12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS 2016

WINTER WONDERINGS
Do you celebrate Christmas? Another winter holiday?: Christmas
Do you decorate? Would you like to receive decorative items?: I work retail so I never really get to decorate - I'm too busy
What are your favorite things about winter/Christmas?: I love carols and dinners with loved ones and christmas lights and trees and snow and eggnog and wrapping presents and warm blankets and cuddling in front of the fire with my furbrats and other half.
What is your favorite Christmas/winter holiday memory?:
When I was a kid we had an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. We would decorate the crap out of that house, and there was a real fireplace we hung our stockings on. We always got a ton of snow and the 2 years we were there, Christmas morning was magical.   ALL ABOUT YOU
Allergies and dietary/lifestyle restrictions (if applicable): no allergies to food.
Favorite color(s): black, blood red, emerald green, amethyst purple, deep wine, chocolate brown.
Least favorite color(s): white, pink, yellow
Favorite Christmas snacks and treats: shortbread! ferraro roche chocolates, toffifee, clementines, marshmallow peanut butter squares, Turtles.
Do you like coffee, cocoa, and/or tea? I love coffee and tea. I use a french press for coffee and I adore David's Tea and other loose leaf kinds. I love all teas and prefer dark roast coffee (but would enjoy flavoured coffee also).
Favorite bath & beauty products: Lush is so my jam. Same with Villainess. I like scrubs and bath bombs and oils and bubble bars and massage bars. I don't like lotion or cream.
Favorite scents (both specific notes and perfume blends):
BPAL: GC - Alice, Anubis, Chimera, Dorian, Envy, Morocco, Old Demons of the First Class, SIn
LE - Antique Lace, Callisto (moons of Jupiter), Chokmah, Unseelie, Elf V4, Fetish.Goth, Gemini 2016, Tombeur, Pickled Imp, Ebon Night (TAL), Seduction IX (TAL), Lawn Gnome, De Vos' Unicorn, Snake Charmer (Orig), Bleep Censor, Tintagel
NAVA: Bastet, Eternal Ankh. Viktor Rolf SpiceBomb. Atelier: Vetiver, Vanille Insensee. Lush: Lord of Misrule, Karma.
NOTES: vanilla, lavender, musk (red can be iffy), honey, patchouli, frankincense, myrrh, blackberry, currant, chocolate, pine pitch, oak moss, ambergris and vetiver in small doses
Least favorite scents (both specific notes and perfume blends):
rose, violet, jasmine, lily, cedar, gardenia, ozone. Aquatic and Cold/winter scents are very hit or miss. I hate perfume like Chanel No.5.
Your favorite books/authors/genres: Neil Gaiman. Kelly Sue DeConnick. Warren Ellis. Jacqueline Carey. I love fantasy, horror, scifi, cheesy paranormal smut books, young adult, etc.
Your preferred book format (Kindle ebook, Kobo ebook, paperback, etc.)?: Book (but used books in good condition are loved).
Do you collect anything?: comics, books, Maneki-neko, Pop Funko Figures, Action Figures (mainly from tv shows/movies/comics I love), blurays, clothes, jewellery, Squishables, vintage and new LP's (I like stuff. srsly)
Your favorite fandom(s): : Harry Potter (Hufflepuff represent), Stranger Things (tv show), Labyrinth (movie), Marvel (specifically Captain America/Avengers movies and in comics Captain Marvel and Kate Bishop Hawkeye), Mad Max: Fury Road (movie) and The Flash (TV).
What are your hobbies?: reading, writing, singing, travelling, cooking, movies.
Would you like any supplies for your hobbies?: Spices and kitchen gadgets are always welcome.
What sort of music do you like?: I love all music except for Industrial, techno, country, death metal. I'm here on spotify if you want to see my playlists or bands I've been listening to.
*Are there any holiday albums you're looking forward to?: Nothing new - I own The Nightmare Before Christmas on vinyl and that was my big one. I do love the Grinch though (original cartoon, I hate the Jim Carrey live action debacle)
Do you have VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray?: I have dvd and bluray.
*Does your player of choice have region restrictions?: I'm in North America so region 1 is the norm (I have no idea if my blu ray player can play other regions, I know my PS3 can't)
Is there anywhere that you would like a gift card or online credit for?: Sure! Lush, the Lab or Post, etsy, villainess, sephora.
Things you could always use more of:
Do you wear nail polish?: Yes, but I don't believe you can send it via airmail so it might be out for me being international. I love OPI, BPTP, China Glaze and Orly. All colours except for red and pink and bring on all the sparkles and matte as well as pearl finish.
Would you like makeup?: sure! I love makeup.
*If you would like makeup, what sorts would you prefer?: lip gloss, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, blush, finishing spray, lip balm
*Any favorite makeup brands, colors?: I love urban decay, nars, too faced, benefit, sephora brand, body shop and NYX.
*Any hated/not-preferred makeup brands, colors, or products?: I have really irritable skin and can react to makeup and skin care product. If it's not on my fave list, please don't chance it.
Would you like holiday makeup, body, or nail gift collections (example: Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Eyeshadow Palette or Glazed Apple Treat Box Gift Set from The Body Shop)?:
Sure! I love cranberry from the Body Shop, or Lush's holiday items (Lord of Misrule bathbombs) etc.

*Sizing on wearables: L-XL for tops, socks/shoes size 9, arm and leg warmers, average?? I wear a med-l in tights and my arms aren't skinny or thick.
Home style: modern with eclectic vintage and antique with pop culture pieces.
Would you appreciate decoratives or art for your home?: sure
*Are there any restrictions (no naked people, no breakables, that kind of thing)?: I have a small place so nothing super big for display or wall hanging and the furbrats are active so the less breakable the better.   Will you be having your birthday during this swap?: no
Would you be open to receiving handmade items?: yes of course (scarves and mittens! boxes for bpal!)
Would you like to be partnered with someone who likes handmade items?: I don't make anything but I could try to? Or try to buy handmade stuff.
Is there anything you definitely do NOT want to receive (things with nudity, profane language, etc.)?: Language is fine (I swear like a sailor) and nudity in a classic sense (old art for example) is fine - but nothing porn derived or cartoon.   Would you like your partner to spoil your S.O./child/cat/dog? What do they like?: It would be appreciated but it's not a requirement (in case you need ideas I have 2 cats and a fiance who stole all my trader joe cookies my switch witch sent me )
Are you comfortable receiving good/like new condition used items?: yes that's fine
What are five inexpensive things you always appreciate receiving? tea and coffee, funky pins (especially ones of my fave fandoms or bpal), lip balm (burt's bees or something handmade from etsy), chocolate, fridge magnets. And dish towels (funky, fun, colourful).   Is there anything we haven't mentioned that you'd like to share with your partner?: THANK YOU SO MUCH! Working retail means the holidays are really stressful and crazy for me. I can't wait to open your presents and look forward to (hopefully) making a new friend.   Please place your wishlists here:

BPAL

I love crocheting, it's my favorite hobby. Can I make you a scarf/cowl/sweater/lap blanket to keep you wintery-warm!?
YES PLEASE! I love blankets to inifinity and beyond and scarves in Canada are a necessity and I'm unsure what kind of sweater it would be but as long as it was kinda big and oversize (like an XL) I'd love it.

Is there any craft or hobby that you are interested in trying?
I have lots of stuff I'd like to learn but zero time to do so. I'm still hoping to finish knitting a toque I started 5 yrs ago.

When it comes to makeup, what is your coloring? Fair, dark? Sensitive skin? Eye color? Hair color? Style....funky, natural? Any additional makeup info?
I am fair and sensitive skinned. I have hazel eyes and naturally brown hair that gets coloured whenever I'm bored (it's currently like autumn right now - red hues and brown tones). I love funky and natural - Urban Decay is my fave line and while I love their Naked palettes, I equally adore my Moondust and Spectrum ones. I'm really in love with Sephora right now. But drugstore brands are cool too! NYX is great.

Do you like to receive plants or gardening stuff? Do you grow plants? What's your favourite flower, if you have one?
Tiny apartment so no thank you. I love lavender and lilacs the best for flowers. Plus I have this weird thing for pansies. They're just simple and pretty.

How do you feel about amigurumi (i.e. little crochet toys), either characters from a fandom, wee animals, or as decorations?
No thank you.

