  1. Berry Moon is absolutely one of the most gorgeous berry scents I have ever smelled. It's better than Crawdad Dream, Strawberry Moon, and Lady Una, and those are some of my favorite scents. It has become a new favorite. How to describe it? Ok, it's a little sweet, but not too sweet. A bit musky, but a soft girly kind of musk, and I am wondering why I only got one bottle. Someday I'll learn to go with my instincts and take more chances.

  2. Yeah, Evanescence, you were right about everything, except that Psycological Horror doesn't smell like Snow White in my opinion. What I get from it is a softer, more girly Delousing Powder. It's a pretty, powdery, and calming scent. I think I understand the psycho-ness because it starts out so soft and intensifies as time goes by, kind of like the psycho who tricks you into thinking everything is ok, and then something snaps.

Psycological Horror is beautiful and I should order another bottle before they're all gone. So, if you like soft, musky but not boring scents, you should try it.

  3. So, I just got this yesterday from the lovely Noumenon, and had to try it right away. My sister-in-law was still here, but outside with the guys, after a day of shopping for house things that we didn't really need. I went outside and the first thing she said was "is that the new soap you just got that smells so good?" I wispered, so my husband wouldn't know that I just got yet another BPAL, "No, it's a new oil" She said "that smells REALLY good!".

To my nose, it smells a lot like Midwinter's Eve, so I guess mostly plum, but darn it's a good one! It's a bit sweeter and gentler than ME, and very pretty. Glad I got some before the CDs go away.

  4. I just got my package today and tried Strawberry Moon right away. It's all strawberries when wet, but while I was working on the new house that we're moving to, I kept smelling something delicious and realized it had morphed into a sweet strawberry musky scent. I've never smelled a real strawberry that was this good. It's soft and girly and luckily without any unpleasant bitterness soapiness. Just perfect!

As of today this scent has moved to second place just behind Snow White. I could sniff this all summer and not get tired of it. :D

  5. I got to try a sniffie of Fee, thanks to Yeahbutnobut. There was enough to test, and it smells like a cross between Agape and Earth Rat, but better. It's very pretty, and if I ever find any, or if it's ever resurected, I would definitely get a few bottles.

  6. Agape is one of those scents that should be edible. It's that good. On me it smells like a cross between Teenage Cannibal and Snow, Glass, Apples, only better. I just knew this was going to be pretty, and it seems like the perfect scent to celebrate the forum's birthday.

The one problem I can see is needing a few more bottles to slather because it seems to fade quickly. It's a shame that it can't be a GC scent that we could get whenever we want to.

I can smell apples, fruit, and something creamy. It's sweet, but certainly not to the point of being sickeningly sweet. Another LE love. :wub2:

  7. I absolutely love this scent! I wore it to work today and it started out smelling like very sweet plum. Then right after work I stopped at the house we're going to be moving to so I could dp some work on it. I figured after that much time I must be the only person who could smell it, but I stopped at my daughter's house and she said "mmm, you smell good, which one is that?". So, it lasted a long time, and I love it in all of it's stages. It looks like this might be in the top five.

Back to the scent. It smells similar to Fairy Market, but sweeter and not as piercingly sharp as FM. It's creamy, but not foody. It's feminine, beautiful, and totally highlights the talent of it's creator.

  8. Khrysee certainly is a sexy scent. She's all vanilla amber on me and I don't know why I like it more than other amber scents I've tried. It's only slightly sweet, but so warm and inviting. It's a come and get me kind of scent, a lot like Snake Charmer and Snake Oil, but softer and closer to the skin. I'm not getting the orange blossom, although that's probably where the sweetness is coming from. This just might be my favorite of the Aphrodites. So, I guess it's love!

  9. In the bottle Dia is a sharp, cool scent. On and wet I can smell what I think is oakmoss and tobacco flower. It still smells cool and most likely that's the white musk which I love in other scents, and expect to with this one.

Drying, the scent warms up and I get hints of coconut, but it's so well blended that it's hard to pick out any of the notes separately. It certainly is different than anything I've smelled before, and I like it, but can't tell if it's going to be love or not.

  10. Giant Vulva sure is a sexy scent and lasts a long time. It's creamy, musky and for some reason reminds me of Illustrated Woman while it's wet.

I am loving this scent already, and I bet it's going to get even better after it's aged. When it dries I smell creamy musky citrus and I'll probably need to order another one before the Lupercalia update goes away.

  11. Laughter loving.

Peach wine, carnation, lemon peel, osmanthus, blood orange, wood violet, and tuberose.

In the bottle Philommeides is all fresh peach, and when wet it's all peach. But boy is it ever the sexiest peach I've ever smelled. As it's drying I'm getting similarities to Gladdener of All Hearts. Where is that coming from? I don't think they share any of the same notes. It's pretty and feminine. As it's drying I'm getting some carnation, but it's still mostly peach and something dark, maybe the wood violet. I can smell a tiny bit of lemon now. It smells like a really good drink.

I could fall for this one. It's a fabulous scent.

