A dear friend was kind enough to pick me up a bottle at ComicCon and it arrived today Okay... I will preface this review by saying that I've currently got a migraine and that makes smellie things difficult to tolerate at times so this may have to be revised at a later wearing. Despite said migraine, I HAD to try this immediately (thanks to all the drama hype surrounding this scent. On me... its really doesn't smell at all like apples. Its actually a very light floral scent. Extremely feminine and soft. I don't get the cold/ozone/metalic that others have mentioned and there's not the granny smith tartness. Its very subtle, very nice, but not the greatest scent Beth has ever created. I like it. I will wear it, but I don't feel the need to rush out and try to get another bottle tomorrow when these go back up because unless this changes dramatically post migraine, I don't see this getting a lot of wear in my world. It is VERY nice, but there are so many scents that I like better. Oh... and Stellans, if you read this... absolutely no mint.

I don't think this will be much help since they're all LEs but... The Unheavenly City (C13) Door 13 (Bat's Day LE) Banded Sea Snake from CD Selkie Allison Gross and I don't know how truly aquatic it is but... Tamamo-No-Mae is fabulous I tried Thalassa and it was not a winner for me... I blame the jasmine which usually hates me... On the GC side I do like Kumari Kandam and I've got it on my next GC bottle purchase list

I wore TAL Road Opener to my last interview and basically was offered my dream job. I went in to interview for a position as the high school swim coach. I already had a job as a pre-k teacher for the following year so this would be around the "normal" school hours (we're a fairly small district so I wouldn't be the first elementary person to take a "2nd job" coaching at the middle or high school level) However, when I walked in the principal informed me that she had - 20 minutes ago!!!! - gotten an opening for 5 sections of Spanish I (thats one section short of a full load which fits perfectly with the Swimming Athletics class the coach teaches) and basically, she interviewed me and offered me the position on the spot.

Okay... I NEED to go to sleep but I HAD to review this before I do... When I first put this on, I smelled... NOTHING! Seriously... you could not smell ANYTHING. I even asked the DH for a second opinion and HE couldn't smell anything. Then... slowly... this started to warm up and BAM! SEX! Seriously... this is everything that I hoped O, Snake Oil, Anne Bonny and all the other forumite favorite sexy girl scents would be but all of those smell like ass on me and this... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm The closest comparison I can make is to Chimera... it has that spicy bite to it but there is a wonderful creamy vanilla under it that keeps it soft (and has the added effect of making me want to lick my wrists... which I've tried and, like vanilla extract... it doesn't taste like it smells!) Other than "spice" and vanilla, the notes are hard to decipher NOTHING (not even the vanilla) stands out or screams "HELLO!"... everything is in perfect balance... well blended. Also, other than the 15 minutes of NOTHING, this hasn't changed much since my initial application, or I guess I should say since it initally showed up Finally, it doesn't have a lot of throw... its definitely one that s/he'll notice as s/he leans in to nibble on your neck (and one of those blends that will INSURE that nibbling does occur!!), but not something that a stranger standing at an "appropriate" distance is going to necessarily catch on to. I REALLY wish that CD would make a permanent stop a la Arkham... there are just too too too many beautiful scents and not enough time and money to purchase them all in the quantity that my obsession demands. (Beth... I hope you're reading this!!!! )

This smells like a really REALLY nice new purse... its literally perfumed leather Leather that's been handled - lovingly - by men and women who don only the best scents, lotions, soaps, etc. VERY gender-neutral... I love this and its quite feminine... of a sort... on me... but I also want to douse the husband in it (and then proceed to do VERY unladylike things to him which have nothing to do with "shrunken heads" at all ...) In fact... that may be my evenings entertainment... thanks, Beth, for another great aphrodisiac... uh... I mean scent!! DAMN... I was going to end there... and go to work... but I CANNOT STOP SNIFFING MY WRISTS...