How do you feel about knit socks? (Plain stockinette, lacework, cables, etc). Are there any other hand knit items you'd especially like? (Mittens, fingerless gloves, hats, etc).
Arm warmers and fingerless gloves, toques and cableknit socks are awesome.

What kind of snacks do you like? Does dried fruit or crunchy dried vegetables sound appealing? Do you like (raw) honey? Jerky? Jam? What sort of local products do you like to receive as gifts? If you're familiar with products in the Pacific Northwest, is there anything specific you'd like to try?
Dried fruit is a yes, I love apple leather and sun dried tomatoes are amazing. Jerky is welcome! I love beef and turkey jerky. I love cool mustards and jams.

Would anyone mind bath and body works items? Such as hand sanitizer, lotion, candles, car scents or soap?
I love the aromatherapy line from B&BW. Specifically the Lavender/Vanilla Sleep body wash or the Eucalyptus Tea body wash or the Sensual Black Currant Vanilla Body wash (I like body wash lol). I'm not a fan of anything else really aside from some of their candles, but shipping them to Canada is not cheap.

If you had a custom perfume/beauty/bath product made for you, what would it be and what would the scent description look like? (everything from prose to the specific selection of notes) :
I adore lavender and vanilla best - but black currant, beeswax, opoponax, benzoin and resins are great things to mix in.

I love drawing! Either fanart chibis on the tablet or portrait work in graphite pencil... but it's been a while..so I'd love to use this as an excuse to draw something for you! If you could commission an art piece, would you choose traditional or digital artwork- and what would it be of?
Oh my gosh that would be great! Either medium is welcome, and I'd love something based on one of my fandoms in my questionnaire (Labyrinth, the Flash, Harry Potter, etc)

Christmas decor this year:
Sigh. I dunno. I'm hoping to get my tree up and I don't ever do a theme or a colour scheme, I love my tree covered in my hallmark ornaments, my old awful wooden ones I've had for years, treasured glass pcs from my fam etc. It's the same with my apartment. There's a lot of mismatched oddities that have special meaning to me, rather than out of a Martha Stewart Christmas magazine. I also have 2 cats so no plants or tinsel.

What's your shoesize? Would you like to receive socks?
Size 9 US and sure! Wool is itchy to me, unless it's merino and I love prints and colors.

I live in The Netherlands but I will visit England soon and might pay a visit to Germany. Anything special from here that you'd like to try?
I love London! Anything UK themed is great. My family is from Lancashire so anything from there would be cool so I can show my Grandpa.

Do you have any interest in Shakespearean swag (insult mugs, play themed lip balms, oodles of other possibilities) or general performing arts related goodies?
No thanks.

What is your favorite Christmas story - be it book, movie, cartoon - and if there are various versions, which is your favorite?
A Christmas Carol is important to me and I actually adore the muppets movie version the best. I try to watch it every year. Also, The Grinch who Stole Christmas (not the terrible Jim Carrey abomination but the Boris Karloff classic cartoon), Rudolph and Garfield's Christmas.

Do you have a preference for numbered packages or random selection?
I like the idea of them being numbered for some reason (but if my Snow Angel would like to leave it random, that's awesome too).

Do you have any external wishlists, Goodreads, or anything else that you might not have listed in your survey?
I have nothing else aside from ThinkGeek (which needs to updated). If my Snow Angel needs that, I'll update asap and email it through a mod. I am on Goodreads but I've not updated that in forever either

For books that are part of a series, do you have a strong preference for whether you receive them in order, assuming that any overarching plot is reasonably easy to pick up on and the main story is self contained?
In order please, I'm weird that way.

I make paper albums and journals. Would you be interested in receiving something like that? Would you like some other type of handmade paper craft?
You can never have too many journals.

I stalked your etsy and noticed you like gemstones in jewellery!
If yes, what's a list of your favorite semi-precious gemstones?
Garnet, moonstone, flourite, alexandrite, emerald, amber, labrodite, onyx.

What animals do you think are considered cute?
Foxes, cats and kittens, Corgi dogs, owls, chickadees, raccoons and otters.

You mentioned scarves in your questionnaire. Are you referring to a chunky thick keep-me-warm-in-a-snowstorm scarf, or a light and lacy could-be-warm-if-I-wound-it-a-hundred-times scarf?
Both are great. I wear indoor scarves for fashion and since I live in the arctic I need warm in snow scarves too.

Are you currently ISO any BPAL new or otherwise? What are your top 10 scents?
Wishlist in my sig but my top 10 scents are: Chokmah, Snake Charmer (original), Dorian, Alice, Fetish.Goth, Pickled Imp, Sin, Morocco, Tintagel and Unseelie.

My ISO's are: Unseelie, Tintagel, Molly Grue, Chokmah, Gemini 2016, Ebon Night (TAL), Callisto (Moons of Jupiter), Tattered Lace and Seduction IX (TAL).

Black Friday will be a thing during this swap, anything you might want that will be on awesome sale?
If anything I've mentioned is on super sale mode sure! We have BF here in Canada but it's nothing to the extant that it is in the US, so I'm unsure if any of the brands I've shown love for go on awesome sale.

How do you feel about sweeteners? Do you prefer sugar, stevia, sucralose, etc.? Anything in particular to avoid?
I only use real honey and real maple syrup, sometimes some agave nectar.

Games:
I am into video games for my 2DS and PS3 but I've already pre-ordered Pokemon Moon. I love Lego games for my PS3 and would love Lego The Force Awakens or Lego Marvel Avengers but only if it was on sale super cheap cause video games are expensive.

Would you be interested in:

- Dried honeycrisp apples - YES!

- Applesauce (with red hots for sweetness and cinnamon) no thanks

- Rose petal liqueur - I was already gifted some of this amazing stuff

- Blackberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, or Peach Jam - Blackberry please

- garlic dill pickles - no thank you (we make some every year from my grandfather's recipe)

- raw honey from bees on our property - yes please!

- Baked or homemade goods (rum balls, spritz cookies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, fudge, cranberry bliss bars, chocolate topped toffee, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, princess buttercups, chex mixes, trail mixes, etc.)
I think that baked goods might not always survive a post border crossing. If my Snow Angel is in Canada then I adore peanut butter cookies or marshmallow bars, pumpkin bread and brownies. If you're outside of Canada then chex mix or trail mix or something that might be less likely to get confiscated or have an expiry date.

- handsewn project bags or makeup bags? We do different sizes, some with zippers, some with draw strings. I can get all kinds of fandom type fabric like Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Nightmare Before Christmas, Hello Kitty, Harry Potter, My Little Pony, Star Wars, Mario Brothers, etc. I have some glittery bats, skulls, etc. too.
If you're interested, what size would you like and would you prefer drawstring or zipper
I'd love either type (drawstring or zipper) and I'd love any of my fandoms I mentioned in my sign up.

Cookbooks:
I tend to use the internet instead. I don't have room for cookbooks

To Read list:
I haven't had time lately to read anything which sucks. If my Snow Angel thinks I'd love a book based on my likes, go for it.

If there's one place you could go in the world, where and why?
Narrowing this done to 1 place is hard, but I've alway (since I was like 8) have wanted to see Ireland.

What sort of dollar store items do you always get a kick out of? For example, I always love those silly expandable sponges.
I love toys for my cats (those annoying balls with bells in them are adored by my one cat, the other loves the little furry mice) and pens/sharpies/pencils etc.

Trader Joe's: YES PLEASE!!! TRADER JOE ALL THE THINGS. Seriously, I love cookie butter and cookies and biscotti and omg I wish we had TJ in Canada.

