    Blinding Glory of Love

A potent and passionately exciting love oil. Rub onto your hands before meeting a potential mate. Brings out sexual desire as well as romantic inclinations in those you encounter. Use with caution as this blend brings out amorous reactions without discretion. Firstly, a bit of background. I'm a single mum of a one year old boy. I've been through a very upsetting time with my ex and it left me feeling insecure and deeply hurt. Having spent my 20's in two long-term relationships, I've felt out of the loop when it comes to dating and, though I love meeting people and am very chatty, I'm not flirty or seductive (except with a partner); instead I'm friendly, curious and somewhat geeky. Feeling that I should go out again and just mingle and meet people, I decided a little boost couldn't hurt. I've used BGOL in an über simple candle annointing ritual and simply rubbed some on my hands and on a few strategic places and went out with two very dear friends to drink some wine with and catch up. We went to a small, local bar. There were quite a few men there and it was a nice enough place. I didn't dress up, turtleneck and jeans, I've put make up on and off we went. Here comes the magic, lol. We were engaged in our conversation, which went from normal to fast paced with lots of laughter and occasional cries (of laughter, lol), cos it's how I normally feel with my friends, both of which are really attractive and gorgeous and just super. I am the overweight one (still haven't ditched the pregnancy weight and being emotionally wrecked after what I've been through with the ex). They, my two friends, kept pointing out men that were staring at me. Firstly, I wasn't paying attention. I'm not feeling confident yet and I felt shy. Lol, I know it's silly, I'm 30, but hey-ho. Anyhow, I finally payed attention and, *gulp*, yup, there they were. Looking, smiling, some staring... :-D Not in a sleazy way. It was just what I needed now, a bit of a boost to my confidence after everything. What woman wouldn't want to feel attractive? In a way, it felt like "cheating", like, it's the oil at work. But, I just wanted to feel that way and to get my mojo back. Ladies, gents; BGOL does work. I'll keep testing it and see what happens, as I'd love to feel good about myself again and this is a great tool to use on the way. Just to add, I normally often (am inclined to say always) laugh and am a genuinely cheerful person, so it's not like I don't meet people on my own. But, this many looks and stares, my friends commenting; not a coincidence as neither knew what I was wearing or that I even purchased it, yet. Scent wise, as many stated, minty rose that settles into a gorgeous musky, total nag champa scent, on my skin and it's divine. Put it on ya, get out of the house and Bob's your uncle! ;-) :-D edit: because the typo monster fiddled with my typing edited again: Can't wait to try it out on a proper night out, with dancing till the wee hours of the morning. I'm so grateful for this blend, I want to share it with everyone that needs it. Thanks labbies! x x x

    Golden Priapus

Pine and juniper with mild vanilla peeking through at first. Makes me think of the winter holidays. As the oil dries and my skin warms it up the vanilla becomes sweeter and the juniper slowly overpowers the pine. After about 2 hours all I can smell is Snake Oil with some sweetness and slight juniper/pine in the background. Will see how it behaves itself on clothes. Fun, but I'm not a pine girl.

    The Sea Foams Milk

The sea! This is very close to the smell of summer vacations spent on the Adriatic. I can imagine slurping through a milkshake after a long swim, and reading through a captivating book in the shade on the beach. Could be my strange sense of smell but there might be a hint of coconut in here somewhere but not prominent in any way just shows itself in the middle stages of the drydown. I need to keep coconuts away from my darling because he's allergic to them so the very smell triggers unhappy thoughts, lol. Bless him. I wasn't sure if I'd like it because salty scents aren't something I enjoy wearing but it was prettier that other salt water BPALs I've tried. My brother, however, liked it lots so I gave it to him and I'll enjoy it from a far.

    The Dormouse

I was pretty sure that the light scent that everyone described would quickly disappear and leave no trace. But I was pleasantly surprised. Tea scents aren't my cup of tea (no pun intended ). Although I love drinking tea, many kinds of it, I was never particularly fond of smelling like one. The Dormouse however is lovely and very wearable in the spring I'd say. At first I can smell some citrus, sharp and bitter, probably bergamot while the tea notes are silent and almost unnoticeable. The first kick is definitely zesty and refreshing and I think my male half would like that as he loves yellow citrus scents in everything from shower gels to tarts. The smell rather quickly softens into a gentle floral on my skin with the sharp notes being left far behind in the background. It really does evoke sitting outside on a lovely spring day in your garden, enjoying a cup of tea and all the glorious scents of spring that tickle your nostrils and make you feel happy to be alive. Simply lovely. Edit: I can't spell before I've had some coffee.
  5. Oh my! Some of those sound SO YUMMY! I have to admit I haven't spotted Shub-Niggurath, Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener, How Doth the Little Crocodile or High-Strung Daisies while I was reading through all the foodie lists and reccomendation threads. High-Strung Daisies sound like they might smell somewhat like Aquolina's Pink Sugar . I'll check the reviews! I've added Jack and Chimera to my wishlist , they both sound scrumptious. Thank you all very much.
  6. My very first BPAL order came in about 5 weeks or so, but it was going to the UK. I'm visiting my parents in Croatia now and have an order of 2 bottles of Cockaigne 1 bottle of Gluttony 1 imp of Eat me 1 imp of Drink me 1 imp of Miskatonic University coming this way. I'm curious, is there a chance it will arrive before April 15? It was ordered on March 10. Only because I might be going back to England soon afters and I'd love to catch my order here. Fanx. Edit: *crosses fingers it's here before April 15 *
  7. Thank you! I'll be checking out the reviews for those too now, hehe! Always open to new yummy ideas .
  8. It's a bit off topic, lol, but since fruity blends can be a bit of a problem for you too can you tell me your favorite foodie GC scent? I've been reading about Cockaigne and Gluttony but also Hellcat and Miskatonic University (for that yummy Irish coffee kick ). Judging by the impressions the two of you gave I think Eat me would suit me better.
  9. Thank you both. I do like foody scents, and I have been reading about those two in particular. Being a newbie I didn't know where to start and I really wanted to learn how those two compare. I'll be taking your input into consideration. Fruity notes don't agree with me well so it was important to know which ones is fruitier. But then again, I don't want to pass a scent just because it has fruity notes because I've been surprised before.
  10. I've read through all the review pages for both Eat Me and Drink Me. (a bit loopy, I know). Only in a few reviews there were passing comments on the other scent and I am still not sure how they compare. Would some of you who had the chance to try both want to elaborate and compare, which one had more throw, which one was more fruity, which one was longer-lasting, sweeter, which one was more cake-y; etc. and any other comparison that comes to mind? Thanks a bunch.
  11. Have you received your order yet? I have a few oils going to Croatia, ordered on March 10, and I'm curious if they might show up before April 15. I was thinking maybe all the European orders take a similar amount of time.
  12. Oh thank you so much you two!!! I was getting worried! You see, I currently can't order for myself and I asked a fellow member who has Paypal to order for me and I thought I was out of luck. Silly me! Thanks a bunch!!!! I'm over the moon excited!!!
  13. Does anyone else have this: It was ordered on the 4th Dec and I suppose the USPS hasn't even picked it up yet. It's the 30th today... :( It was my first order...
