  1. Veil has many of my favorite notes. It starts out a little sharp- the orris, lilac and gardenia are powerful. As it dries, they all calm down and allow the lavender, violet and sandalwood to shine. The combination is soft and wispy.

Many thanks to my Winter Switch Witch for sending me an imp of this marvelous blend. I love it.

  2. I ordered 32 CTs for a decant circle, and will be adding reviews as I do 'em to this post. Any snarky names added are not actual titles from the Lab, just my demented and odd sense of humor while on Ambien.

CCCXXXI (slightly greenish yellow): "Fizzy Happy Drinks, Mixed Drinks as Kiddos." Apple Juice and gingerale.

Ginger? Apple? Some kinda light floral?

This is the first time touching the bottle since Ly decanted. (he sent the bottle to me half full!!) 331 is such an interesting scent. The first thing I detect after I have put it on is butter. It is off-putting and I don't like it (one of the reasons I don't care for a lot of the foody scents). But underneath... there is something luscious. After it dries, I get a gorgeous lush floral. LOVE.

  3. Oh, WOW. Apples!! Very sweet apples. Billions of them. Good thing I love apples.

ETA: But I now remind myself of a candle shop. The apple has turned on me. Bad apple!

  4. I agree that GOP starts out masculine. I don't like what happens after it dries and settles. I can smell vanilla but after a millisecond, the scent turns artificial and off-putting. It reminds me of play doh.

  5. Snow Angel is a beautifully sweet scent. I don't pick up pine but I do get fresh lemon, snow and lots of sugared peach tea. However, I found out the hard way that this is NOT a slathering scent. After five minutes in a closed car, I thought I was going to die. The sweet was overpowering. When it is lightly dabbed, it is gorgeous and playful. Too much is horrifying.

  6. Wet, Villain is primarily lavender. On drydown, the musk comes forward. Someone earlier mentioned this reminding her of Old Spice After Shave. ABSOLUTELY... and it is quite comforting, because when I sniff my wrist, I am once again 4 years old and my dad has just kissed me good night on the forehead.

  7. Aziraphale is a very interesting scent. I detect a light musk... and dusty paper. On drydown, it turns mildly powdery but is still very pleasant. It is like being in the old section of a bookstore. And I am a bibliophile so this is smells like home.

  8. OMG... This fragrance is orgasmic. It dries to a sultry sexy musk with a hint of vanilla. I don't find it masculine... just confidently female. I love it with both my nostrils.

Crowley has just shot up to the Top Ten List.

  9. Urd

Oddly interesting... or is it interestingly odd?

This starts out smelling like mouth watering grapes, tangy, sweet and cool. It quickly turns to grape candy and takes on a weird synthetic smell that has a very sharp edge.

  10. I get the faintest whiff of chocolate but the main thing I smell is orange blossom. There's a weird playdoh-ish scent in the background too. I don't think this fragrance likes me very well. I may try it in a scent locket or as a room scent and see if it does any better for me that way.

  11. Mmmmm... wet this smells like almond. On drydown, it turns into a sultry incense. There's jasmine in the background. Cinnamon too. (and one other something I can't name) I just wish that it lasted longer. It is gorgeous!!