Ralph Lauren Romance is on old fave.   Least favorite notes: ROSE. JASMINE. MAGNOLIA. CARNATION. Basically, really heady florals are awful and headache inducing. Even violet, geranium, etc don't really work. I love vanilla but the super foodie ones are plastic (oh hai there Snow White, boo, midway, etc). Aquatics are pretty much migraine territory along with ozones (ambergris is nice in the background) and snow is iffy (so far yellow snowballs is the only one to work on me).   Least favorite non-BPAL perfumes: anything currently hawked by kardashians or other pop stars of the moment that stink like fake candy musk. Yuck.   If Beth made a custom blend for you, what would the notes be, and what would you want the label art to look like? It would smell of lavender buds, blackberry, sweet beeswax with myrrh and vanilla mixed in. Label art would be my slinky black cat Atticus, a well loved book and my down blanket.   Lifestyle Style/home decoration style: thrift shop/bohemian mixed in with the odd quality antique piece. Its that good.   wine, coke, coffee (all kinds of coffee - blond to dark roasts), pumpkin spiced lattes, matcha from teavana, chai anything.   Favorite authors/genres: Neil Gaiman is my hands down FAV for everything. I love fantasy (urban, futuristic and classic), suspense/horror (I still reread Stephen Kings the Stand yearly), classic children's (Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan), old YA (S.E. Hinton's the Outsiders, Lois Lowry's Number the Stars), new YA (Hunger Games, The Fault in our Stars), Harry Potter for life, yo, and I dunno - I really still enjoy JD Robb's IN death series, Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon and the Kushiel's Chosen series from Jacquline Carey. Gimme all the good comics like Captain Marvel form Kelly Sue DeConnick, her Pretty Deadly (I haven't tried the BPAL oils yet, but if you have - read the book, its AMAZING), Hawkeye from her hubby Matt Fraction, Saga by Brian K. Vaughan, Lumber Janes - ack, I could go on forever.   Least favorite authors/genres: Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey. Anything that falls into similar realms, I'm out.   Books/authors you'd like to read, but haven't yet: I'm kind out of the loop - I have a ton of new stuff downloaded to my iPad like Gone Girl, Annihilation, Fangirl, Game of Thrones series, etc that I haven't had time to read yet. I'm a huge lover of fiction though, dear witch, I'll try to read anything. Seriously. OH! Vonnegut, always wanted to try his stuff.   How do you feel about receiving gently used books as gifts? Hells yeah!   Favorite stores (including clothing stores): I'm in Canada, pretty small town and I work for a clothing store so it's hard to pick a store that might be available where you are Switchee. Let's go with some basics, I guess - Winners (Marshall's/TJ maxx in the US, I think) as I love good prices and different stuff, Urban Outfitters, Hot Topic (for all my geeky Marvel/comic clothing and accessories), the Disney Store, HMV, Lush, Bath and Body Works, Victoria Secret, Lulu Lemon, H&M.   Favorite online stores (including B&B stores): lush, sephora, blackmilk clothing, bpal, etsy, RIPTapparel, teefury, villainess. I like to sketch and I like using markers and watercolour pencils but I'm nothing special. Still trying to teach myself to knit after 4 yrs. I which I had more time to be crafty. I do write and I love to sing.   Clothing & Jewelry Hair type: long, fine and straight. Lots of it. Basic brown. Skin Type: Pale, dry, sensitive Allergies (specifically B&B related): sometimes perfume oils with cinnamon can burn but its really only after applying immediately after showering. I am prone to breakouts so I'm pretty fussy about what I use on my face, but body stuff I don't have any specific allergies/issues. Other things to avoid: see above Tub, shower or both? BOTH. I love them equally. I would shower/bath five times a day if it wasn't such an awful waste of water. Favorite bath & beauty products: LUSH bath bombs and shower jellies and soaps. Villianess soaps and smacks. Paintbox soapworks (the queen is dead!) Clothing Style/Fave garments: Huge love of tights lately (hello black milk) and longer tees and hoodies and sweaters. Do you have any allergies to metal? Yes. I wear costume stuff but it does make me break out in rashes or turns my skin green/black. I don't mind, only wear it for a few hours. Nose stuff however, super sensitive. Only gold or titanium - everything else causes major infection. Favorite gemstones: anything. really. Love raw gems and super expensive stuff. Sock/Shoe Size: 9 Random Questions: Random Questions: - On a scale of 1-5, how organized are you? Depends on the day. Good days 5. Bad days a 2.   - Where, outside of the U.S. would you love to visit? (if you're international, this can be anywhere) Ireland, Italy, Australia, Thailand, Hawaii, St Marten, Iceland, ack, so many places, I love to travel   -Where, inside of the U.S. would you love to visit? Hmm. I've been lucky to do some travel in the US. I think I'd like to see Arizona or Texas... but then Montana looks beautiful... and, I mean, Alaska - wow, looks stunning! For cities, I really want to see Boston, New Orleans, Savannah.   -Favorite City in the US/World? London, England   - Do people tell you that you act older, younger, or your age? A combination of all 3.   -If I gave you a toy gun with flashing lights, would you hide and start shooting people from around corners OR would you thank me on the IGI thread and then quietly donate it (a niece, Oxfam, Goodwill, wherever)? (there are no wrong answers for this, so don't be afraid to answer honestly)   I'd do my best Chris Pratt imitation (pew pew pew!) and then probably donate it to a local charity so a child could enjoy it.   - What animal do you feel like the most? I am such a cat.   - Your favorite feature about yourself: Mouth. And my laugh.   - Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere? Small urban center in the middle of nowhere.     -Have you ever thought, "oh, I'm going to get myself one of those one of these days" but then never do? List 1 under $10 and 1 over $10. Under $10 - mocha/crazy/whipped/ twenty named drink from Starbucks (I order 2 things only from that place since its so MUCH, price and ordering wise - pumpkin and chai lattes) Over $10 - decent mascara (a la Dior or other obnoxiously priced designer lash extender)   - How do you feel about boi witches? Good? Boi or gurl don't matter.   - Do you like garage sales (boot sales)? Yes! I also love thrift shopping.   - I like to slather my food in :   Every once in a blue moon I need blue cheese dressing.   - State fairs or carnivals? Neither. We have the CNE in Toronto (which is 2.5 hrs away) or local town fairs, but... meh.   - You throw caution to the wind and runaway to join a traveling circus. What job would you want ( a main performer, a side show, a behind the scenes spot, etc) and why?   I'd want to be the announcer/ring leader. Top hat and tails are always classic.   - What mythical or fantastic race of creatures (dragons, unicorns, griffins, elves, dwarves, faeries, etc.) do you most identify with?   I'm a total bad ass elf maiden. Or, ice queen vampire. You decide.   - Imagine that you're given a shoebox-sized time capsule, and you are asked to put any number of items in the box that symbolize who you are. The items can be may be anything you can imagine, and money is no object, but they must fit within the box. What do you choose?   Bottle of bpal, my first ring from my guy from our first Christmas together, my galaxy s5, pics of my furbrats, my work name tag.   - Do you need storage boxes/bottles/containers? Decorated or Plain? I only really could use an ammo box for imps since I just participated in the bpal holder swap.   - The world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours?   Honestly, my best days ever are the ones spent lounging in bed with my guy, eating ice cream and watching bad movies on netlix. Or chilly autumn evenings with blankets, a book and my cats. I'm really low key.   - Do you like steampunk & if so what kind of steampunk item would you most like to receive? I think Steampunk is really cool but I have no real knowledge about it. Anything would be neat I guess!   - Do you have an etsy shop? nope   - Would you like to receive baked goods, if so what kind? Maybe something that would survive Canada Post. Homemade candy? I dunno.   - What is something totally random (yes, that thing that just popped into your head) that hasn't been covered by any previous questions? Who wears short shorts? (yes that really just popped into my head. it's late and I'm to be up for work in 5 hrs).   2. I currently have a CSA and my significant other is perpetually out of town for work, so I've been doing a lot of canning and baking with my vegetables. How do people feel about canned good (pickles, salsa, etc) and vegetal baked goods (squash bread, zucchini bread). I make pickles and my mother jars everything else under the sun (srsly, I'm still trying to finish off her peach mango salsa from last year) so I'm going to say no, UNLESS it's jam. Then you can mail me all the raspberry/strawberry/rhubarb/blueberry fruitastic goodness. As for baking - if you think it can survive the journey to Canada (and Canada Post) I's any kind of bread is a plus.   3. Trading Post wants? ALL THE HAIR GLOSS. That stuff is amazing. I'm really into trying any amount of Snake Oil hair gloss or bath oil. I've never tried the BPTP soap before so that would be cool. I love goblin squirts for atmosphere sprays and my current loves are: erebos (huge insomniac here), exotic bazaar, and unspeakably evil temple. But I'm game to try anything. Bath oil samples would also be most welcome. Tissue tees are lovely. Or you can browse the Wishlist I made for family and boy: http://blackphoenixt...list/?wlid=4265 5. How about y'alls coffee and tea preferences? I LOVE coffee. I have a tassimo and would happily take t-discs for it. I enjoy tea as well but refer loose leaf stuff like teavana. 6. Do you cook? Would kitchen accessories make you happy? Kitchen gadgets are AWESOME. I love to cook (loathe baking though). Recipes are awesome! Send me your favs! 7. How do people feel about creative endeavours? Would you like to receive one? Or supplies to make your own? What do you like? Drawings, stories, poems? I love artwork, drawings, paintings, homemade comics etc - it's all good. I love to write and I play around with sketching/painting.   