  1. It took me a while to decide that I just had to try Liz and finally ordered a bottle. Why did I wait so long? This scent is so perfect! Its the best mix of vanilla, flowers, and barely there leather. I'm a dummy for waiting this long. It lasts really long. I put some on after my bath and could still smell it in the morning. It has some good throw, and almost smells like a soft, sweet vanilla ozone, but not harsh the way ozone usually is on me.

My Mom's puppy loves it too. She brought her seven week old chihuahua puppy along over to watch a movie last night, and he was attached to my arm for most of the movie, 2012, humping it! Isn't he too young to be so horny? Mom said he must really like my perfume, and my husband likes it too. I never expected it to be a male aphrodisiac, but it is.

    I love Liz! :wub2:

  2. The lab must have known I've been wanting to try Golden Priapus and sent a frimp in my last order. Thanks! I can see understand why this is considered masculine, yet I love wearing it and should get a bottle soon. Its such a soft pine/vanilla blend and so sexy. I have to get my husband to try it. He's usually nice about trying oils on for me, but I think he would really like this one. Its a great scent that could be worn for work or anywhere.

  3. When I first put this on it smells exactly like the licorice candies, Good n Plenty. As it dries I get more vanilla and its a nice sweet vanilla. The anise becomes part of the background. I can't seem to find any cherry blossom or neroli, but that's ok because I like the sweet licorice scent I get from it. After its on for a long time I can smell some cherry, but only a hint. Its a fun scent.

  4. Its been over a week since I first tried Autumn Moon of the Mirror Stand, and its changed already. With the first try it seemed a little sharp, so I tried it again after letting it settle and now its gorgeous. Its a very rich, deserty type scent, but not really foody. More like an imaginary desert that you wish you could taste, but it doesn't exist anywhere except on your wrist.

Its has a sexy quality. All the notes blend seamlessly into this perfect scent. I get a little bit of smokiness from it that makes it seem mysterious. I'll admit, I'll probably need a few more bottles of it.

  5. For those who like O, you're going to love this. To my nose its a dirtier, sexier version of O. Nothing like a little Womb Furie to heat up the night. The Snake Oil gives it a bit of spice, but otherwise I smell honey, and I love it.

  6. I like this way more than I thought I would. Its light and pretty. Its a little creamy, but I can smell the lilac and vanilla. I actually really like it, but what do I say if someone asks what I'm wearing? Of course I'll have to tell the truth, so it could go like this: "that's right boss, its called Penis Admiration", which would be ok since my boss is a woman. If you like the notes in this its definitely worth trying.

  7. Jayne, I think its all about taste, and where else can you find so many different scents that are affordable enough for anyone to try? I don't think it matters if BPAL makes the oils they use. I paint and certainly don't make my own paints. I could, but why would anyone want to waste the time when they could focus on mixing what's already there?

And I happen to like Velveeta. I use it in some pretty good recipes, and after you've tried some BPAL you'll most likely find some that are perfect for you along with some that don't work at all.

  8. I was a bit nervous about ordering Black Death, but its the one I like the best as an individual scent. It smells kind of like root beer on me, definitely a dark and sinister blend. I love it when the clove comes out as its drying, but other than that none of the other notes jump out. Its very well blended, and I'm happy I took a chance on it. Love it.

Edit: As its drying, it reminds me of Knick Knack, which I love but only have an imp of, so I'm even more happy to have this.

  9. Black Heart smells like mostly grape and sweet pea on me. I like it. Its soft, sweet, and pretty. Its going to be a nice spring/summer scent. The vanilla seems to come out more as it dries. I haven't tried the three layered yet, but am really enjoying them individually right now.

  10. Werepuppy smells a lot like Stinky, but works better on me than Stinky did. I think the baby skin smell is apricot, and that note just doesn't sit right with my nose, but here its not as dominant, so I can wear it and enjoy the other notes in the scent. Its nice, and the label is so adorable.