  12. I wore Candy Phoenix on New Year's Eve, and after getting ready to leave, I was in the kitchen and my husband came in and said "come here so I can smell you". He said I smelled good enough to eat, and I had to agree that it really does smell like yummy candy. The late drydown is like pink cotton candy and I really love it. Guess I should get another bottle before it's gone. :P

  13. Since Snow White is my number one scent, there was no way I couldn't at least try this. I'm so happy I did because it smells exactly like the oil. I sprayed it in my bedroom and on my pillow last night. I slept great and woke up to the wonderful smell of Snow White. If you love the oil, you really need to get this before it's gone!

  14. Beaver-versary '08

I have a bottle of Beaver Moon'07 and figured Beaver-versay would smell a lot like it, but it's so much more yummy! It starts out smelling like strawberry cheesecake, but the drydown is like the best vanilla bean cheesecake I've ever smelled. This is one of those scents that you have to keep reminding yourself that it isn't edible. I need another bottle!

  15. Sugar Cookie '08 is yummy. It smells a lot like MB-Underbed to me, and I love that one too, but only have a decant. I get cinnamon from it, and on it smells like snickerdoodles. It's a warm, playful scent and I'm happy to have a bottle of it.

  16. I wrote a review for Snow White 2007 already, so I hope it's ok to write one for Snow White '08.

I was painting and getting my living room ready for new furniture to be delivered and decided the hardwood floor needed a fresh coat of polyurethane (oil based). So I did the floor and went upstairs to start testing my new scents that arrived earlier that day. Snow White is my all time favorite scent ever, so I tested it first hoping it was going to be as good as last year's.

I sniffed and sniffed, but nothing. No smell at all. I thought there was something wrong with my precious Snow White, but it was just that my nose wasn't working from smelling the floor.

It took until the next afternoon when I tested it again that I finally could smell it and realized that '08 is every bit as good as '07, so more bottles needed to be ordered. It's THAT good!

  17. I only bought one Chaos and it's a hard one to review. The number is MCCCLXXXll, so 1460. It's a fresh scent and in some ways reminds me of Archangel Winter, so it must have some ozone. It smells cool and might have a touch of rose somewhere in there. The drydown is soft and really pretty. There's something sweet in the background, maybe honey or sugar, but it isn't sharp at all. I wish I was better at this because it's really hard to describe. It makes me wish I would have gotten a few more.

  18. L'Autunno smells like warm apple cider and late September. When you've had enough of the heat and humidity of summer and are wishing for Fall to finally get here, this is the scent that I have in my head that totally personifies the season.

Now for something a bit more helpfull: I tested the oil just before leaving for a trip with my husband, and as we were driving he asked what I was wearing. I stuck my wrist under my nose and he said he loves it. I was surprised and didn't think he would like an apple scent. It's very much a warm apple and a bit musky, which I love.

I wasn't sure if it would smell like a candle on me when I first sniffed it, but it doesn't. It's a winner and a hoard worthy scent that will be treasured when Fall is finally here. :P

  19. Yvaine is such a pretty scent. It's all lavender when wet, but the drydown is heavenly. It fits the character, Yvaine perfectly, starting out sharp then a little while later it's almost like a white musk, but more like skin musk and innocence. It's kind of how you would expect true love to smell if it had it's own identifying scent.

It's a great scent to wear for falling asleep, but I really love it after it dries and settles for a few hours. In the morning the scent that's left from it is just incredible. Definitely going in my next order.

  20. I totally agree with Ivyandpeony's review! This is so gorgeous. Something about it reminds me of an aged version of Defututa although they don't share many of the same notes (I think smoky vanilla might be the only note similarity). I can only imagine how good it's going to be after it actually ages a bit.

As I walked through the grocery store this morning, people seemed nicer and a few smiled or said hi, which was kind of strange. Could it have been the scent or the way I feel when I wear it?

The wear length didn't seem that long, so I re-applied every few hours today so I could keep smelling the different phases it goes through as it's drying. It's probably the most sexy scent I've ever worn.

I think I'll need at least one more bottle.

  21. With my first sniff of Boomslang I was reminded of one of those perfumes they sell for dogs, and I get that for the first few minutes after putting it on. After a while it's mostly fresh Snake Oil and a little bit of chocolate, which I like, but keep thinking this is going to be super amazing when the SO has a chance to age a bit. I like it.

  22. Since I love almost any scent with white musk, I knew I would like Tiki Queen. It's sweet, fruity, and completely girly. It isn't as heavy as Diary of a Teenage Cannibal, but reminds me of it. The comparison to sweet tarts is a good way to describe this. Another keeper and another great scent for the hot summer months. Love it!

  23. The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year. - Mark Twain

The Fool is many things, but rarely is he foolish. He is the inscrutable zero, he is innocence perfected, and he is the nothing from which all things are created. It is the Fool that reveals truth and brings wisdom to King Lear, and it is the Fool that finally finds the Holy Grail.

Huckleberry, white rose, tangerine, nicotiana, lemon blossom, and Fool's Parsley.

April Fool sure fooled me. I was worried that all I would smell is rose, but this is going to be so nice as a summer scent. As it's drying I can smell Huckleberry and tangerine, and probably lemon blossom. It's really quite pretty.

This is my first time writing the first review for a scent, and I'm not very good with identifying notes. I'm happy that I got a bottle of this before it went away.

Note to Mods: I couldn't find a topic for this, so if there was one started, please feel free to move this.
