If you want any knitted things -- color preferences?    I can do stripy mitts, cowls, or hats.  Solid or gradient color shawlettes, cowls, mitts, hats.   Colorwork hats or cowls (base color plus whatever color for your skull, ghost, bat, jack o lantern, spider, witch hat, moon, cat, or whatnot.)  Solid one color for soap bag, washcloths, or tarot bag.  (I think I only have purple silk for the tarot bag.)  Pick three or four colors for Gnomes (one of those colors will be their beard, I usually use white.)

I have an angora rabbit and she's currently molting. Would you like rabbit fur for spinning, felting, or other crafty uses?  Ooh that would be lovely.  In the spring when I can work outside, I’ll be back continuing to perfect my nuno felting skills.  It would be fun to see how bunny fur works.

Do you need any spices? Technically yes, but it’s the basic cinnamon I’m out of, so that will be resolved shortly.  This said, if you have or make some regional blend, I’d love to try it.  Especially if it plays well with tofu & comes with your favorite recipe.

Haus of Gloi Valentine goodies -   My favorite products of theirs are the bubble scrub & the pumpkin seed lotion.  Of the valentine scents I like the sound of Epicurean, Superfreak, or Come Hither.  The Blackcurrant & champagne butterball sounds like a nice soak with an audio book & some sparkling wine (okay cheap prosecco)

I love bath bombs, especially lavender based blends or something with lots of moisturizer like that little but potent one from Lush - I think it's called Butterball.  I do not do wax tarts – no thingy to melt them with.

What kinds of home smell good things do you like? (I.e. incense, candles, wax melts, felt scent balls, essential oils, linen spray)  Candles or linen spray mostly.  I’ve never tried felt scent balls.  I don’t use wax melts & incense only rarely.

Local infused/flavored honey with Southwest notes (jalapeno, other pepper, mesquite, acacia)?  YES!I I love local or infused honeys.  I can’t have a lot of sugar & things like that give a flavorful bang for the carb points.

If your bday is during the swap, how are you planning to celebrate? My Birthday is August 12, so yes it is  during the swap.  I have not decided what I want to do yet on the actual day, but on the Saturday (8/13) I will be in a massive, nearly commercial kitchen with my besties doing what we call Canning Palooza doing big batch canning for 4 households.  Tomatoes & pickles are the main themes.

Likewise, how do you celebrate relevant spiritual holidays in this time period?  Observing the seasons & progression of things in my garden.  Bonfires in my newly built fire pit.

If so, what thickness, style, and size?  I love tights.  Not sure I've seen different thicknesses of them, I guess mine are average weight & opaque, maybe a little less for the one lacy pair I have.  Sizes are all over the place.  I'm 5'9" & wear an 18-20 or 2X depending on the garment.  Hips are 50"  Style - full foot over footless, not into super brights, but other than that whatever you think is cool or pretty.

Yes I am A total yarn hoar.  That bamboo yarn sounds fantastic and should knit or crochet up lovely.  I love purples, teals, greens, blues,saturated jewel tones are my faves.

I am afraid to send chocolate in this heat.  What other things might you enjoy?  TEA!  Especially with flavors to make fun iced tea for summer (berries & fruity flavors as opposed to spicy, chai like flavors).  Coffee is good too.

I love socks – I’m really well stocked on the no show/ankle type.  Crew, Knee or over the knee are welcome.  Most all fibers, but cushy wool crew or knee socks are the best.  I have heavier calves.

I grow mugwort and it's harvest season. Would you like dried leaves for bathing or tea? Or a bound bundle for smoke cleansing? (Its said to be excellent for divination or lucid dreaming, but do not use if pregnant.)  its also a digestive bitter and tastes great on chicken.  Sure.

I grow loads of other herbs and I'm drying them now. Any favorites you might like? Mint, basil, oregano, chives, lemon balm or others?  Basil & Lemon Balm

I grew a huge load of onions and garlic. Any interest? Garlic, some to plant & some to cook with.