Must Hoard This Scent!!!!! HippieStink+Pepper+Pomegranate = I was terrified of this at first since most things rose do not agree with me in any way shape or form (love the smell of fresh green roses but any attempt at creating the rose smell, even by Beth's Brilliance, is usually a chemistry catastrophe for me... even Rose Red turns nasty when she hits my skin) but I get no rose in this at all... and it's perfect

OMG!!!!!!! I NEEEEEEEEEDDDDDD A BOTTLE OF THIS!!!!! This is my new favorite scent. It's very feminine without being girly... a light aquatic floral that has just a tinge of sexy, spicey to it... I wore this for the day but it could easily be a sexy night out perfume. It definately does have that metallic tang but in a delicate way.... it's like smelling filigree and floral. I'm heading off to sell my soul for a bottle now... if anyone knows anyone looking for an extra soul, you now know my price!!!!

this turns from a nice woodsy smelling scent to soap almost the instant that it hits my skin

Damn GypsyRoseRed and her generous sniffing circle!!!! If not for her I never would have tried this and this would have never fallen in love. I know from earlier posts that this has gardenia in it... but to me (possibly because I've never smelled (or even seen) a gardenia), I get a wonderful rose scent... the fresh rose of Rose Red not a rose scent as most perfumes have (I loathe rose scent becuase I don't think it smells anything like rose flowers) There's also a lot of spice in this... I smell dragon's blood and possibly just a touch of musk. It reminds me of a creamy floral version of Wildfire. I think I'm going to have to sell my soul for a bottle

This is a great blend for people who WANT to love Snake Oil... but just can't. This is all that I wanted Snake Oil to be - spicy, creamy vanilla, and just warm and sexy... This reminds me of hot nights on a bayou or somewhere on a deserted coast... drinking mojitos to the sound of some local band playing softly in the distance almost drowned out by the sound of the night... sitting up late... sweating from the heat of the evening... and the heat of the passion between you and the one you're with... I absolutely love this one... its not so over powering that you can't wear it for that extra boost of confidence during the day... but it's not tame and could easily step out at night. I need a gallon of this one!

I love spice and I'm a fan of Mme. Moriarty, Perversion (which I don't think lists spices in it but definately has a spicy/sexiness to it - one of my sig scents), Chimera (another sig. scent), and of the snake blends my faves are Banded Sea Snake and Green Tree Viper. Although, now that I think of it.. I think Saw Scaled Viper was the one which smelled exactly like Chimera on me so that one might be too much for you as well... but as you know with BPALs YMMV so it might be worth a try... it does have a sweeter side so it could be less spicy on you than Saw Scaled. Other good spices... I like Enranged Orang. Musk (no idea what's in it) but it smells nice on dry down... OH!! And The Black Tower... spicey with wine... makes a very nice combo on me and one I wouldn't have picked out for myself (got it in a swap)

I was gifted with a sniffie of this (and 3 other blends) by an incredibly generous forumite When I opened it to sniff, I was really turned off... perhaps it was the jasmine that everyone is talking about, I don't know... but my reaction was Blech!!!! However... something made me smear a very tiny bit on my wrist and I am in love... Soft, sophisticated, light floral... romantic, etherial beauty... I seriously wish I could get more of this... it's the best floral blend I've ever found and florals are usually not my thing... I even smell a bit of the green roses from Rose Red in there somewhere... and I love the smell of "real" roses but other than Rose Red have never found a rose blend that I can stomach becuase they all smell fake... This smells like a bridal boquet... and I am in love *le sigh* and broken hearted that I don't have any more...

On me... this smells EXACTLY like Chimera. If I didn't know which imp I'd applied from, I'd swear I was wearing Chimera today. Luckily, I like chimera... but as it's much cheaper (and already in my hoarde) I'm sticking to that one and passing on this one... becuase well... if there's no difference, might as well stick with the cheaper version that's already a part of my collection.

This smells like fake plastic dollar store roses. I had high hopes for it, even though I'm not a rose fan, becuase I thought with opium poppy, pachouli leaf, honey, etc. it might not be the straight up rose scent that I'm not a fan of. Basically, I was hoping for the fresh cut rose of Rose Red with a touch of spice... what I got, was single note Tea Rose... which smells to me like the fake plastic roses that you buy at the dollar store... I'm wondering if it will "age" and the other notes will come out more??? (I don't understand which notes age and which dont) Also... it has ridiculous staying power... I applied it LIGHTLY at about 6am and I still smell it STRONGLY all over me at 10:30

I am inpressed. That was a better description than we could come up with. You forgot to mention that I will be wearing a pink boa tonight! but the REAL question is... will you be wearing anything ELSE or JUST a Pink Boa???? that would be worth a plane ticket to see...

