I saw someone say Dahlia had a similar vibe in the reviews but I found it quite a bit sweeter. Worth trying though because it's great!
-
This is quite lovely. Soft peach, a bit of buttery cake & a hint of almond. Sweet but no identifiable honey to my nose.
-
I don't care for rum as a perfume note & since I found this to be super boozy at the outset, this wasn't for me. Though the drydown is quite nice, I'm not willing to wait for it. I prefer Snake Oil Hot Toddy when it comes to Snake Oil + booze variants.

I remember trying the original perfume & it didn't really thrill me. It was powdery on my skin & a bit cloying. However, I am really enjoying the hair gloss. It's lovely & creamy with a hint of spice which is probably the teak. I also get a tiny bit of almond. There's not a huge throw but that's fine for wearing to work. I wasn't expecting to like this so much & now I need more!

Fougere unknown #
Described to me as "Lavender, sweets & moss", which is pretty accurate. I'd also add a bit of stone & perhaps a small amount of lime in the wet phase. Low throw but very pleasant.
-
Some scorched wood at first, then incense & a bit of stone. Incense lovers rejoice! No dirt or corpse-y notes.
-
This starts out citrusy with a hint of green leaves but then becomes sort of creamy with a fruit note (maybe mango?). I'm not noticing any overt floral - perhaps some magnolia is propping up that creamy note, though. It's lovely & will be getting a lot of use in summertime.

This is another great gentleman's study type of atmosphere: strong leather, woods & whiskey. I get tobacco rather than cigar smoke & the overall vibe is warm & attractive. It would make a great personal scent whether a beard oil or perfume. I'm going to spray my husband's jacket with it.

I didn’t remember what the notes were for this & my first impressions were of red musk & cotton candy. Then it reminded me of Snake Oil Sufganiyot, so I'm getting the Snake Oil but not any noticeable Dorian (must be what I'm reading as cotton candy). The muddy shovel is also MIA. It's not what I was expecting but I really like it & will probably get a full size!

This is a great dark berry HG with a witchy vibe. The slight bitterness is a reminder that belladonna is poisonous, and not all flowers are merely pretty & harmless (hello there, Rappaccini's Garden).
-
This a very nice unisex fougere. I mostly get the fir & lichen/moss but overall it's foresty, crisp & sweet with a long wear length.
-
Rather than fur & brown notes, I find this pleasantly foresty. A place of golden sunlit evergreens rather than cold snowy pine, though. It reminds me of summertime hiking. I like to pair it with the new supersweet Dorian HG to balance out the sugar.

This is hella sexy - so much so that I don't feel comfortable wearing it to work.
Great otherwise!

I wore this all winter long.To me, it's the perfect blend of spice & sweetness. I don't care for smoke but didn't find it overly smokey - the note complements the spices. I had a decant first & liked it so much that I quickly upgraded to a bottle.
-
Warm, cuddly & spicy (clove, thanks to the bay rum). The patch is present but not overpowering. Definite similarities to Time is a Phoenix & There is No Bliss Like This.
-
My impression is of a sultry floral with all the notes smoothly blending together. I was hoping the blood orange would be more prominent but it's nice as is.

A couple others from the permanent collection might be worth seeking:
Blythe Hollow from ParaNorman (Dead leaves and cold, moist breezes set at the edge of a forest of maple, pine, cedar, and cypress)
Dawn: Cernunnos (Terebinth pine, basil, green sandalwood, fig leaf, armoise, lemon balm, cypress, myrrh, black cedar, and juniper)
-
It's more candyfloss than marshmallow on me & I'm getting a definite 'pink' note which I'm reading as strawberry with a smidgen of rose. I like it!
-
I bought a bottle unsniffed as I was so sure this would be great on me since I love sandalwood & pumpkin (with or without spice) but my skin turned this into wet paint, dank & industrial.
(2021 version) I was too afraid to try the 2022 one but perhaps I should as it seems to be different.
-
I get quite a bit of pear & a little fig when first applied but that fades quickly & then it's all about the spiced honey cake. Other than clove, there are no spices listed but I'm picking out ginger, clove & maybe some nutmeg & pepper. This scent has low throw on me but lasts a long time (applied in early evening & could still find it this morning).
-
Sweet & smokey with some leaves in the background. Since I'm in an area that gets a lot of wildfire smoke in the summer time, I was a bit skeptical that I would want to use something smokey but since it's not at all acrid or bitter, I quite enjoy it in cool weather.
-
Ooh, this has aged nicely! It was always incensey with a bit of cedar but now the deep musk is more pronounced & there's a cola note, too (opopponax?). Sexy, slightly sinister cologne.
The original Lurid Library never smelled like books to me; it was more the atmosphere of an occult library than the contents. I'm attributing the additional woodiness here to the dried vines of the pumpkin patch but I don't get a pumpkin note as such. It's great as is!
-
This is a head scratcher - my skin is turning something in here to cookies, incensey cookies but cookies nonetheless. It starts out somewhat like balsam with a slight spice background, then a pleasant dry woody incense comes out & it ends up as incense with a hint of snickerdoodles. YMMV. I was concerned there might be a dirt note but not to worry, we're baking instead!
It's pretty great, actually, and not too sweet.

Mostly getting a lovely sweet tobacco & parchment with a hint of vanilla. Any leather is well incorporated. Very warm & inviting - I would wear this as a perfume!

I love ambrette & I forgot there was any in this, so I wasn't expecting such a great musky base to the citrus notes. I thought it was maybe white amber or white musk. I can identify the neroli but it doesn't take over like in Fleur d'Oranger where it is the star of the show. This has a lot more complexity - I occasionally get a whiff of bay & myrrh, too. I'm a fan!