Feathers? I have geese, ducks, peafowl, chickens and quail. So I collect their shed feathers and share them with people I like.  Feathers are always a hit here – they are the ultimate cat toy, although I have some pretty ones in my studio that I hope they never find.

I grew a boatload of Green Shiso this year and plan to make a shiso pesto with it. Would you like some? (Nut wise it has pistachios) That sounds marvelous.

I also plan to experiment with infusing it in vodka. I'm planning a plain shiso infusion and a shiso citrus infusion. If they turn out would you like some?  Would love to try some, especially that citrus one – be sure to include a festive cocktail recipe.

Would you be interested in some very size-inclusive tights? There are Halloween patterns, but also most colours under the sun, and are very comfy.  I love size inclusive tights.  I’m 5’9” with a 45”waist & 52” hips for size chart purposes.

What about indie chilli sauces/chutneys/jams? What type of chilli/spice level? I am an official chutney junkie.  Jams are cool too, in fruits I don’t already make myself.  I usually order Thai food as medium spicy if that helps (I’m not into ghost peppers, reapers or habanero)

Do your pets like treats? 

My cats love treats & toys.  Catnip mousies are awesome – even simple balls where you put catnip in a square of muslin, fill w/ Nip & tie a string around it are beloved.  Random found bird feathers are also a popular item.

Do you have fiber preferences or allergies for knitted/crocheted items? 

I love most any yarn for something with the exception of really stiff acrylic.  If it’s next to my skin, I prefer natural fibers.  Good colors for me are purple, grey, black, greens

How do you feel about used books?  Love them utterly as long as their prior home was not with a smoker

Scent Wish List

In general, I’m open to trying anything that you recommend as long as it does not have a musk note – that is the ultimate gagging death note on me.  The most I can handle is in Serpentine that I think has a teeny bit from the Dorian component.  Other things I don’t do well with – Patchouli, smoke/embers (I keep trying smokey ones & keep hating them)

My very best common notes are lavender, amber, & vanilla.  Lavender forward is a wonderful thing.  In the less common notes, I find that I do really well with alcohol notes like bourbon, whisky, or rum – one of those things I found with a handful of imps.  I also love cardamom, blackcurrant, & pear.

In general, I always find something to love in any year’s Lilliths series, the Weenies, & Yule/Winter.  I love bath oils too.

Oh that would be fun.  I play CDs when I’m in my studio.  I’d love one with Celtic music – instrumental or not, If it’s in Gaelic, that’s cool.  It’s more about the sound environment while I’m playing with fiber & art supplies.  Or old jazz - say 1930-1950s.  Also fun background sounds.

Pumpkin/pumpkin spice – yay or nay?  Yay in food/drinks but nay in other products (soaps, perfumes, etc.) or vice versa?  What are your thoughts?  I love pumpkin spice.  I loved Pumpkin Spice before the PSL was a major thing.  I love pumpkin too. 

Candy corn – love it or loathe it?  Or just don’t care much one way or another?  I loathe the original one, but am curious about some other flavors I saw. Maple was one of them.

Books – used books are always fine as long as they don’t smell of cigarette smoke (allergies – no fun to read while sneezing).  My current format for novels is mostly audio book.  I’m kind of late to the party but I am really enjoying them this way & can multitask while working on fiber projects.  I have an Audible account & other apps that let me listen to other types.

I love Urban Fantasy, especially series that I can follow.  I prefer the ones that are more mysteries as opposed to “paranormal romance”.  (Some sex is fine if it makes sense for the characters, but the mystery & adventure is more what the story is based on).

I’m current on Charles DeLint, Kevin Hearne, Kim Harrison & Faith Hunter (unless there’s a brand new Jane Yellowrock).  I love Seanan McQuire’s October Day series & believe I’m current – but have not read any other series she has.  I’m in the middle of Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series but have not read any of her other series.  I’ve read the Kate Daniels series by Illona Andrews, but not any other series (some of which I hear are straight up romance novels – no to those please).

I’m open to other writers & other series if there is open you can recommend.  Please start me with book 1.