8. What culture or country (doesn’t have to be modern) do you feel an innate connection with? What about it makes it special to you? I'm Canadian, so my country's quite young in comparison to many others out there, so I tend to love reading/discovering about ancient times. Really no personal preference to the country itself, but when you can enter the ruins of say a temple that was built thousands of years ago - that fascinates me. Ancient China or Egypt or Rome or whatever.   9. Is there any sort of art commission you would like: cartoony, pin-up, fantasy, realistic, etc? If so, what subject would you like drawn (a picture of you, a character, a loved one or pet)? I would love to have someone tackle my favourite Comic Book characters. My guy painted me an amazing Wonder Women, but she's lonely looking on my wall. I adore Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), Jenny Sparks, Emma Frost, The Bat Villains (Harley and Mr. J especially), Death, Dream and Delerium from Sandman, Constantine...   10. What do you find yourself doing for fun in your free time? What are your main hobbies and interests? Reading, writing, movies, traveling, eating out, good conversation with great friends, wine.   11. Table-top gaming? If yes, what kind, edition, etc? Gaming accessories you long for? Nope.   12. DVD movies or games that you wish would magically appear in your hands? I can't really think of anything off the top of my head that I MUST have right now.   13. What kind of snacks or candy from other countries/states would you like to try? I love funky chocolate bars, penny candies, mints (there was this AMAZING kind of mints that I received from ReallyZeb I think in a candy swap that I still need to try and locate more off), licorice, tim tams, etc. (If any SW is looking for some Canadian Candy - ketchup seasoning for popcorn/chips, maple candies, laura secord, etc let me know!) 14. Do you have a favorite internet meme, character or pop culture fandom? I LOVE all things pop culture but tend to avoid fandom since it can be a scary place. I do have in my letter all my fav shows/movies/books/comics/things I flail over.   15. Do you have a Facebook profile (or other social media) that you are comfortable linking to aid your witch in stalking? Please note whether you are willing to add BPALers as friends. I've updated all that info into the google spreadsheet listed in the mod's signature, feel free to add me on anything. Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!):     16. Anybody interested in something from RCCC, whether it's con-exclusive merch or from a particularexhibitor or artist? I'll have to take a look, but if it's anything to do with any of the comics I squeed about in my survey OR anything from Kelly Sue or Matt Fraction, I'm so there. 17. How important to you is regular contact / chatter with your witch? basically, whatever my Witch is comfortable with is fine with me. I love being emailed and snail mailed and trick mailed by nacho witches and all that jazz but if you're more laid back, or shy, or not into it - don't worry dear witch. That's cool with me.   18. Do you like puzzles/riddles/treasure hunts and that sort of thing? I love puzzle video games like Professor Layton or escape from the locked room thing. I don't like actual puzzles though. Treasure hunts are awesome!   19. If you were to receive music, would you want a physical CD or digital versions? Digital, as I have no cd player and my laptop doesn't have an optical drive.   20. What’s a current problem/annoyance you have that could be remedied but you haven’t had time to address it? Hmm... a million dollars? There's not anything I can think of right now. Will come back if I do.   21. How do you feel about having some sort of trinket to carry around for good luck/wishes? i.e. a small figurine, symbol, card, coin… Sure! For the vegetarians and vegans: How do you feel about things (say, marshmallows or gummy candy) made with vegan gelatin or other typically-animal-derived-but-not-in-this-instance products? n/a 24. Ok, so we've covered pumpkin. How do you feel about the other fall classic – apples? I love apples in food and in smells! Just not perfume - so far. It usually ends up like potpourri/yankee candle on me. I haven't found an apple dominant blend I love yet.   25. Do you have any fabric or skin-contact aversions? It's covered in my questionnaire for skin issues, but fabric-wise wool is a no go for me, I itch like crazy   26. How do you feel about Christmas/Yule ornaments? Sure! I love ornaments. My tree is covered with kitschy and classic - I have the old handcrafted wooden ones, and stuff like James Dean and Dracula. I'm not one who has to have her tree follow a theme or match a decor. 27. How do you feel about Hello Kitty, and Hello Kitty accessories (including mugs, cups, etc)? Not a Hello Kitty fan. At all. Sorry!   28. If you had a week free where you could learn anything, with no financial restrictions, what would you want to study? I'd want to go back in time and be all Indiana Jones and do field archeology in exotic places.   29. Do you enjoy poetry? Who are your favorite poets and what type of subject matter do you like? I do like poetry! I'm kinda all over the place with favourites: Sylvia Plath, Tennyson, Robert Graves, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Robert Browning, Emily Bronte, Walt Whitman, Christina Rosetti, Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine etc. I tend to collect bits and pieces of verse vs entire collections from poets - sometimes it's only one poem or even a line or two.   30. Go to your music source of choice - on random or shuffle setting if possible - & share with us the 10 most recent songs/artists.   1. What Sarah Said - Death Cab for Cutie 2. Tarot cards, rune stones and/or other divination tools yay or nay? I have a Tarot deck that sadly, I've never really taken to. Do you have a Celeb crush? or someone who you just can't get enough of....other than your SO I adore Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Colin Farrell, Chris Pratt and Idris Elba. 36. Glitter? are you okay with it, or hate it like the plague? I like a little bit of glitter, especially in my eye shadows and nail polish.   37. If there was another time period other than now that described your style/aesthetics, what would it be? Not really, I tend to pick little bits of styles from various time periods and work them into my own style.   38. If you had to pick one or two quotes to live by, what would it be and why? There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. ~ Maya Angelou   You can take the road that takes you to the stars now I can take a road that’ll see me through ~ Nick Drake   39. Do you prefer physical books? CD books? eBooks? If eBooks do you have preferred format, kindle/nook/kobo/PDF/ePub/ect? eAudio? I read a lot on my iPad but I find I still prefer holding a book in my hands - the feel of the paper, the smell, the sound of the pages turning, etc. I still like ebooks though.   40. Smut! Yes or no? If yes, what kink, er, kind? I don't mind smut! Well written for sure. No perferred kinks.   41. Ebooks! Yes or no? For sure!   42. If you were to get a custom bottle from House of Gloi made for you what notes would create your perfect blend? I outlined something similar in my questionnaire but based on HoG's notes I'd pick: beeswax and honey, lavender, vanilla bean and sweet cream. Might help curb my insomnia.   43. If your witch were to take a photograph (or paint or whatever) of something just for you, what would it be? Landscape? Flower? Critter? Something to illustrate a favorite quote? I WOULD LOVE SOMEONE TO CREATE SOMETHING BASED ON THE NICK DRAKE QUOTE I POSTED ABOVE. I've trying FOREVER to figure out how to make a tattoo design inspired by that quote.   44. What is your favorite Halloween animal or other symbol/decoration? Black cat, skulls and jack-o-lanterns.   45. Makeup, especially of the indie variety. Nail polish, nail wraps, eyeshadow, lipstick/gloss, etc. Y/N? Specific preferences (color, finish, product, brand, etc.)? I love geek chic cosmetics! Though, unless you're in Canada don't send me nail polish. It's a prohibited item to mail. I like all eye colours except black or red shadows (I'm paaaallleeee), love gloss of any kind but lipstick is not my friend. 46. How do you feel about profanity and off-color humor? It's what gets me through the day. I think I've probably said fuck more times than any other word. Ever. Sarcasm is therapy for me, as is laughter. Off-colour humour is fine, as long as it's not at the expense of someone else.   47. I make hairsticks...would you like/use them? Sticks fall out of my hair sadly. I have the finest, straightest hair.   48. Does anyone here LARP? If so, what kind of LARP? And what kind of character do you play? Don't LARP. 49. Would you completely freak out if I sent you a chocolate covered scorpion or some other food oddity? This includes things like 'bacon powder' from thinkgeek.com. I hate bugs so maybe nothing like that but the idea of chocolate + bacon is intriguing.   50. This has kind of been covered, but, are you ok with receiving canned jam (from a veteran jammer!) and if so, what flavors would you like and not like? ALL THE JAMS! Raspberry, strawberry+rhubarb, peach, etc. 51. Let's talk nail polish. What colors do you love? Hate? Which brands are you dying to try? Have you ever used indies? Do you like glitter? How do you feel about getting a special Halloween plushie? OH YES! I love me some plushies.   53. I'm in Japan, anything specific you might want from the land of the rising sun? OMFG ANYTHING!! I also LOVE Sailor Moon (hint, hint). 54. Are there any GC scents that you know you love, but for whatever reason, keep putting off buying bottles of? Oh man, I am so bad for that. I missed out on Tintagel for that very reason. Right now I'd say: Haunted, White Rabbit, Crowley and Bordello. 55. I know not everyone likes Lush products, but if you do, which Lush items would you like to get from your Witch? Bath Bombs are my jam, yo. The Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar is a staple in my home. I also love their foot powder.   