This is… Fine. I love all things Snake Oil and if I hadn’t tried Serpents in the Carnations/Lilacs/Poppies, I would love this more, I think. The SO feels much subtler in this blend than the Serpents in the Carnations/Lilacs/Poppies, which may be great for some folks. Instead, I find I’m reaching for the Snake Oil to layer on top of this scent. If you’re NOT a huge SO fan, this might be the floral SO blend for you!

Agreeing with this review! I love all things Snake Oil but this was a bust! The berry felt very medicine-smelling to me and the snake oil disappeared right away. My skin just doesn’t seem to like berries…

A calm and snuggly lavender! A simple scent overall but very nice and a good option for a simple crowd pleaser

Agreed that this is the musk base for Snake Oil! A great musky scent for when I want Snake Oil but don’t want something quite as spicey. Beautiful musk, I’m not getting a strong boozey note, which is good.

A 2005 vintage bottle. Very tobacco-forward, but not very strong. I’m not sure if it’s the age of the oil but the scent is quite light and a bit cloying. Not a huge hit or love, but a cozy night time scent I don’t feel bad slathering on profusely.

Very sweet and musky! The violet seems to curdle a bit with the hotter weather, so I’m interested to see how this develops. Almost has a sweet jasmine rice note to me?

An amazing grapefruit scent! Perfectly balanced sweet and bitter grapefruit with just enough peach in the background to keep it balanced. Longevity isn’t great, the grapefruit fades faster than the peach for me.

A hesitant blind buy. Wet and in the bottle, the lavender is SHARP and overwhelming. Fortunately, it quickly mellows out on skin and the buttery popcorn emerges. The slight lavender stays in the background and the popcorn is just scrumptious. A great surprise for me! Might be even worth a second bottle.

A beautiful green, sweet scent! I agree with folks who say it smells quite cloying and a bit decaying. I love decaying scents but find they are too sharp on my skin, the sweetness of this milk evens it out. I wouldn’t call it a gourmand, but maybe a gourmand-adjacent? If it’s a warmer day I’ll layer with something that has a resin-y note to counteract the sweetness just a bit. Another holy grail for me from the Monster Milk series!

Bright, delicious orange. I was worried this would be too sweet leaning for me, but the bitterness of the pith scent was perfect. Blind buy, and may have to go for another one to hoard.

This scent is SO. GOOD. The lemon peeks through just slightly, but this is mostly a musky patchouli, like incense burning near a barn, but not as alarming. The juniper is pretty muted on my skin, but does become a bit more pronounced with the dry down. I ordered this with other woody/earthy scents, and this one is by far my favorite.

Wow! First to review this in ten years… I got this as a frottle in my latest order. It’s very sharp and metallic in the bottle. The lemongrass note is there on the dry down, but not as sharp as these older reviews. This scent is what I **wish** lemon cleaner smelled like. I don’t know how lemongrass notes work on my skin normally, totally possible this just aged super well! I likely won’t wear this often but seems like a nice summer scent for hosting.

😍 Sweet, creamy goat’s milk and clove. The clove isn’t too sharp so it’s perfect for foodie sweet gourmand lovers as well as more dark gourmand lovers. I think this is my favorite scent ever, I’m obsessed. It lasts forever, but the sweet notes stay longer than the clove on my skin.

Snake oil with condensed milk. This is soooo yummy. I want this scent to be re-released. My only complaint is the milk notes last MUCH longer than the snake oil notes. The milk notes lasted on my skin for upwards of 12 hours so I just layered OG Snake Oil on top to conserve my Snake Milk.

Agreed with the other reviews here—this isn’t a sharp boozy scent but instead quite sweet! Dried down it starts to smell like lemon iced tea on me. I thought this would be a cold weather scent, but I think this might be a scent for hot summer days spent in the shade reading a nice book!
