    Viola

A nice floral. I can smell the roses and the lilies, and every once in a while, the mandarin peeks through. This one reminds me of Ophelia, but not as extreme on the lilies. I'd wear this again, but I don't think it'll be a favorite.

    Snake Oil

Finally I got to try the famous Snake Oil! In the imp: spicy and a little creamy! There's something sharp underneath, though.. Wet: A sharp sort of incense smell. After a few minutes, I can smell the vanilla coming out more. Later: The vanilla eventually surpasses the incense, creating a very sweet scent. I wish I could smell the spices that I smelled in the bottle! I'm not going to give up on this one though, since nearly everyone says it's better aged. I'll tuck it away for a few months and try again later.

    Fairy Market

Delicate and ethereal. I can smell the grass and sugar and flowers. It balances on the edge of being too sweet, but luckily, it never crosses that line. I think it does a wonderful job of capturing essence of the Fairy Market.

    Zephyr

When I first smelled Zephyr, it reminded me of Fae, which is one of my absolute favorite BPAL scents, so I knew I was going to like this one. It's quite lemony at first, but after it dries, it becomes more powdery, which helps keep the lemon scent faint. Very soft and springlike.

    Ophelia

Overwhelmingly floral. The only note I can pick out is the lilies. I love lilies, but this is just too much! I agree with spiralmissy, I wish the notes were more related to Ophelia's little speech at the end.

    Vampire Tears

All I get at first is very bitter grapefruit and a kind of bathroom cleaner smell. Later it fades to a sugary bubblegum floral. Meh.

    Osun

This was a frimp with my first BPAL order, which I received last June or July. I never tried this one because it smelled so funky in the bottle, but today I decided to be adventurous and found out that Osun really really doesn't like me. It smells like nail polish remover on me. Eeek! I don't smell honey or herbs at all.

    Midnight Kiss

Midnight Kiss reminds me very much of Blood Kiss, but without the smokiness present (which was the only thing I didn't like about Blood Kiss.) I was afraid I wouldn't like this one because of the chocolate, but it really blends well with the other notes, so it stays in the background. All in all, I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do! It's quite lovely.

    Marie

I'll be honest, Marie smelled quite odd to me in the bottle. Not floral at all, just something unpleasant. I almost didn't want to try it on, but I knew it would be much different when I actually put it on, plus I love rose and violet. On me, that's exactly what it is: a well blended combination of rose and violet, neither scent overpowering the other. I love it! The only down side is I had to reapply after a few hours, so I'll have to carry this one around with me when I'm wearing it.

    Vice

Definitely chocolate and maraschino cherries in the bottle and when first applied, but after a few minutes, the cherries fade away and the orange takes over completely. I'm wearing this to bed since I didn't think I'd like smelling like chocolate all day, but it turns out that shouldn't have been a concern, because I can't even smell the chocolate anymore! It's just a sweet sugary scent now. We'll see how this fares in the morning... Morning: Yep, still the same sugary smell. At least I wasn't expecting to love this one, so no hard feelings.

I want a BPAL that smells like Bath & Body Works...

Does anyone know of a BPAL scent that's similar to the BBW "Moonlight Path"? Here's what their site says about the notes... • Fragrance Top Notes: Bergamot, Lavender, Mandarin, Coriander • Fragrance Mid Notes: Rose, Jasmine, Violet, Tuberose, Ylang, Lily of the Valley • Fragrance Base Notes: Sandalwood, Vetiver, Oakmoss, Vanilla, Amber, Musk

    Bewitched

In the bottle, all I can smell is the sage and maybe a hint of the green tea. On me, it's all berry and musk... it's a very dark berry scent, which I'm not a big fan of. I find berry scents are all right for a little while, but then I start to get annoyed with them for some reason. Also, the staying power of this one is not great. It started out extremely strong and faded away to almost nothing within an hour. I love the idea of this scent, but alas, it's not for me! Update 10/25/12: Somewhere along the line I must have changed my mind about this one, because I now own a bottle of it. This is actually one of my favorite scents now! Normally I would associate a berry scent with spring or summer but this one is really dark and great for fall or even winter.

    Calico Jack

Sea air, driftwood, waterlogged kelp, and the memory of plundered spices sprayed over worn leathers, rough musk, and the salty wooden floorboards of the Revenge. This is the perfect pirate scent! It definitely reminds me of the ocean. Calico Jack smells very masculine to me, so I may have to get my boyfriend to try it out.

    Yvaine

I looove the sharp lavender scent in the bottle. It smells very similar when wet, but after a few hours, it softened to a very faint scent that reminded me of dryer sheets. I suppose the sharp and then sweet thing is fitting with Yvaine's character, but it's not for me.