56. Is there anywhere (in the US) that you are dying to get away to? Also when would you be able to get away. Would this even be something you were interested in? If so, go look at the Southwest sale for routes and dates and times. Sounds very generous, but I'm heading into the busiest time of my work year and I won't have any time off once we hit Mid october until February of next year.   57. If you are ok with receiving t-shirts, what size are you, do you prefer tissue tees, normal crew tees, babydoll etc? ALL THE TEES! I love Teefury and RIPTapparel. Tissue tees and babydolls preferred over normal crew tees. Large normally unless it runs small than got to XL.   58. THINKGEEK! Who loves it - do you have a wishlist on there?? What are some things you are jonesing for on there for under $20? I don't ever really go to thinkgeek to be honest. https://www.thinkgeek.com/brain/account/wishes.cgi?a=d&wid=82114dc93 59. Cats especially. Domestic cats to big cats, I love them all I also love fennec foxes, red foxes and wolves. 62. Anyone have any Paintbox Soapworks loves? OMG YUUSS! I adore the Queen is Dead soap. I've never tried any of tarty's other creations - I would love to try her sorbettos but any kind of soap is good. 63. How would you feel if your witch or a minion of your witch showed up in person at your house with goodies? Thrilled? Annoyed? Completely creeped out? I'm rarely home, and tbh it would be a little strange. Can't leave anything on my doorstep either as I'm in an apartment building and it would get stolen in a heartbeat. 64. Do you have a ravelry account? Tell me about your yarn obsessions. I'm still, STILL trying to teach myself. Witch, you got any secrets to knitting or links to helpful videos please feel free to share. No supplies though, because I've barely touched the yarn I already have. 65. Sock Dreams, yay or nay? You know, I've never even looked at their site. Upon browsing, I do like their footie socks and anklets and midcalves and I'm all about bright colours and funky patterns. Please no knee high or thigh highs though over the knee might work. I really like these. 66. Knitted items like scarves, shawls, dishclothes....yay or nay? Favorite fibers? Favorite colors? SURE! I live for scarves, shawls not so much and I have a ton of dishclothes already. Fibres, merino or softer, non-scratchy yarn. I would love a chocolate brown scarf or something to go with this parka I own or I would love an HP themed scarf (any house but Hufflepuff). I you want to surprise me with a cool design or colour scheme go for it. 67. Is your Amazon WL up-to-date? I actually refuse to shop at amazon after I had a horrible customer service experience there over 2 years ago, so sorry I don't have a WL for that site (not that I would be upset to receive something purchased from there, they have good pricing and free shipping, so I completely get why people love them). I do have my etsy wishlist in my blog and I will be adding somethings to it of all different kinds/prices to help out my Witch for some ideas if they're struggling. 68. If you were to receive handmade caramels, would it matter if they were made with raw cream (unpasteurized)? nope   69. Would you enjoy getting a sampling of quality incense taken from various sources? Are there types of incense you know you don't like? Would you want a burner for loose incense and a few charcoals to get you started with that, or would you rather stick to simpler types? I've only ever experience the cheap ones on a stick that gave me raging headaches so I have no idea if I'd like incense at all. And the boy is smell sensitive so it probably wouldn't get used much, sorry. 70. I know we already had a question about needed kitchen accessories, but what about spices? I love cooking so spice away! All kinds, even kitchen spice staples are welcome/   71. Would you like handmade stationary or cards? How about a quill pen? Sure, handmade stuff is welcome. Quill pen, probably no. 72. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being "gimme that ghost pepper!" and 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" Where is your heat tolerance? pretty solid 5. Especially though, anything chocolate and peanut butter or kisses (chewy molasses candies, not the hershey chocolate things) or rockets. 74. Do you need or want any cosy footwear, like fluffy slippers, or slipper socks etc? SLIPPERS. I LOVE SLIPPERS. Knitted ones, oversized stuffed animals, whatevers. It's cold where I am. 75. What do you most look forward to each Fall? First and best - the scents in the air. If you've never smelled the air on a crisp morning in northern Ontario - maples leaves, and smoke from chimney's and ack - it's amazing. Secondly, I loathe humidity and where I live, it's lovely in the Summer, except for the awful layer of mugginess you carry with you. Ugh. I much prefer the way the air cools and the breeze picks up and the early Autumn thunderstorms that occur nightly for a few weeks. And well - sights like this are amazing. 76. What gadgets do you use in your everyday life and would you like a cool case for them - with your favourite fandom or artwork or saying? I just got a Galaxy S5 and would love a cool fandom inspired case! 77. Are there any beauty accessories you need or would like? For example make-up brushes, facial brushes or eyelash curlers. I'm useless with a eyelash curler and I have a really good set of brushes, so I'm good thank you. 78. Would you be disappointed to get one big box, or would you prefer a bunch of little ones? And would you be disappointed if your witch actually had it together early and sent it to you sooner than later? I'm good with what ever is good (and affordable) for my witch. Shipping to Canada is not cheap, so you do what works for you, dear Witch. 79. Stores are putting out their halloween PJs and undies! Would you be happy to get any in a package? And if so, what size? For PJ pants, do you like cotton or flannel? PJ PANTS ALL THE WAY. I live in comfy pants. Cotton is great (flannel too hot for me) and I prefer it loose and comfy - L/XL please. 80. Do you like M&Ms? But of course. Peanut and Peanut butter are my faves. Anything but plain really. 81. How about wax melts? No thank you. I have buckets of scentsy I'm not using so I really have no use for wax tarts either. 82. Would you like a subscription for Spotify? We JUST got spotify in Canada (actually it's still not available for everyone, beta site still) so I don't think that would work here yet - but it's a great idea. I love it so far. Kicks songza's ass really. 83. What scents from the Lillith update would you like to try? MY WITCH IS LOVELY AND IS SENDING ME BLUEBERRY PICKING. Hugs friend. 84. Would you be interested in receiving a box of sugar cube skulls? They're really cute but I don't use sugar in my coffee or tea so it would be a waste I'm afraid. 85. Skin care routine? Fave cleanser? Toner? Moisturizer? What about body lotions? Any particular brand or scent? Lip balms? Yay or nay? LIP BALMS. ALL THE TIME. My skin is temperamental, and I've got vats of body butters but I can always use lip balm. Anything from burts bees to Haunt's lip lusts to anything on etsy or if you love a brand and you think I'll dig it please send. I do like more natural things over say, blistex though. 86. Is there anything you would like from Salem MA (mugs, keychains, postcards, etc.or witchy supplies like incense, candles, books)? Ooh, I love magnets for little souvenirs or a candle would be cool. 87. Would you be interested in any of the items in LisaNut's etsy shop? Scarves are always welcome. Love the infinity ones. 88. Spiders (as in cute knit kind) yes or no? Hmm, not really. They squick me. Bugs in general are a no go. 89. Pillows (the mostly decorative type)? I love pillows! Funky throw pillows are always cool. 90. Any kind of bags - big, small, medium, purse, grocery, etc? I have a lot of purses and I'm notorious for my collection of reusable shopping bags, plus my sling pack/back pack/carry on bags are endless, so unless it was something super unique or fandom oriented - probably a no. 91. Is there anything special coming up in your life? I'm going to NYCC! Super stoked about that. 92. Which one scent would you want from each of the following updates: Metamorphosis, Lilith and GC? Meta: hmm, Question Mark looks amazing. GC - I'd have to say White Rabbit or Baku or Chimera ( I seem to have misplaced my bottle, le sigh). 93. Are you interested in anything from NYCC? I'm going to be there, so I'm fine on that front. 94. Would something from the Tokyo Game Show (e.g. postcards, fans) possibly interest you? I'm not sure what that is, but if you think I'd dig it, sure. 95. Would you enjoy any of these couple rings? Or anything from the same store's Halloween collection? I LOVE the Han and Leia ones but my guy doesn't wear rings. Really awesome idea though. I really ADORE the "Something wicked..." and "Something in the wind..." bracelets though. 96. If you imbibe at all ... preference between: wine/beer/cocktails and then glassware and/or bar-ware? cocktail gadgetry? Books on the subject/recipes? would you want sample bottles of local/regional/small batch craft spirits if they were home decanted and labeled? I'm a huge beer/cider/wine lover. I prefer microbreweries or imports and books on mixing are always welcome. I have a lot of gadgetry already though. Pint glasses are always welcome, if you can find affordable shipping. 97. Would you like some chai, lemon, rose water or other flavored sugar cubes? No thank you. 98. Jamberry nail wraps? No thank you, I prefer polish and I ruin it so fast anyway at work, it would be a waste of money. 99. If you had to choose one currently available book (used-but-obtainable counts if you do used) costing $20 or under for your Witch to buy for you, what would it be? OMG - hmm, great question!! How about The Perks of Being a Wallflower since I loved the movie or maybe Sex Criminals Vol 1.   I will update my bpal wishlist (it's in my sig) as soon as possible and here's my etsy.com https://www.etsy.com...ef=favs_index_1 to help show what I like.   If you see baby stuff saved it's not for me as I don't have kids (my bestie is due in October and I'm trying to find gifts).   I will be away in NYC from Oct 6-12 so if you mail something to big for my mail slot at my apartment I won't be able to get it until after I am home (let me know via a mod so I can arrange to have packages held for a few days if you have to send something, or wait until I'm back ) Notes (Here's where you can add additional information you'd like your Switch Witch to know!):   I'm just gonna copy my FB profile:   Constant reader and movie freak. Music lover and hidden poet. Taurus on the cusp of Gemini. Cat person. Shopaholic. Lover of all things shiny. Marshmallow centre covered by hard candy coating. Gypsy. Ninja.   I WILL LOVE EVERYTHING. I PROMISE!! And huge HUGS and THANKS in advance. [

