  1. Glasgow is the perfect blend of a heather field with blackberry bushes to the sides. As you step into the field, you can smell the blackberries kissing the wind as it wafts over the heather. *Sigh* I am in heaven.

  2. It smelled so sweet in the bottle and the description was making me hope that the patchouli would be ok. Alas, I am on the bad side of the patchouli. I got an immediate headache. Maybe I will learn to keep patchouli at bay.

  3. Blood Rose is a sex kitten's dream as my friend puts it. She is recently divorced and actively looking for fun. I let her borrow it when we went to the club. Needless to say, I left on my own. I ended up giving it to her. She said that it was more needed to her than me.

My favorite is Masquerade. Or should I say my husband's favorite. If I want a great night. I am headed to a Masquerade. Ok, bad pun - if you can call it that. But, it works for me.

Happy Anniversary Kimmers! Hope it's not too late.

  4. I have been waiting for this to come in. Sleep troubled I am. It has a lavender scent that doesn't come on too strong. I placed it on my pillow and slept like a baby. Three nights in a row now, I have awoke without the desire to go back to sleep.

  5. Sacred Whore of Babylon was very strong at first. A floral scent that I can't seem to pick out. I think a wild rose. The rose stays for a while and then it dries down to a creamy vanilla sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. This is going to be a great scent to wear to the clubs. Strong for dancing and then dying down to a relaxing scent for crash and burn sleep.

    ADDED Feb. 4:

This is the second time that I have tried Sacred Whore. I was very unsure the first time and still not too sure. I like the fact that it stays for a long time, but the sweetness and floral. I just dont' know. I'd like to give it a third try. I will update later.

  6. I ordered this and then was unsure because it has cassia in it. I am feeling very happy today. The cassia doesn't come through on me. I smell dark chocolate. Like a chocolate liquor. I am pretty sure that is the red wine coming through. This scent is definitely going to be a hit for Valentine's Day. I will not only taste the magnificent chocolates that day, but I can smell like them too.

  7. La Bella Donna Della Mia Mente is a soft floral on me. I can pick out the myrtle, rose and peach. I'm not sure how a pomegranate smells, so that's not one of the scents that I pick out.

When I first smelled it in the bottle, it was exactly as I expected. Like the smell of the soft sweet dew on a summer morning.

As it dried, the dew scent drifted away and left a soft floral rose with a background scent of myrtle and peach.

I will be purchasing a few 5mls of this one.

    :P

  8. This was not a scent for me. It was too strong. I wish I could say that it alleviated depression, but as soon as I put it on I was in the bathroom washing it off. My mother-in-law loved it and I gave it to her. I hope she enjoys it and receives some good luck too.

  9. Thank you to SoapyRN! She sent this to me as a Christmas present and it has quickly become one of my favorites. It is very strong in the bottle and when I first put it on. Then it dries to this lovely floral scent. I'm guessing as others it is the orchid. I don't remember ever smelling the actual flower, but if this is it I'm in love. This is the scent I put into my secret compartment necklace and I have gotten several good comments. Although, I have learned not to put on too much. That can give me a headache. Long lasting this will be!

  10. A piercing, radiant perfume: dragon's blood resin, lily of the valley, lilac and galbanum.

I swapped for this one. Mostly because I hadn't purchased an Ars Draconus scent. I like the freshness of the scent, but it was more of a house scent to me. This is one that I have to say was too much Lily of the Valley for me.

I have made melting waxes from this scent and they diluted the Lily of the Valley enough to make the house smell fresh and clean.

  11. This was a freebie for me and I am still at odds with it. It is a very heavy rose. I love roses and it doesn't smell bad on me, just a little dark.

I am saving this one for a club night. I will know more after then. If it holds up, I will be a definite fan. I don't have many scents that will hold up to club night.

  12. I thought for sure that I had reviewed this, but I can't find one. I am reviewing my notes and placing reviews and updates to those reviewed if I felt differently.

Old Morocco was the very first scent that I ever received. SoapyRN sent it to me for my 30th bday this year. I instantly fell in love.

The Arabian spice, warm musk and red sandalwood were the scents that I could pick out, but that's probably because I didn't really know what cassia smelled like. I didn't smell carnation.

I haven't bought a 5ml of this, but I plan to after the first of the year.

  13. Like a puffed and reckless libertine,

Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads.

That is why I purchased Libertine. It just made me feel like romance would be in the air. I am glad that I was right. The bergamot hit me first and then the rosewood and chamomile. I didn't smell the violet too much, which was fine.

I just think that this is a wonderfully blended smell.