  11. I'm wondering why I waited to get this now instead of with my first Yule order. Its so resiny and spicy. Kind of like a smoother version of Sunbird. I love the clovey smell of it, and should have gotten two right away. Its one of those scents that keeps your wrist glued to your nose, so not a whole lot of throw, but complex and beautiful.

  12. 12/2009 Version: Oh my gosh, I really think I like this new version better than my aged bottle of Black Lace. It seems to have more vanilla and cognac, which to me interprets as warmer than my older one. I could sniff this all night.

It smells like the difference between using pure vanilla extract instead of immitation vanilla for baking. I'm not sure what else is different about it, but whatever it is its GOOD.

  13. This is a complicated scent and I'm not sure how to review it. When its first on its like a blast of cold wind, but with the musk warming it up. It isn't ozone, but reminds me of walking outside on a cold day and taking a deep breath of fresh air, and then smelling some flowers that survived the first few frosts. Its pretty and I'm betting its going to get better with age. I still don't get how Beth can make a scent smell warm and cold at the same time, but she can and it does that in this scent.

  14. No scent description available.

Spare Change smells like Nana's purse with mints and tissues everywhere. It isn't like any other scent I've tried from the lab. Its a sharp mint, almost piercing wintergreen like the inside of Nana's purse used to smell when you would snoop in it when she wasn't looking. I'm not sure I would wear this out, but it certainly gave me some scent memories of a best friend who I miss, and for that I like it. And now that its dry I smell soft, worn purse leather and mints. Spare Change is the perfect name for this scent.

  15. Knick-Knack was a frimp with my inquisition order. It smells like orange clove, but not like a candle type orange clove. Absolutely delicious, and if they ever make more of it I'll be getting some. The smell really reminds me of a precious little knick-knack that you just want to pick up, but can't because you know its valuable and you could break it. As its drying, its starting to smell like minty clove, or clove tea. Love it!

  16. I really like Playing With a Loaded Gun. It smells a bit similar to Diary of a Teenage Cannibal, although I don't see any notes in common. Ginger musk likes me and its sweeter than I expected it to be. I don't smell rooty ginger here, but more of a candied ginger. It lasts long and is fairly strong (plenty of throw), so it doesn't need to be slathered to get the full effect.

  17. Persephone is a total shock scent for me. I would never have guessed that pomegranite and rose could smell good coming from the same bottle. For the first hour this is inyourface  almost offensive, but as its trying to dry (which it never seems to do completely) it calms down and smells much better than anything with rose usually does on me. The rose in here isn't taking charge the way it normally does and that's a good thing. It would be a good going out to dinner scent. Pretty.

  18. Gold Phoenix is the perfect name for this scent. It smells gold of course, but other than that its lemon, orange, and I don't know where this is coming from, but ozone. Or maybe that's just the verbena. This isn't what I would call lemony. Its almost orangy; sort of a fresh golden scent. Fades fast, but pretty while it lasts.

  19. Hod 2009

Wow! I understand why this scent is so loved. I tested it right out of the mailbox because I'm too impatient to wait for it to warm up, not that it needs any warming to smell great.

So, this is carnations? I am impressed. I have always liked the smell of carnations but never really tried wearing them, except for a few other BPALs with carnation. Its so un-flowery and spicy, and warm, and sexy. I smell some clove and maybe some vanilla, but other than that none of the notes are overwhelming the others. Love it!

  20. Gossamer is a light scent like most of the reviewers said, but its pretty and holds it's own all day without having to be re-applied. It goes on kind of soapy while wet and smells like good old Mr Bubble, but that goes away as soon as it starts drying. There's some type of flower in it, but I can't even try to say what. Its just soft and pretty and almost fluffy, and I agree that angels probably bathe in something that smells like this. My husband said he REALLY likes it, so its a winner. Sorry sweety, but this scent is way too feminine for you. :wub2:

  21. This scent was a total surprise since Egg Nog from a few years ago didn't work because it only lasted maybe ten minutes. I barely notice the coffee here, but it's a creamy, sweet blend. It almost has a bit of a fresh vibe that I'm really liking. Darn, I didn't think I would need any more Yules, well, except maybe this one. It's a comfy scent.
