  1. when smelling this, all I'm thinking of is just how well this will age. You can smell it wanting to get all sexy on your arm. It's red musk, and clove, and orchid. The vanilla isn't too apparent, but I know it will show it's pretty face in about 6 months. This is Grindhouse, without the mimosa. I can't wait until until this smooths out and becomes teh sex and stuff.

  2. Daya is truly a golden scent. It's very full, warm, and with a sweet touch of either sandalwood or amber. I can smell a light touch of something fruity underneath. I am not sure what it is. It could be plum (as cinderfallen has noted). I do detect a similar plum as to the plum found in Hellion. There's also spices floating around. I adore this, and will use my imp sparingly!

  3. oh yes om nom nom nom!

This is a yummy custard cake with pinapple rings on top. Tart, and sweet. Just like everyone else pointed out, there's a cherry on top of the cake as well. It doesn't morph much, but it lasts quite awhile. It's also giving me the munchies. Smells really yummy!!! It's funny because foodies and I usually do not get along, however, I'd give this foodie a chance! :D

  4. Once applied, I get a sharp herbal scent with the sweetness of apple peels. It's not very juicy, and it's actually a bit manly! The amber isn't too sweet, the apple is a bit dry, and the herbs are sharp. It's nice, but not for me.

  5. Once applied, it's green, without being "grassy". It's got that salty sweet quality to it. For some reason, I get a floral note floating around, making it sharp. It almost wants to go out of control, however it's being held in check by the salty air. No wine really.. just sea air, and sweet green tree's and ferns. It's not really me, but it's evocative of an island paradise, so I'll keep this baby around when I want to imagine a vacation.

  6. Yum!!! This is great!

Apples with spices, mellowed out with the creamy note. I am happy that the milk note is not too milky at all. Also, I am generally a foodie hater, so I would count this as an exception as it's not too foodie at all. This reminds me of Samhain, but a touch creamier, and a bit softer.

As it dries, it fades a little, but it's still lovely and it retains that creamy spicy apple quality.

  7. Thank you bheansidhe for passing this beauty on to me!

I love love love this!!! Spicy warm musk with a touch of orange all swirled together to provide you with the experience of drinking a nice warm cup of tea in front of the fire. It's as simple as that, but what I get wafting towards me makes me want to cross my eyes and melt. The amber isn't powdery at all. It's more of a foundation to bring all the notes together and sweeten them up. I'm going to need more, I already know it!

  8. I'm usually not one for aquatics, greens, or florals, but since this has a base of SO I decided to give it a shot. I am sooo happy to have found my bottle because I am in teh love! It's not green at all, its got a subtle salty breeze quality floating around the sweetness of SO. It's the perfect combination of spices, sweetness, and earthy salty air. It isn't too potent, but at the same time it doesn't fade to quickly. It's soft, and just beautiful! :thud: I will need more of this one!!

  9. I've noticed that pomegranate flavors and notes contain this bite of something bitter and cool. Almost like a menthol hidden deep and away. Once applied, I get a big gush of sugar sweet juicy pomegranate (with the cool note underneath). It stays true as it dries down, not too boozy (thank goodness! Booze notes are scary on me.) It's more of sweet juicy fruit juicy pomegranate, and it is very potent! I also pick up a slight floral note in this, but nothing to worry over. I only realized it was there because someone else said that they smelled it as well. When I want to feel cute, I will grab my imp of Swank!!

  10. In the bottle: It smells like Samhain minus the strong top note, and softened just a bit by a sweet watery note. Keep in mind it's a sweet watery note, not very ozoney at all (wewt!)

Wet: It's not so much "rain" as it is just a sweet watery incense over autumn air.

As it dries down: the watery note morphs into this almost minty sweety note over resins. I am in love with FLM! This is the best of the year for me :D

  11. Mmm I love me some Knock-a-dolly!! First of all, it smells different than my bottle of Samhain room spray, but thats ok with me because I love this one just as much!! The first sniff after I spray is very autumn in a bottle. It's leafy but spicy at the same time. Once it's settled down, the sugar is more apparent. No apples, but there's a fruity sweetness peeking through. It's very very yummy, and I love this as much as my Samhain room spray, even though it's just a bit different.

Just a funny little side note: my bottle of Knock-a-dolly was blessed by the lovely Lilith Victoria at Will Call. She pulled it out of my bag and nommed on the cap for me. Thanks sweetie!!

  12. I spied this bottle at will call tonight and couldn't resist slathering a healthy dollop on my arm so that I can get the full effect! Upon application, it was actually very light. It smelled nice wet, but not "OMG YES!" good. Once it dried down though, that's when it opened up and bloomed! It's ambery, but without going powdery. It's not bubblegummy at all either. It's a sweet lick of lily touched by the warmth of amber and maybe some other musks. I'd love a bottle of this!

  13. I received this as a frimp in a recent swap.

I'm really confused with this one. I don't know if I love it, or if it's too sour for me :umm:

I think that I don't like it. At first, when I sniffed it, I said "ohhh this is good!! Dark and scary. Kinda manly, sourly sweet, and smokey... but overall it's scary!" and then I kept sniffing it and I said "maybe it's a bit too scary..." So now I get it. It's totally Mr. Edward Hyde.

I can't pick the notes out, but it's a complex and smokey mans blend. I like it, and I hate it at the same time.

