from Brian about their progress:

"However there are some orders as far back as 4-1 that are being held up by

some certain oils and we will ship them out as soon as we are able.

    ((snipped))

    Thanks for your understanding.

    - Brian "

  8. This is a flowery vanilla scent on me.

In the bottle it was very sharpy and "perfumey" and it stayed that way awhile. In fact I was worried as it bothered me a lot and made my nose itch - I suspect it is the jasmine.

It's calmed down a lot. It now smells like cookies on me.

    Overall? Not bad.

  9. Aglaea is just absolutely divine. I'm in love. Its all peaches and apricot. I think the wine is what keeps it more Adult, rather than My Little Pony scratch-n-sniff.

Its definitely an uplifting spring scent.

Wet, and first applied, the peach is the strongest, with a hint of wine. As time goes on, it definitely stays fruity and happy. It doesn't fade on me at all. It stays over night. I adore it.

This is definitely a big bottle.

  10. As I continue through all those imps of mine...

Thalia. In the bottle it was cheery and fruity. I smiled just at the smell of it. It stayed pretty fruity, with a hint a champagne for awhile.

Now, a few hours later though - its just generic floral. I wish it had held on to more of it's original fruity bounciness.

Not bad, I just don't like the dry down at all.

  11. This has quickly become my favorite scent to wear. Ever. I keep it in my purse (that's high up on my perfume food chain let me tell you!)

It does, in fact, smell like CK One on me. And I liked One... but this fades more into something sexy and ambiguous to me.. It doesn't stay all day though, but I like reapplying

Oddly enough it smells bad on Jody and he dislikes it on himself. But its great on me. Maybe it's all the testosterone :P Its on the "Big Bottle" List :D

  12. The first time I smelled this in the bottle, I thought it would be good.

My boyfriend just went "Motor Oil"

I brushed him off, thinking he ws nuts.

    Now, I have it on.

Motor Oil it is. Really expensive motor oil... Maybe the garage where Jaguars are fixed.

    Still Motor Oil.

I smell the lime and the rest, the vetiver.. but still there's that motor oil scent.

    :\

    Ahh well...

  13. On me, this smells like walking into a room where someone is making large amounts of tea on a spring day just after it's rained, with the windows all open. Its gloomy, but in a comfortable kind of way.

I think I'll be saving this imp for those rainy days off when I stay at home and read. :P

  14. I'm no good at these., but I'm making myself :P

The easiest way I can describe this is that it is something I would love to clean my house with. Perhaps it's the lemon. I like wearing though. Its light and floral. It didn't do much at all my skin.

It's not holding on very well though. There's no "throw" or anything..

Overall - I like it. I'll be keeping the imp and might consider a 5mL in the future.

  15. I think I have the world's most sensitive nose. If I wore enough Samhain or Black Cat to kill a 5mL in a month I'd be a walking migraine (and people around me would complain).

I radiate off a lot of heat though, so smells come off of me really easily...

I haven't even made a dent in my Samhain

  16. Namaste

Well.. I like it. It smells, quite frankly, like a hippie commune on me.. all patchouli and cedar and sandalwood. Like a new age store down by the beach. It makes me think of summer and long dreaded hair, and sandals and bells on my ankle, and dancing in circles at the concert with rusted root in the rain.

However - My skin loves the ingredients and amplifies them... and my boy isn't too fond of the smell over-all.

I guess I'll be wearing it when he isn't around :P

  17. I actually washed up just to put this one on...

Queen of Diamonds smelled very sharp to me in the bottle. I was a little unsure of it all..

Wet, it stays sharp, citrusy and what I am assuming is this ozone/aquatic smell people mention. It's almost a pain to breathe in

Early dry, it's still sharp and fruity. But it's more like an orange with spikes, vs a nice squishy orange on a summer morning

Later, the florals came out. It smells like a department store perfume. My boy and I talked through and we landed on the idea that it smells like CK's Obsession.. I'll have to check that out next time in Dillards.

Final judgement, I can't rush on this, but at the moment, Her Royal Highness might not be extending her stay in my humble home. :P

  18. Jack - sickly sweet and cloying. Like Yankee Candle during a Fall Holiday Sale.

It smells like butter. Butter over some kind of sugar coated nut. Maybe there's a pumpkin sneaking up in there, but I don't smell it. On my skin it makes me dizzy and ill and turns into a tub of creamed butter and sugar. My boyfriend and I agree whole-heartedly that this is not a "body" scent for either of us.

However - Then we made the decision to dump the imp into the oil burner and light my Red Delicious candle. Mmm Mmmm MMMMMMmmmm!!!! It smells like a bakery in here. A wonderful. scented, enveloping bakery. Like this one I know back home that makes awesome apple tarts and pizza... *smiles*

So, I've murdered the imp, and I may be buying a 5mL just to keep that yummy bakery smell in my house through all the coming cold months.

  19. I'm horribly allergic to Malice. I put it on and my skin instantly got inflamed and red and swollen and I started to itch so badly I want to peel my skin off!

Hence, I swapped it out. I still don't know what caused it... I'm gonna look at the break down so I can figure it out. I've worn a lot of straight essential oils and I have only been ordering stuff with notes I am familiar with (and allowing the lab to throw in whatever they want as random, so it works out)...

  20. This scent changed 8,000 times on me, and I liked it every time.

First when wearing it, it smells like that heavy, cloying potpourri found in Bed, Bath and Beyond. A few hours later, it smelled like pumpkin pie.. and the a few hours later, cocoa and cinnamon, and now it smells like burning fall leaves... It's amazing how it changes over time on my skin.

    I definitely love it.

  21. Roses. Lots of Roses. I know that it's roses because it smells like my great grandmother's bedroom, and she, like me, loved roses. The moment I put this on, I felt 4 years old again, running my finger along the lace edge of the cloth on her dresser, looking at my grandmother's wedding photo. I remembered sitting on her lap and hugging her..

And yet, it's not old ladyish. It made me feel playful and mischevious.. I like it. I see bigger bottles in my future of this...

The scent did not change too much on me, except the roses coming out in full force... so there's not much to say about the dry down. But my computer room still smells like it. :P

  22. Bath and Body Works has a muscle relax/pain line. I bought my mother the lotion for her feet (she has chronic pain in her feet and will be operated on Dec 3).. It really helped her a lot and the scent of it relaxed her.. I believe it had rosemary and spearmint and eucalptus in it.. I don't remember off the top of my head - they also have a soak, powder and other stuff made specifically for muscle aches and pains...