My age mostly (when I'm sick, I regress to a 5 yr old)

- Your favorite feature about yourself:
My laugh and my eyes.

Small town that feels like the middle of nowhere.

-Have you ever thought, "oh, I'm going to get myself one of those one of these days" but then never do? List 1 under $10 and 1 over $10.
Under $10? Funny apron for when I cook. Over $10? Nice set of watercolour pencils or calligraphy set.

- How do you feel about boi witches?
Awesome

- Do you like garage sales (boot sales)?
Yup. I love bargain hunting.

- I like to slather my food in :
tzatziki

Meh. The CNE is 3 hours away and the local fair kinda sucks. I'm sure a real state fair would be awesome though.

- You throw caution to the wind and runaway to join a traveling circus. What job would you want ( a main performer, a side show, a behind the scenes spot, etc) and why?
Lion tamer. Or Ring Master.

- What mythical or fantastic race of creatures (dragons, unicorns, griffins, elves, dwarves, faeries, etc.) do you most identify with?
Elves.

- Imagine that you're given a shoebox-sized time capsule, and you are asked to put any number of items in the box that symbolize who you are. The items can be may be anything you can imagine, and money is no object, but they must fit within the box. What do you choose?
My favourite ring, the puzzle box my grandfather picked up while serving in the Korean War, a wine cork, lip balm (I am NEVER without balm and have an extra 10 stashed around my apartment), empty imps of my favourite bpals and my cell phone.

- Do you need storage boxes/bottles/containers? Decorated or Plain?
I love decorated boxes! And I can always use another ammo box for imps.

- The world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours?
Fly to NYC and eat an amazing meal after a day of shopping and sightseeing. Settle into my hotel suite with some very expensive champagne and (hopefully) Tom Hardy.

I think Steampunk is cool, but I know very little about it or what items I'd like.

- Do you have an etsy shop?
no.

- Would you like to receive baked goods, if so what kind?
I like baked goods, so something that would survive the border crossing if necessary. Like Fudge.

- What is something totally random (yes, that thing that just popped into your head) that hasn't been covered by any previous questions?
no.

Dear Witch: You are awesome!! Please know that this questionnaire is just meant to help you come up with some ideas. I am going to adore anything you send me and (hopefully) we'll both gain a new friend. Thanks so much!

Pumpkin: pumpkin forever, yo.

Alcohol: wine, beer (imported and microbreweries), cider, vodka, dark rum, coffee liquer… yah, I like booze.

Are you a fan of the TV show Penny Dreadful? I really liked the first 5 episodes but stopped watching. I love Eva Green and Josh Hartnett, so I will probably pick it up again.

What are your coffee and tea preferences? Do you prefer one, the other, both, or neither (and if it's neither, what about things like hot cider and cocoa)? Loose leaf or bags, whole bean or ground? Is caffeine OK? Any gadgetry you're in need of? Any brands or flavors that you particularly love, loathe, or want to try? I love both coffee and tea. I have a tassimo and use it daily. For tea, I love loose leaf and will try anything - but I love green, rooibos, chai, oolong, herbal etc. Teavana is a favourite but I love discovering new companies.

What's your sense of humor like? Do you enjoy puns? Play on words? Dirty humor? Dry humor? Who are some of your favorite comedians? Dry humour. Sarcasm. Snark. Witty banter.

Do you like board games? If so, which ones? Traditional or more unique? (like Settlers of Catan, Small World, Red Dragon Inn, etc): I love old school stuff like Clue and Scrabble, and I LOVE Cards Against Humanity.

Is there anything that you specifically do NOT want to receive? You know, I really can’t think of anything. Maybe chocolate covered insects. Or bug related in general.

Plain or fun socks? Fun! I love crazy colours and patterns and animals and stuff.

Name one (or as many as you would like) thing you would like to learn more about? Oh god - where to begin… languages, ancient civilizations, travel and culture, food, wire wrapping, soap making, animals, astrology, divination… anything really.

What one thing you would like to do more of? Travel. And exercise.

What are some things that fascinate you? Or, What would you like to know more about? See above

Would you like any cookie butter (just to be clear, store-bought, not home-made, and does contain wheat since it's, y'know, cookie butter)? I discovered Trader Joe’s cookie butter last year in NYC. It’s pure heaven.

Is there any particular piece (or pieces) of art (painting, photograph, etc) that speaks to you in some way? There’s no particular piece but I like Mucha, Degas, Van Gogh, Basquiat and Bosch. I’m also a huge pop culture fan and love looking for art from Mondo or Gallery 1988 as well as etsy.

What kinds of things would you like from the Lilith BPAL or BPTP update (or are you joining a decant circle?) I’m not joining a circle and I’m most interested in (sorry about CAPS, just copying from announcement) GIVE ME THY BREATH, MY SISTER, LITTLE LADY MACBETH, MEUS AMOR AETERNUS (this one looks incredible), EN GARDE, MUDDY PUDDLES and ONCE UPON A TIME. OK, I totally caved and joined a circle and ordered decants/bottles of everything I wanted. I have no restraint.

Do you want to received knit or crocheted items? If so, could you describe or even link to a couple of items similar to what you would like to receive? I love scarves and mittens and leg warmers and handwarmers.

Would you like anything from Lush? More like, what wouldn’t I like from Lush. I love lush, sooo much (wiccy magic muscle bars, shower jellies, bath bombs etc)

Do you prefer hand-made or store-bought? Both!!
SPICY! Scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being "oh, that's a bit too much black pepper for me" and 10 being "ghost pepper? scorpion pepper? I laugh at these! I love as much heat as you can throw my way!" Where are you? A solid 5. I like spice and flavour with some heat.

