  1. Snake Oil is one of my most favourite BPAL scents ever, both fresh and aged.

Pumpkin scents I generally don't wear a lot of - most of them are too foodie for me, and while they are fun, it's not something I normally want to smell of.

However, Snake Oil + Pumpkin is just gorgeous. I can smell that buttery pumpkin note, but the foody-ness is tempered by the sweet spices of the Snake Oil. I can imagine this is going to age magnificently, with the SO becoming more prominent as time goes on, but still that underlying base of pumpkin to round it out.

    This really is fantastic!

  2. I really like this. It is warm & sexy & musky, but at the same time, it's not too heavy. I'm wearing this on a very hot day (it's summer here, and I was keen to test it out on a weekend, even though normally I wouldn't wear musk on a hot day), and yet it doesn't feel smothering or overwhelming. It's just gorgeous.

  3. Hey there all you Hackess spreadsheet users! I've added all the updates from recent months for BPAL, BPTP, and TAL to my own spreadsheet. If anyone would like the updated spreadsheet feel free to PM me and I'll email you the Excel file. That GoogleDoc thing I had going on in my signature is just too damn awkward  I'll try grabbing a forumite and asking how to link the file in my signature like Hackess used to. (If you know how to do this I would love to know how!)

And thank god for Hackess' spreadsheet. I love it and I hope she's back around here soon :thud: I'm happy to keep doing it until then but please give me a prod if I forgot anything :poke:

oh, you are wonderful!! I've been meaning to update the spreadsheet, but just hadn't gotten around to it... so you are a marvel. I will be PMing you for a copy! :wub2:

  4. Hi all, I'm lost without Hackess' awesome spreadsheet! I followed the template she uses and made a spreadsheet of things released by the Lab since her last entry of Bony Moon. The link is below if anyone wants to add the entries to their copy of Hackess' spreadsheet. It looks a little weird since it's up there as a google doc, but if you cut and paste it into regular old Excel it goes into the correct format. Let me know if I forgot something or if it doesn't work! :)

Thankyou so much! I've been meaning to go through and add to Hackess' spreadsheet, but just hadn't had the time - so I really appreciate you doing this, and making it available to the rest of us! :)

  5. MeiLin's question got me thinking...

Do people still want the spreadsheet maintained, or are the majority of you moving to the Stash Manager exclusively?

Another late reply - but hackess, I adore your spreadsheet!! I hope you will keep maintaining it - it's been an amazing tool for me, and I can't see myself replacing it with an online manager any time soon!

  6. A lighthearted winter scent: chilly vanilla rose snowballs! Dainty, soft, and certainly unfit for flinging!

As so many other people have said, this is a rosier version of Snow White. It is absolutely beautiful - I love Snow White already, but adding in some rose has made it absolutely divine. I'm so glad I got a bottle of this!

  7. Spreadsheet updated with the Tales of Death and Dementia, and the Chakras have had their discontinuation date marked.
Your spreadsheet is seriously awesome! :wub2:
BIG UPDATE TO PERFOOM!1) By user request, you can now track your imps as well as your bottles.2) You can now see other people's lists! Easy access to other users' bottle, imp, favorite, disliked and, best of all, wishlist! Check it out.
This looks really cool - I might sign up!!

  8. For christmas, I wore Midwinters Eve (2007), as it's one of my favourite holiday scents.

New Years Eve, I wore Ho Ho Ho as I was generously gifted with a decant of it this week (quite unexpectedly!), and it smelt soo wonderful - it seemed perfect to wear to bring in the new year :P

  9. This is slightly offtopic, though still related to masculine scents - I'm not sure if this has been answered elsewhere, I've only had a quick skim, but... where do guys actually apply Bpal? I mean, I wear mine on my wrists, neck and behind my ears... do guys apply it in similar places?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I have no idea! :P

  10. A memory of pleasure passed. A ghostly rendezvous, delight beyond death. Faint echoes of laughter and the distorted music of a harp drift by, along with the scent of soft white pear and sweet vanilla.

This is nothing like I expected, but it is very beautiful and fruity - definitely pear, not so much vanilla, and somehow, I get a hint of strawberry in it's scent, though that's not listed as one of the ingredients. It smells candy-ish, but not sugary - just very fruity & sweet like fruit juice. I really like it, so glad I brought a bottle! :P

  11. Very sweet and edible - I want to lick my arm off!! It smells like strawberry cheesecake, with a hint of vanilla. In the bottle, it's very cherry-ish and syrupy, but once on, it settles to become a really yummy, sweet blend. It's probably a bit too foody to be a favourite scent of mine (although I do love strawberry & cherry scents, but the vanilla gives it more of a "cake" smell), but it really is a fun scent to wear.

  12. I just received Midnight Kiss as a frimp from the lab (:P) - my boyfriend placed an order for a bottle of it for me a couple of weeks ago, and I'm so glad he did (think I need to get backup bottles actually!) -- this is GORGEOUS. "Red musk" is how I can think to decribe it - it is smokey and full-bodied, a hint of red wine and sandalwood. I am in absolute love with it - definitely one of my all-time favourite BPAL scents.
