SEASONAL SPECIFIC QUESTIONS

Do you celebrate any winter holidays?  What and how do you celebrate?  Please give as much info as you'd like.

> I exchange gifts with my family and friends for Christmas but I'm not Christian, so it's just the good old capitalist appropriation. I love the idea of the solstices marking the longest and shortest days of the year, weeks and months seem to fly by but at least the solstice doesn't usually come as a surprise.

Do you decorate for the holidays?  Please give all the info about with what and your style.

*  If so, would you like seasonal decorations?

> I put lights up outside since it's so dark over the Winter, and I put some Ikea seven pointed star lanterns in the front windows a few years ago and never took them down. I haven't done a tree since I bought my house five years ago and I keep going back and forth about getting a small one. I always loved the glow of the tree and hanging ornaments when I was a kid.

What is your favorite thing about the holidays?

> I love a good snow, and bundling up nice and warm, having big meals with the fam and bringing leftovers home.

Favorite holiday memory?

> Trimming the tree, probably. Although I have a wayback memory of my grandpa's basement before he quit smoking his pipe and moved to Florida, so tree trimming and pipe smoke.

Have you been Naughty or Nice? Would your cat (or cats in general) say you have been good about completing chores for them?

> I have been quite nice! 25% of my day is cat tasks. I live to serve!

Describe the sorts of cat items that you think it would be fun to receive:

> Cat stickers or cat related wall art (I sometimes put postcards on the wall)

Cat themed tree ornament, yes or no?

> no tree at present, so no

Can you commit to  mailing your package between December 2nd and December 9th?

> absatively

BATH & BODY

Favorite BPAL:

> Snake Eyes Gleaming, Knave of Hearts, The Seesaw, to name a few.

Favorite non-BPAL perfumes:

> PBSW The Queen Is Dead (I have this perfume but would certainly enjoy more sugar scrub)

Favorite notes for perfume or bath & body:

> Loves and likes: beeswax, honeycomb, cacao, lavender, patchouli, clove, copal, incense, smoke, cardamom, anise, licorice root, peony, magnolia, narcissus, orchid, tobacco, most sandalwood, rosewood, oud, ginger, gingerbread, cedar, oak, pastry, berries, plum, banana, white peach, fig, pumpkin, hay, vanilla, ambrette

> Sometimes good, sometimes bad: amber, ambergris, roses (better luck with red/black than pink/white), honey (burnt or smoked honey is good), balsam, vetiver, jasmine, coffee, red musk, peach, dead leaves, champaca, leather (black leather is more iffy than others)

Least favorite notes or notes of DEATH:

> More often bad than good: black musk, most white florals, saffron, red apple, white sandalwood (sometimes these will work in the right blend, but not if they are super prominent)

Favorite B&B product types:

> I really like the PBSW sugar scrubs.

Product types you nope out on (i.e., don't want.):

> I have too many soaps at the moment (although they don't really go bad...) and I don't use scented lotions.

Allergies or ingredient restrictions related to bath & body:

> My skin gets angry at random things, I tried some products with hemisqualane and found them irritating. I usually get stuff without the parabens and sulfates etc. I'm also scent sensitive so I'm picky about what scents are going on besides BPAL.

Skin type (oily?  dry?  t-zone?  eczema?):

> more oily than anything, but I finally have my skin care situation sorted out and don't need anything like this.

Hair type (bald/shaved/long/short/david bowie labyrinth mullet?  dry/oily?  straight/curly?  fine/full?):

> Curly/wavy approaching shoulder length.

Shower, tub, bathing in a river/by waterfall:

> Mostly showers, sometimes baths

Would you like nail polish?

* what brands and/or nail polish colors & types do you like?

* do you need a base or coat?

* how about other nail accessories like stamps, files, stickers, wraps, etc.?

> Sure, I use base coats and top coats,  I like ORLY, and I like trying fun colors. I am always losing nail files, and I like press on nails (I have only tried Static Nails but I'm sure there are other good ones). (I like the short/round length from static)

How do you feel about receiving homemade B&B products?