  14. I received a frimp of this in a recent swap.

First of all, I totally thought that Tiki Queen and I wouldn't get along. I didn't order it when it came out, cause I am usually a dark scary scent type of gal. But this? This is so good!!

Once applied, I get thick and fruity waft with bits of Hawaiian florals stuffed in it.

Once it dries down, I am getting a sharper floral, however it is tempered down by a certain candy sweet floral note(thank goodness). If it weren't for that candy sweet flower poking around, I probably wouldn't like this as much as I do. I wonder if it's the hibiscus? I know it's not the tuberose! Tuberose and I don't really like each other.

Overall, I'm actually enjoying this one!! I wouldn't swing for a bottle, but I will treasure my decant!! :D

  15. In the bottle: dark sweet patchouli

Once applied to the skin: a blast of coconut!

Dried down: the perfect dirty patchouli/coconut blend.

Fantastic!! If you are a fan of patchouli, this is one to get!! It isn't too coconutty at all. I do not enjoy foody blends really, and this works perfectly! It's very dark, but with the right touch of milky fruit meat to liven things up! Glad I got my bottle, and I can't wait to see how this will age!! :D

  16. A dreamlike, listless scent, misty and hazed, with wisps of white sandalwood, eddying musks the colors of eventide, shimmering pale resins, davana, lemon blossom, orange blossom, and white peach.

This is a very strong and clean scent. Unfortunately, I amp orange blossom like crazy. Also.. orange blossom and I do not get along very well. It really is lovely! Very clean musk, with a touch of fruityness wafting around. It's just that dern orange blossom that kills it for me. Of to swaps you go!

  17. This is the darkest most fearful melon that I've ever had the opportunity to sniff!! It's melon (as in the melon found in cucumber melon) mixed with fear and tobacco! I'm not getting any juniper (or gin for that matter) but I do detect the chili powder (as I have the nose tickle sensation when I huff it, as if I wanted to sneeze ) The honey is probably there, but the melon is such a sweet fruit that I can easily blend in with it. Overall, I really love this one!! It's fresh and dewy and hardcore at the same time! Winner!

  18. I was sorting through all my decants, having an impromptu bpal orgy, when I came upon this lurker. I clearly remember when I first sniffed it. I said "bah!" and put her back in the corner of the box and told her that she couldn't come back out until she behaved herself. I think she's learned her lesson!!

Holy COW this is amazing!! In just these few short months (about 6?) she's blooming like a beautiful flower!!

Once applied, I'm getting a host of lovely notes. The forerunners being clovey tobacco, and a bit of teak. The patchouli is hovering around making it just a bit resinous, but not over crowding the scene. It is indeed very very sexy, and I do believe that this is now going to go on my wishlist. I need a bottle!! I bet this will just keep getting better and better. I hope that the patchouli thickens up!

about an hour later - it's dried down into a sexy blend of clove, teak, and just a touch of sweet patchouli.

  19. Wow! I am impressed!!

Usually I am partial to dragons blood, and myrrh usually turns acrid on my skin... but not in Blood!!

The dragons blood is on top, but it is tempered down by the clove, making it spicy instead of that sickly cloying scent that I usually associate with DB. The cherry then sweetens it up just a bit, but not overly so. It isn't a cherry lolly at all. The myrrh is only present in the form of incensy smoke, so it's not sending me running away... yet.

As it dries down though, that nice cherry fades, leaving behind smoky sweet dragons blood. The clove is barely there. I love it in it's wet stages best. Dry, its traditional Dragons Blood and Myrrh :ugh:

  20. This is a lovely lavender scent. It's a brand new fresh imp, so I bet it will age gorgeously! It starts out all lavender, then as it dries down, it grows sweeter and softer, and blossoms into one of the most loveliest blends I've tried in a very long time. I do believe that this is more unisexual than masculine, as the tonka sweetens it up just a bit. I do hope that the patchouli pops out more, so I'll throw this in the back of my box and let it age and then see what it will do for me later ;)

  21. This is such a pretty slightly fruity incense blend. Not too fruity though, which is perfect because sometimes the fruit can be a little food foodie for me. It's almost just the natural sugar juice from the fruit used to soften the poppy which presents itself as the floral in the highground. The sage is lovely too. It's not too powerful at all, it's just making things a little bit herbal. The amber is the dominate but underneath it all, almost holding it up.

    'ees purdy ^_^

    eta: spelled "too" wrong...

  22. On first application, it's incense and honey! If I huff my arm, I can pick up the florals (which just registers as a "sharpness")

As it dries down, it keeps that musky honey incense note, and keeps it going strong! I really like this a lot. It's not too sweet, and not too myrrhish, which makes it just perfect for me!!

  23. This is a lovely aquatic. When it's wet, it almost has a sweet fruitness about it, but then as it dries down, the jasmine comes out to play. It isn't to complex. Just a lovely watery jasmine with a touch of pine. Not bottle worthy, but it is worth keeping the imp to wear when it's hotter than six shades of hell outside!

  24. Once applied, it's rosey lemongrass. The jasmine is also there, but all it's doing is sharpening up the rose. The oil looks dark, and promises resins, however I am not getting any of the lovelyness that is sandalwood patchouli. I know it's there, and it's making the other notes a bit smokey, especially as it dries down, however it's mostly the lemongrass rose that I'm picking up.

It's very nice though! It kind of reminds of of spa candles.
