Sniffed in imp: Fresh-heady lily of the valley, with fainter ylang ylang and fruity plum, and a touch faint lily. Also a sort of hint of bitterness I don't recognize.
-
Sniffed in imp: Sweet bubblegum fruit and musk.
-
Sniffed in imp: Almond, sandalwood, musk, and sweet incensey resins.
-
Sniffed in imp: Slightly sweet, natural vanilla and flowers. Heavy on the orchid.
-
Sniffed in imp: Rose, lavender, and sweet-sharp greenery, tinged with absinthe. A very astringent, strong green scent. Wet: More floral, and more greenery - much more airy. More lavender, and still lots of bitter greenery. The blackcurrant note here is the unpleasant urine-y variant. I'd almost swear there is jasmine in this. The ferns smell very sappy, that crushed new greenery smell. Dry: Sharp greenery and public restrooms cleaned with a harsh chemically soap solution. The throw is very strong & very nauseating. Sink. Gah, it won't wash off!

Sniffed in imp: Smoky, sharp and spicy; a little sweet. Vanilla and tobacco dominate - I can barely pick out anything else. Wet: Sweeter, almost syrupy - lots of the white grape and more vanilla, but there's still a lot of the delicious spicy-rich tobacco note. I do get a bit of creaminess from the coconut, but it's very light. Dry: The tobacco really amps, and is the star of this blend (I agree that it's the same note from Black Lace); I'm getting a bit of light oakmoss too which supports the unisex feel, though it's still pretty sweet. A slightly soapy edge, almost? Later: A bit more coconut is starting to emerge, such that I don't have to strain to detect it so much. Otherwise, all the notes are melding together very nicely. For some reason this reminds me of Quincy Morris in feel at this stage, in a good way naturally. Summary: The tobacco just amps and amps, taking on an increasingly dark and smoky feel, almost the the point of bitterness & masculinity. The vanilla holds and merges with the soft coconut, while the wine nearly entirely fades away, and the oakmoss remains faint. Moderate throw & good longevity.

Sniffed in imp: Faint ozone, baby powder. Barely any scent at all.

Sniffed in imp: Dry, woody, a bit sweetly incensey - frankincense. Towards the masculine side, but not definitively so. Wet: Much more pleasant on my skin. Less sweet. Dry: Virtually all sweetness gone. Less incensey but still a bit heavy in that regard, more dry and woody and herbal. The herbs are light and blended indistinguishably. Muskier, now. Later: Dry wood dominates now, with incense just behind. Still a touch sweet, and even muskier. The wood is dry-warm, and falls somewhere between sandalwood and cedar. Summary: A bit of sweetly nutty and very pleasant amaranth emerges, softening the dryness of the elm, though this is still quite woody and the incense holds. Sexy musk, barely detecable herbs. Masculine. Low throw, fades fairly fast. Once the amaranth comes out and the wood ceases to be quite so DRY and musk amps, this becomes a rather pleasant blend that I think I would like on a man (though never on myself) - except for that darn incensey frankincense note, which just persists and spoils the blend for me. Also, where are the herbs? You'd think 9 herbs would make this herbal, but nooooooo. Herbal is not a term that comes remotely to mind in describing this oil.

Sniffed in imp: Wisteria, lavender, and sandalwood. Sharp, powdery, floral.
-
Sniffed in imp: Strong soil, hint of sweet herbs, and dry, acidic red wine.
-
Sniffed in imp: Dirt, fir, air. Very slightly sweet. The air scent is pretty amazing, but I don't like dirt.
-
Sniffed in imp: Piercingly strong cypress and patchouli. Hints of ginger and fig. Masculine.
-
Sniffed in imp: Sandalwood, cedar, lemongrass, and jasmine. Dry, woody floral. Grounding. Wet: Huh. I amp cedar and yet I cannot detect any cedar in this. It's all LEMONY on my skin! Dry: Almost lemongrass single note! Faint florals and patchouli. Not really getting any woods. A plastic note - exactly like a fresh plastic bag. Later: The flowers are emerging more; a nice full rose, and slightly soapy jasmine. The patchouli as well - the sexy, earthy patchouli I like. Plastic amped. Summary: Finally cedar emerges on my skin and takes over as usual. Still, that plastic note is just as strong, followed by lighter rose, soapy jasmine, soft patchouli and bright lemongrass. Strong throw. The plastic thing was terrible. And then bully cedar came along, too. Not a friendly oil...

Sniffed in imp: Jasmine, lily of the valley, amber, and hints of rose and carnation. Strong, heady, warm and womanly floral.
-
Sniffed in imp: Root vegetables dusted with dirt, hints of green and floral. The bitter mimosa and crazy strong myrrh stand out.
-
Sniffed in imp: Sweet, sweet cloying resin, incense, and spice. Clove and myrrh dominate.
-
Sniffed in imp: Sweet and spicy over earthy resin and incense.
-
Sniffed in imp: Very strongly herbal-woody. I can smell each of the signature notes distinctly. Masculine, without a doubt.
-
Sniffed in imp: Powdery, heady lilies. Dusty.
-
Sniffed in imp: Cherry and licorice.
-
Sniffed in imp: Bourbon, sugar, and mint. Sharp, astringent, cloyingly sweet. The mint is harsh and cleaner-like. Amazingly accurate, but um...not a drink I like.
-
Sniffed: Light yellow oil. Dirt, slightly almost bubblegummy (pink) flowers, magnolia. Surprisinly sweet & fruity. Wet: Sweeter, really, this smells like strawberry bubblegum! The dirt note is light and not unpleasant, and the magnolia is subtle but creamy. The bay rum is pleasantly spicy & herbal, and I do get the booziness of the bourbon. Dry: The fruity note is more tart, and has morphed quite a bit - smells more like lemon blossom, now. The soil note has amped, as has the bourbon. The bay rum's still a strong presence. Later: Maybe the citrusy note is the by rum? It combines very nicely with the magnolia. I'm getting the Spanish moss now, which smells musty, like a slightly mildewed basement. Also, that spiciness is from cassia, I'm sure. Summary: Ugh, some iris emerges & the cassia amps, and along with magnolia, soil and bay rum hold down the fort. More distant bourbon and spanish moss. No longer very sweet. Decent throw & longevity.

Sniffed in imp: Almond, WHOA, followed by cinnamon after a few seconds, and faint whisper of something sort of sharp and soapy.
-
Sniffed in imp: Sharp, dark and sweet; heavy on the vetiver and musk, with that slippery leather note.
-
Sniffed in imp: Very powdery floral. Rose.