> Happy to give it a try!

CLOTHING & JEWELRY

Personal clothing style:

> part Ms. Frizzle and part slouchy sweatpants

What do you most need for winter:

> Could do with a beanie type hat, an extra pair of gloves, a scarf or another neck gaiter (I wear them like oversized headbands). I love Smartwool, but I know they're pricey, so that's definitely not required.

Favorite Colors to wear:

> I love to be colorful but I also love to wear black, so that is probably super helpful! Mustard yellow, forest green, navy blue, pumpkin orange.

Least Favorite Colors to wear:

> I don't wear neons or pastels really.

Share sizing on these wearables that most appeal to you (shirts, socks, arm/legwarmers, scarves, shawls, cowls, hats, t shirts, sweaters etc.)?  List specifically what you can wear this yule season if climate is an issue.

> Sweaters/sweatshirts - usually ladies large size/unisex medium. Beanie hats/headbands OSFA usually works.

All please give sizing on socks especially, sometimes the cutest holiday themes are in footwear:

> Socks for ladies shoe size 8-9 US/39 EU. I have a strong preference for wool or alpaca blend socks - nice and toasty and moisture wicking. I cannot abide cold toes! (sorry to be a sock snob!!)

* are you allergic to any types of yarn or fabrics?

> no allergies

Do you like jewelry?

*  What types do you wear?

*  What sizes and/or lengths do you prefer (wrist, ring, neck, ankle)?

> I like a nice longer necklace, like 20-28" chain. Almost any sort of earring (posts/dangles/hoops) but I like the front/back kind lately.

What medium do you prefer for adornments?  (ribbon, cord, leather, silver, gold, hemp, cotton, etc.)

* Are you allergic to any type of jewelry materials?

> any medium, maybe not hemp. no allergies.

Favorite gemstones or types of beads?

> I like bolder jewel tones and fun colors. Maybe not turquoise.

Do you need or want hair adornments?  (head bands, clips, barrets, hair sticks, scrunches, combs, pins, elastics, hair falls...)

> Headbands and wraps that are appropriate for giant heads would be handy (flexible/stretchy/looser). I'll be approaching ponytail length soon.

How do you feel about receiving gently used CLEAN jewelry or clothing items?

> Fine by me

How do you feel about receiving handmade wearables or jewelry?

> Honored to receive!

HOME & LIFESTYLE

What is your home decoration style, or what would you like it to be?

> Aspirationally eclectic, but it's probably more confused/cluttered.

> My living room has all the primary colors, and my bedroom is purple and grey.

Least Favorite Colors for home decor:

> um. actually Christmas colors lol. I don't love red and green together.

Do you have any fandoms?

* favorite characters from any fandoms?

> I do love Hannibal

Would you appreciate decoratives or art for your home?

*Are there any restrictions (no naked people, no breakables, that kind of thing)?

> No restrictions. I prefer to be able to hang art/decor on the wall, instead of take up space on a horizontal surface. I'm already terrible at cluttering every available inch of horizontal surface that's available!

Do you have favorite artists or a favorite style of art?

> I love Camelia Pham and I don't have any of her work. I also love Feral Femme Art and Pam Wishbow.

Do you have room for wall art or would you prefer to receive it as something else?  (stickers, pins, buttons, wearable, travel mugs, bags/totes, shower curtains, rugs, etc.  I'm thinking of the types of things from Society 6 or Redbubble, etsy, etc.)

* Do you want to receive art (in the medium of your choice described in above question) based on your affinities or fandoms?

> no mugs! I have so many mugs and I always want more but I have no rooooom. Wall art is good. Stickers/pins/bags are ok too.

Do you scent your home?

* candles?  what types?

> beeswax candles or unscented candles (tealight/votive/pillar are all good)

* room spray?

> not really?

* incense?