What is your BPAL "Holy Grail"?
Rares: Antique Lace and Pinched with 4 Aces. I've managed to track down a 1/4 bottle of each but I would take any little bit at all. Also, TAL small batch of Seduction IX. I lost mine in my move and and I'm heartbroken. For GC's, Dorian and Snake Oil are the blends I reach for the most often and love the greatest.
Analog or Digital? Or Both?
Both. I collect vintage LP's and will pick up the odd CD at Value Village, but I love itunes and I paid for Spotify premium because I hate the ads and I like to be able to download my fave tracks to listen to offlline.
What scents from other perfume companies are you really wanting to have in your collection and or are just really wanting to test? Companies like NAVA, Arcana, Solstice Scents, Possets, Haus of Gloi etc.....?
I really, really want to try some NAVA but I find it so hard to navigate their website and understand their terminology - any kind of general catalog samples would be so appreciated. Haus of Gloi, the same (but I'm dying to try Ghost Puffs). Arcana isn't one that I've had great success with, and I've never tried Solstice or Possets.

Do you have an affinity for any specific animals?
Cats. I love cats. All kinds domestic or big game cats. Foxes (arctic, red and fennec), wolves, chickadees. I think squirrels are adorable.

Kitchen Needs or Wants?
I LOVE kitchen stuff. I love cooking. I could use a garlic press, cool tea towels (halloween theme SO welcome), and this is the greatest ladle EVER: nessie ladle
Makeup! Do you like it, would you want some? If so what brands do you like to wear?
I love makeup, especially lip gloss, eye liner and eye shadow. I subscribe to ipsy and and I'm just getting into more name brands (like urban decay and lancome, etc) but thy can be super pricey so unless my Witch works at MAC or a beauty counter, I definitely don't expect it. I do like indie brands like geek chic cosmetics too, and if my Witch knows of a cool brad to intro me to, awesome. I'm down with fun colours and sparkle and really anything aside from yellow shades (too pale).
Chocolate fiends ahoy! What kind of chocolate do you like? Do you like any other things in it or just plain good ole chocolate?
I like chocolate and love milk and dark over white. I don't have any particular brands I must have, but I'd love to try things not available in Canada. I like nuts and toffee and peanut butter or fruit mixed in with my chocolate as well. Caramel/chocolate is one thing I'm not crazy about.
Would you be opposed to receiving a ton of Halloween themed items?
NOPE. Fave time of the year.

Would you be interested in any special little thing I might be able to pick up from the Great Lakes Bat Festival this Saturday? Both Janell Cannon (author of Stellaluna and other kids' books) and Fiona Reid (illustrator for lots of animal field guides) will be there, so would you possibly be interested in something like an autographed copy of Stellaluna or one of Cannon's or Reid's other books? Or something from the Organization for Bat Conservation, like a shirt or otherswag?
No thank you.
What items from the Weenie update interest you, should you have to option of getting anything as a gift from your Witch??? Would you be ok with decants, or bottles?
I did join a circle, but I have a few that I would love to try that had to be cut for budget reasons, and decants are fine Départ Pour Le Sabbat (Aufbruch Zum Hexensabbat), The Witches’ Rout (the Carcass), La Femme de Satan, Frosted Pumpkin Spice Cookie, Samhain, Sugar Skull 2015, Apple I.

What's your favorite scary movie? Or movies, either way. If you don't like horror, what are your favorite movies to watch this time of year?
I adore scary movies. I tend to prefer intense thrillers and comedy horror over torture porn (think Hostel, Saw, The Hills Have Eyes remakes). I love to watch Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream series, Sinister, Insidious, the Conjuring, Evil Dead series, The Cabin in the Woods, The Faculty and the Crow as well as Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic and the Nightmare Before Christmas around Halloween. I always take a 5 day break from work around Halloween, just to watch horror flicks and eat candy and de-stress before my job goes nuclear at Christmas.

Blu-ray or DVD?
Blu-ray or dvd is fine, I can play both.

Game systems - console or computer? Mac/PC? Which console?
PS3 and Nintendo 2DS. I don't game on my laptop.

Are you dressing up for Halloween and if so do you need any accessories for if?
I don't know if I'm dressing up yet, so I'm going to say no.
Talk to me about bags, what kinds do you like? Sizes and styles?
I always like messenger and tote bags. Big enough to carry my iPad Air is good, or to be used for reusable shopping bags.
What are your favorite fandoms and do you want to receive anything related to such?
Currently my fav fandoms are Mad Max: Fury Road, Orphan Black, The 100, Marvel (Movies and MCU - specifically Black Widow, Agent Carter tv/movies but Hawkeye(s), Captain Marvel for comic verse). I would love cool stuff on etsy for these fandoms or anything you think I'd love. (I have a big Funko Pop Figure and Action figure collection, so maybe just not those or have a mod ask me if you're concerned I might already own it).
What are you planning to order from the Weenies update?
I ordered some bottles and decants from my decantress, but anything else I really wanted to try I listed above.

The Last Huzzah of the NY Renaissance Faire happens this weekend and I'm going! Is there anything you might want? (Besides a turkey leg, which won't ship well!)
I've never actually been to a Ren Faire, so if there is something you'd think I'd enjoy, than sure!

Do you like comics or graphic novels? Any issues or collections you want to read?
I LOVE comics. Massively. One GN I'm super eager to read is this one (doesn't have to be a brand new copy; if you can find a gently used verson for cheap, go for it)

Do you like fanfic? Would you like a story written for you as part of your gift? What characters/fandoms/pairings etc do you like?
I love fic, and write it. You can check out my stuff here (be warned, it's often angsty and sometimes has adult/NSFW situations) to get an idea of what I dig. I join Yuletide every year on Ao3.

Where do you have wishlists at? If you could please link to them or to a post that links to them. (Amazon, Etsy, Think Geek, Pinterest, Sephora, Lush, BPAL/BPTP, Soap Box Company, everywhere and anywhere!)
My BPAL wishlist is in my signature and I've got an etsy one in my blog. I don't have an amazon one, my pinterest is purely black milk. I will try to make one for thinkgeek and sephora and list them in my blog asap. BPAL is up to date, etsy is not (I'll fix tonight).

Let's say you have indicated interest in receiving a hand knitted item. What colors, exactly, do you like? If you could provide color swatches here or to pinterest (or something visual), that would help out a lot.
I love emerald green, burgandy/wine, dark purple, soft grey, and deepest black.

Would you rather receive a bunch of little packages through the round, a couple of medium packages, or one big package at the end?
Whatever my Witch can afford. Shipping can be expense. I love getting some little ones and I love receiving a big one. Whatever works for you (I love e-cards and emails and ninja messages too)

For those of us with out-of-country Witchees, would you be happy with receiving a few packages from local to you merchants (say, through Etsy or equivalent)?
Of course!!! I love it when anyone helps to support local/indie merchants and shops.

If/when you go to the mall, for which store(s) do you beeline? Lush, Disney Store, Aritzia, lululemon, Sephora, Roots, Northface, Anthropologie, Top Shop, Bench, H&M, Chapters.

Subscription Boxes: Currently just ipsy, but I'm trying out randomfandom box for October, because Mad Max: Fury Road.

Would Witchees like something from IKEA? (Or any other not always accessible by everyone store?)
I loved my ikea garlic press that recently died after over a decade of use. We just went a few months ago and I bought pillows, callax units for the lp collection, and a bunch of other stuff too.

Do you like tarts/candles/incense? If so, what type of scents?
Incense is a huge no (headache central for me and the boy) and I love candles but, but my other half has a TBI and he's super sensitive to smells. I had scentsy but that was event to much for him. I'll have to say no since some scents are ok and others are completely no for him (I wouldn't want it to go to waste).

Is there anything you wish you could have picked up from the Dragon*Con exclusives?
I picked up everything I desperately wanted, but I'd love to try decants/testers of the peaches.

Is there a GC you've been dying to try but haven't got around to yet?
Wishlist is updated in my signature

**The questionnaire asked about gold & silver jewelry, but how do you feel about copper jewelry? Do you like colorful jewelry, or do you prefer to keep it neutral?
Copper is fine! I have a massive jewellery collection (I worked for 2 Canadian retail jewellery stores for years, the sister sold Stella&Dot, etc). I love all types - fun, loud and statement styles as well as understated and classic. Copper is cool as well.

