In the bottle: OH SQUEEEE It's strawberry pancakes with whipped cream!!!! (this MIGHT be slightly influenced by the fact that I was in a Village Inn at the time, admittedly)
As it warmed up it kept a bit of sweet red berry goodness, but got warmer and spicier, and lots creamier.
I'll have to try it again to be more specific, but I <3 it in the bottle!!

I've gotta second the Loup Garou reccomendation. To me, Loup Garou is Black Forest on a sunny day.Thirded! Loup is one of my favorite scents - every other woodsy scent is "nice but not Loup" to me! It's very warm, like a sun warmed pine forest.

I'm looking for suggestions for BPAL fraternal twins of these two scents:
Havana by Aramis:
* Top Notes
* Coriander Seed, Anise, BIrch Tar, Juniper Berry, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Orange,
*Middle Notes
* Bay Rum, Cumin, Jamaican Pimento Berry, Pepper, Jasmine, Hyacinth.,
*Base Notes
* Exotic Woods, Tobacco, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Myrhh, Labdanum, Oilbanum, Tonka bean, Vanilla
(Amusingly enough, this would get my boss into BPAL)
Also, for my mom, Pino Silvestre:
* Top Notes
* Bergamot, Lavender, Lemon,
*Middle Notes
* Geranium, Pine, Clary Sage,
*Base Notes
* Cedarwood, Moss, Musk, Amber
When my mom had me smell a sample of that, it reminded me a little of how Cathode dries down on me... I haven't smelled Havana, but my boss was remembering that he received a bottle of it for a gift, loved it, and now can't find it for less than $80!!
Thank you

This really does work almost freakishly well on me- I didn't so much take a nap earlier as lapse into an hour long coma! That was just what I needed, since right now I'm trying my hardest to get more sleep.
I love the smell too- very gentle and comforting. Not quite like an herbal tea, but perhaps how a sleeping potion might smell...

In the bottle: Clean, almost minty pine scent
On (first few minutes): Very bright, pine scent, with the eucalyptus peeking out.
After several minutes + for the next few hours: The scent kept warming up to the smell of a sun-drenched pine forest, and I started falling further in love with it. There's a strange warm undertone to it that reminds me a bit of when my old dog Buck (who had a bit of the wolf in him) would come inside after laying out in the sun in the woods for hours- just the faintest hint of something animal in there in a comforting way.
's beautiful.

In the bottle he was incense and ozone- interesting- lighter than I expected.
On, he started into a dance of dark incenses and subtle smoke- oh yeah, that's what I was looking for...
After about two minutes he turned to happy dancing lemons. I'm confused. I didn't get the citrus at any other point, and I don't even get it now that I'm expecting it.
He's a tricksy one.
