    Kubla Khan

Through sunlit caves of ice, roses unfurl amidst dancing waves of serpentine opium smoke and amber tobacco, golden sandalwood, champaca, tea leaf, sugared lily, ginger, rich hay absolute, leather, dark vanilla, mandarin, peru balsam, and Moroccan jasmine. I am having such good luck with scents lately. Kubla Khan is no exception. In the imp I can smell jasmine mostly. After it dries, the jasmine calms down and it turns into a smoky incense. It is an exotic heady blend- I think I am in love. Definitely a favorite. (Winter Switch Witch, I LOVE you for allowing me to try this!)

    Mata Hari

Mata Hari and I are friends. I love the soft jasmine and vanilla. There is just the smallest hint of rose. This scent is lovely.

    Hurricane

    Ick. Vetivert is yuck.

    Fae

Mmmmm... musk. Mmmmm... peach. Very pretty. Sparkly, light and airy.

    Veil

Veil has many of my favorite notes. It starts out a little sharp- the orris, lilac and gardenia are powerful. As it dries, they all calm down and allow the lavender, violet and sandalwood to shine. The combination is soft and wispy. Many thanks to my Winter Switch Witch for sending me an imp of this marvelous blend. I love it.

    Urania

Pretty pretty. I pick up jasmine and musk, beautifully balanced. Urania does glitter and sparkle. I like it muchly.

    Black Pearl

Coconut? No. Iris? No idea. Musk? I guess. Maybe a little. Violet? Absolutely. Someone on the first page mentioned Violet candies. Yes yes yes yes yes.

Chaos Theory IV: Edge of Chaos

This is the first time touching the bottle since Ly decanted. (he sent the bottle to me half full!!) 331 is such an interesting scent. The first thing I detect after I have put it on is butter. It is off-putting and I don't like it (one of the reasons I don't care for a lot of the foody scents). But underneath... there is something luscious. After it dries, I get a gorgeous lush floral. LOVE.

    Van Van

I got vanilla from this- a smoky spiced vanilla. It lasts and lasts-- I can smell it 12 hours after initial application. Very nice.

    Vechernyaya

Soft unassuming musk. Perfect for the Evening Star.

    Verdandi

Oh, WOW. Apples!! Very sweet apples. Billions of them. Good thing I love apples. ETA: But I now remind myself of a candle shop. The apple has turned on me. Bad apple!

    GOP

I agree that GOP starts out masculine. I don't like what happens after it dries and settles. I can smell vanilla but after a millisecond, the scent turns artificial and off-putting. It reminds me of play doh.

Goblin of Yuletide Past Atmosphere Spray

Mmmmm... snickerdoodles. Right out of the oven. This stuff is amazing. It lasts and lasts.

    The Queen's Croquet Ground

This room spray is the most realistic rose scent I have ever experienced. The fragrance is of magnificent and heady red roses in full bloom. Amazing.

    Snow Angel

Snow Angel is a beautifully sweet scent. I don't pick up pine but I do get fresh lemon, snow and lots of sugared peach tea. However, I found out the hard way that this is NOT a slathering scent. After five minutes in a closed car, I thought I was going to die. The sweet was overpowering. When it is lightly dabbed, it is gorgeous and playful. Too much is horrifying.

    Villain

Wet, Villain is primarily lavender. On drydown, the musk comes forward. Someone earlier mentioned this reminding her of Old Spice After Shave. ABSOLUTELY... and it is quite comforting, because when I sniff my wrist, I am once again 4 years old and my dad has just kissed me good night on the forehead.

    Viola

I found that Viola is mostly roses on me. I detected lilac while it was wet but that faded pretty quickly. What I was left with was rose and sandalwood. I rather like it.

    Aziraphale

Aziraphale is a very interesting scent. I detect a light musk... and dusty paper. On drydown, it turns mildly powdery but is still very pleasant. It is like being in the old section of a bookstore. And I am a bibliophile so this is smells like home.

    Crowley

OMG... This fragrance is orgasmic. It dries to a sultry sexy musk with a hint of vanilla. I don't find it masculine... just confidently female. I love it with both my nostrils. Crowley has just shot up to the Top Ten List.

    Yggdrasil

This scent changes rapidly. It starts out as a green wood and herbal fragrance and quickly blooms. It turns to a sweet wood, almost floral. I like it.

    Umbra

Wet, Umbra is dark and heavy. It almost has a smoky quality. I smell patchouli and vetiver. Dry: Long lasting... it smells like charred wood and patchouli.

    Wrath

Wow. Wrath is a dangerously smoldering scent. I smell some cinnamon but there is something in here that smells combustible. (and oddly also sort of reminds me of wax lips that I used to buy when I was a kid)

    Urd

Oddly interesting... or is it interestingly odd? This starts out smelling like mouth watering grapes, tangy, sweet and cool. It quickly turns to grape candy and takes on a weird synthetic smell that has a very sharp edge.

    Vice

I get the faintest whiff of chocolate but the main thing I smell is orange blossom. There's a weird playdoh-ish scent in the background too. I don't think this fragrance likes me very well. I may try it in a scent locket or as a room scent and see if it does any better for me that way.

    Uruk

Mmmmm... wet this smells like almond. On drydown, it turns into a sultry incense. There's jasmine in the background. Cinnamon too. (and one other something I can't name) I just wish that it lasted longer. It is gorgeous!!