OMG... I'm jealous of you who get the pepper... on me... this is a slightly spicy honeysuckle... very nice and I'll definately be wearing this one A LOT... (which is strange as it's not my sign) but I was hoping for more ginger ah well... the search for the perfect ginger goes on...

This is very musky on me... and not in a "mmmm sexy, musk" way... more like in an "oh wow, musk ox!" way after 30 minutes or so the musk dies down and the honey comes out and then it's very soft and sweet and lovely... very sensual, sexy and sweet... I want to lick my arm to get the taste of it but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't taste very good I'm not sure if I want to keep this for the swoon worthy scent I get now or swap it for the musk ox scent I get in the beginning

being in the 7th page of reviews, I don't have much original to add - it's very light, crisp, and beautiful... lemony ginger... I don't get much tea except in the bottle. As others have said, it fades very quickly. I tried it in my scent locket and it didnt seem to help it's staying power This was part of a switch witch gift and my witch picked the perfect scent for me (I'd never tried it and she sent a 5mL... ) I'm glad I have a lot of it becasue I've been slathering it on every day since it arrived!!! Beth, if you can create something similar with more ginger bite and more staying power you will officially have taken over my checking account

Okay... I have been seriously dreading work lately - ready for the holidays I guess - but I thought that since this is a short week (I'm working today and tomorrow then going on vacation until January) I'd apply some Determination. I'm still not terribly focused on work, but am suddenly quite determined to get back on the diet and exercise wagon (which is a good thing as I have "recently" gained like 10-20 pounds and none of my clothes fit correctly anymore...) I think the smell is wonderful... am seriously considering buying a big bottle of this as I would wear it as perfume regularly... I admit, it's kind of nasty in the imp, but on the skin it's sweet, resinous, and has a nice faint lemony undertone - sort of the smell of a Lemon Drop - which makes me feel happy and light...

In the bottle, this smells DIVINE... dark and sultry... sexy... powerful... exactly what you'd want the Great Sword of War to smell like... for the first 30 minutes, I could not stop sniffing my wrists (which made getting dressed and eating breakfast quite interesting...) then... suddenly and without warning... my perfume turned into Blood Amber... seriously... I smell exactly like I'm wearing Blood Amber... which I like but does NOT go with my mood for the day... luckily it smells nice under a liberal spraying of Perversion...

I recieved this as a Frimp in a Dark Moon decant circle. I didn't remember reading about the scent at all and as such, had no idea what it was supposed to smell like. So... I tried it on. At first... it smelled like my father. I swear, it smelled so much like a cologne he used to wear that it made me want to cry. I put this on and it was my father getting dressed to take me out to dinner. This scent is a mans man who's going out for a nice fat steak dinner... and then... where ever the night takes him. Its the scent the Marlbro Man wears when he cleans up for a date. So... finding this both comforting (becuase of the memories of my father) and sexy (because, well, its so incredibly manly...) I immediately attacked my husband (who was incredibly good natured about the whole thing considering he told me LONG ago that he was done with the smelly thing... just keep ordering him Wilde and leave him alone with the "testers") And... ... it smells the same on him... My husband is now officially the sexiest man on the planet... and I'm going to stop writing this now and go attack my hubby

I'm a believer in the power of Perversion!! Desire, Old Scratch, Wanda, and Chimera also have gotten hot and sweaty results.

I agree with everyone else's violet soap comparisons... which is nice... except it appears that I'm horribly allergic to violet soap... I put this on and got about 4 sniffs in when I went into the most awful sneezing fit EVER... and then promptly drug myself into the bathroom to wash it off and cover up what was left with something else. Nice scent, tho not particularly chilly IMHO, but definately not for me...