> yesss I love to burn the incense. (cones/sticks/loose are all good)

* wax burner?

> yup I got those

> mostly the same? although for holidays I love a good pine type of smell. the BPAL Fir Needle and Smoke duet is amazing, although I rarely wear it.

Are used books/magazines Ok?

> of course

* Are there any hobbies or crafts you'd like to learn?

* Do you need any supplies for your hobbies or crafts (beads, paint, canvas, project bags, ink, brushes, thread, yarn, needles, hooks, soap molds, etc.)

* How about patterns or books relating to your hobby/craft?

> I putter around with some jewelry making sometimes and I like to fold origami birds instead of using fidget toys

How do you feel about receiving gently used movies, music, books, games, crafting items, or home decor items?

> no problemo

FOOD

Vegetarian / Vegan?

> not technically, but I prefer to eat less meat these days and my insides hate dairy.

Other Food Restrictions?

> hot singles? jk. allsorts tho.

Do you cook or bake?

* need any kitchen items?

* need any spices or speciality flours/sugars/salts?

* anything else you would be able to use?

* Coffee?  Whole bean, ground, roast?

* Tea?  Loose leaf, bags, green, black, tissanes, flavored?

* Alcohol? If so, favorite kind / flavors?

> I have recently discovered my love of instant coffee, which makes me a laughingstock among coffee purists. If there are any fun flavored instant coffees I would try them. I also do any kind of tea, with a preference towards herbal, but caffeinated (black/green) is good too. I also enjoy getting spices for mulling wine or doing hot toddies.

> not sure

Do you have any allergies, intolerances, or lifestyle restrictions/requirements that weren't already covered?  (cigarette smoke, animal allergies, environmental allergies?  Whatever you want your swapper to be aware of environmentally.  Food and Jewelry allergies were covered above.)

> not as far as I know

Is there anything you absolutely do NOT want to receive? (like say you have 5,000 bars of soap, coffee cups, or socks...)

> I like surprises. forgot what I said here last time.

Please place your wishlists and moodboards here (or link them in your signature) to give your swapper great ideas of what you like):

How about booze itself, specifically, moonshine whiskey infused with spices and fruits?

> whiskey is my poison of choice, so perhaps a small sample

Brown sugar shortbread? "Plain" buttery or flavored? Favorites include lavender and chocolate orange, but I could definitely do a holiday spice or peppermint batch or two.

> yes to all!! if you can do them with dairy free butter (country crock makes good dairy free sticks that are easy to work with)

Interested in anything from Odins Daughter?

> no thanks

I make infused vodkas! The one I am most proud of right now is a spiced hibiscus liqueur. I make this as a jelly, too.

> trying to drink less lately, but a small portion of specially infused vodka would be neat to try. could also do the jelly.

If I can find the recipe, I want to make my grandmas Orange Slice Cake.

> I would love a mini cake but it might not be worth it to sub out the buttermilk

I do molasses gingerbread cookies, as well as  hot cocoa cookies, florentines and butterballs. Any of those sound good? OR homemade chocolate fudge? I can do peppermint, coffee or orange additions, with or without nuts.

I love rum cake, pumpkin bread, gingerbread, ginger snaps, lavender anything, orange spice anything, chocolate mint anything. I'm not super into fudge, but it would still be a treat to try some for the holidays. Really if you have a recipe that you love, I would love to try it.

PBQ

Pickety witch has the yule offerings up, including Yule Cat pins (black or white) and ornaments.  Which do you love most?

What kind of cat representations do you like?  Realistic?  Modern/abstract?  Cartoony?

> well this is an unexpectedly difficult question. I like realistic and modern/abstract. and I'm sure each of those has a range of interpretations, but in my head I am stuck on the fact that there are so very many cartoon styles! generally speaking I don't think I'm into cartoony cats, but I'm sure there are some that are great? I feel quite conflicted. also I have not narrowed anything down with my response, lol. yw!