We asked about decorating style, but are you interested in receiving decorations for your home? Are you interested in things that go on the wall or things that go on shelves?
Both are fine - but I am in a small apartment so space is limited.

Office supplies hound? Pens, pencils, journals, any preference, or favorites?
I love journals, specifically handmade ones. Pens are always welcome.

Talk to me about socks! Is there anything, dear, dear Witchee, that I can get for you from Sock Dreams? Anything from another place?
I've never shopped on Sock Dreams before. I love a pair of fuzzy, soft warm boot socks (Canadian Winters). Bright colours and patterns are welcome.

I live near a huuuuge candy store. What kind of candy do you like? Gummies? Caramel? Chocolate? Sour? Sugar-free?
Gummies, chocolate, sweet or sour. Caramel in small doses is ok.

How do you feel about animal products? Not so much animal toys or food, but more like furs, paws, bones, etc.
No thank you.

Are you interested in receiving any restaurant.com gift certificates for your area?
I don't think this is available in my area.

How do you feel about "toys" - stuffed animals and the like?
I'm such a stuffed animal lover. I have 3 from squishables (Werewolf, Arctic Fox and Grey Kitten). I have some Funko stuffys of Thor and Captain America. I'm a big kid who still collects toys (action figures) as well as high end statues and collectibles. I have some Every After High dolls (Madeline Hatter and Cerise Hood) too.

Did you see the eclipse last night? How do you feel about astrological events, like eclipses? Any interest in the Blood Moon Eclipse scent from BPAL?
I watched for a bit. I'm interested in trying the perfume, but it's not something likely need a bottle of.

Witchee's, how tall are you? And perhaps, what's your arm span (from wrist to wrist)?
5'6. No idea about span.

How do you feel about the 4 elements? Or are you more of an Asian 5 elements person? Do you feel strongly about any of the elements, like a connection or a preference?
I think in order of connection for me it's : Air, Water, Fire and Earth. Air and Water are for sure my strongest connections.

How do you feel about bento boxes? Is it something you would use if you were to get one?
Definitely

Scarves, shawls or cowls? Mittens, gloves, fingerless mitts or wristlets?
Scarves, gloves, fingerless mitts and wristlets.

how do you feel about online classes? Like, say, craftsy or creativebug? Or even lynda.com?
No thank you.

What do we want from Paintbox Soapworks?
Everything. I LOVE PBS. I've only had her soap, but I'm so interested in trying her scrubs. All soaps and scrubs are welcome, any scents.

If I were to make you some art, would you prefer a frame that hangs or one that sits? And what color/style would you prefer?
Hang. I have cats, so sitting frames are not practical

How do you feel about gourmet marshmallows?
sure!
Are you a slatherer or a dabber?
SLATHERER.

Talk to me, dear witchies, about tea. I know we've covered this a little, but I really need the nitty gritty here- not just companies you like and don't like (Teavana? Adagio? David's? Some tiny place?) but I also want to know the other stuff: top 3 flavors, loose or bagged, the kinds of tea accessories you use- or have always wanted. Be specific. Provide links if necessary.

I have an plastic tea maker from Teaopia that is great. I'd love a travel tumbler specifically for tea. I pretty much love all teas, but herbal citrus blends (perfect for iced tea) are my current loves. I don't sweeten my teas aside from the odd bit of honey.

Villainess is putting out brand new stuff for the first time in a while (as opposed to bringing back former lines). Sooo.... who wants it?
Honeyleaf sounds wonderful. I love villainess soaps and my absolute favourite item they make is the Smack. I haven't bought one in years because of the shipping fees.

How does everyone feel about duct tape crafts? Any favorite patterns?
No thank you
Are there any flowers you especially like?
Lilac, lavender are my two faves. Not a big flower fan.

Would you be interested in any cozies or cases (yarn o fabric, not hard cases) for tech stuff (phone, laptop' etc) or for cups/mugs/bottles or anything else similar.
Cozies for my coffee or tea cups are awesome.

Would you like Halloween or Day of the Dead themed ornaments or a "bunting"?
Halloween decorations are always welcome.

Are there witchees who would like book related gifts like a booklight, bookmark, bookseat or something for your reading gadget, like a cover or a light for example.
Sure. Bookmarks are always loved.
I make handmade journals, mini albums and similar items. Would my witchee be interested in something like that?
I love handmade journals.
What songs/music/artists/CD's do you like to listen to around Halloween?
I don't really do CD's anymore - spotify playlists are great though!
Are you interested in leg warmers at all?
Yup.
Is your Halloween style scary, cutesy, folksy, grotesque . . .?
Scary with some cute.

I bought the Portal board game last week & it came with a Portal 2 steam free download code. I already have the game on another console & it's one of my favorite series of all time. Soooo, would you want it?
I don't think so - I rarely have time to play what games I have on my PS3. Thanks though!

Have you read The Martian? Or do you plan on watching the movie?
I'm planning on doing both.
NaNoWriMo - Pertaining to that, how does everyone feel about such things? Will anyone be participating? How about NaNo swag, is there any you want?
I'd LOVE to do NaNo, but November is a such a busy time of work for me. I tend to focus on participating in Yuletide instead.

Honey or beeswax products? Discuss.
I love beeswax lip balms and candles and use only honey or maple syrup as natural sweeteners (I'm lucky to have an apiary down the road from my Mother's house and my cousin taps the maple trees on his property).
How do you feel about bumper stickers and car magnets? What do you like--cute, pretty, snarky, geeky/fandomy?
I just got a mad max themed one for my boyfriends car, and I don't drive so I think we're ok.

Do you have any phobia's that your Witch should be aware of?
No real phobia's but I really dislike bugs.

Trading Post Weenies are live! Anything calling to you?

Speaking of nail things, it that time of year and I am doing my jamberry order, Would you want some Lovely Jamberry's for your nails?
I've never tried! Patterns look excellent. I'd for sure try it out.

Do you like or want to try Marmite?
No thank you.
Some folks have already said they do not want used nail polish. If you haven't already chimed in about that... would you be interested in a bottle of BPTP claw polish (in this case, either Event Horizon or Baku) that has been used for one manicure?
Once used is fine

Are there any DISCONTINUED (not LE) BPAL oils that you wish you had, or had a little more of?
Hmmm... Antique Lace for always and I'm still upset I don't have a bottle of Tintagel, or imps of Yvaine or Nocnitsa.
Is there anything fairly basic that you're always running out of and need to buy more of?
Nothing that I can think of at the moment.
Anything interest you from the recent Blooddrop update?
I've never dried Blooddrop before, but in the Halloween scents I like: Spellbound, Creatures of the Night, Ankou and Paris in Fall. Just decants though, since I've never tried this brand before.   How to you feel about foreign spices/flavorings?
OMG yes. I LOVE to cook and I'm always into trying our new flavours and exotic spices.

Dearest Witchee, can I get you anything from Shiro Cosmetics? I'm going to place an order soon and perhaps you are interested in some of their goodies? https://shirocosmetics.com (https://shirocosmetics.com)

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use?
I've been using the Origins Ginzing line I discovered at Sephora and I LOVE it. The refreshing scrub, refreshing eye cream and energy boosting moisturizer. The stuff has been magic on my super picky and problematic skin (I'm dry and prone to acne at the same time). Origins is pricey though so I'm not expecting my Witch to splurge for me. Origins has great samples of various masks I'd love to try as well, for really good prices.

Bath/shower products?
I adore Lush (twilight bath bombs, the rough with the smooth body scrub, wiccy magic muscle bar and karam soap are my staples), paintbox soapworks and love to try any kind of handmade soap. I'm pretty much down for any kind of bath products - I love to relax in the tub.

BPTP Weenies
Witches and Vampires for Hilary pins, The Ghost Story spray, Lycanthrope Brown HG, Pistachio Pumpkin Cupcake Bath Oil.

Mead
I'd love to try some mead, but shipping to Canada is going to be pricey - the weight might drive that up (and I don't know if it would survive customs).

Those are lovely! I would totally hang Sorsha and Lydia on my walls. For commission work - Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), Luna Lovegood from HP or even Raven Reyes from the 100.

Choker
I don't like things wrapped tight around neck so no to choker style, But if it was made more like a lariat style it would work perfect for me. I love the leaves at the end and if it was a Fall theme for colour it would be gorgeous.
