  1. This smells exactly like a blueberry lollipop.  I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but it’s smells so edible.  I love it!  I don’t get any saltiness, just very sweet, yummy blueberry.  It doesn’t change much as it’s drying and seems like it’s going to last a while on my skin.  It’s like walking past a kid who’s eating a lollipop.  I’m tempted to get a second bottle.

  2. For anyone else who loves Snow White as much as I do, you HAVE to get 2013's! I have bottles from every year back to 2004 and they all smell incredible, but each year smells slightly different, and I love that about it. I decide in the mornng which year I want to wear and even if I want to wear another oil, Snow White typically goes on with it. Well, I have to say that with this year's I can smell the love, passion, and genious that Beth put into her work. This one requires no aging or waiting a few hours to smell awesome, it just does! I absolutely love SW 2013!!!

  3. I absolutely love this oil! And so does my husband. Every time I use it, which is practically every day, he makes comments about how good my hair smells. We just stayed in MD for two weeks, so my daughter came for a little vacation. She asked what I used on my hair that smelled so good, so I told her to try it. She wants some now too! It's a fresh coconut smell that's perfect for any season, but also saved my hair from the sun and wind that you get from being on the boat all day. Awesome!

  4. I tried this right out of the mailbox and all I smelled was incense, maybe the orange blossom. So that was about two weeks ago and I tried it a few times since then and it keeps getting better every time I try it. I smell sweet, creamy strawberry now and it's so pretty and girly, but also sexy in an innocent sort of way. It smells like musky strawberries. I'm tempted to get another bottle.

  5. Yesterday after leaving the gym, my husband texted to let me know that he brought the mail in, and Leather Phoenix made it in time for Christmas! It's already wrapped and in his stocking, but being the good wife that I am, I tested a tiny bit before wrapping it. It's awesome! And I usually don't do well with leather. Husband asked what I was wearing and I told him a few different samples, but he knows because I wouldn't let him see the contents of the newest BPAL box. Anyway, the scent is kind of sweet, but made me think of cowboys and shiny, new boots. I got a tiny bit of rose, which didn't detract from the scent at all. I would call it a gender neutral scent, so he might have to share it once in a while. Really nice and one of those I wish I had ordered two of!

  6. I am already far north of London, and as I walk in the streets of Petersburgh, I feel a cold northern breeze play upon my cheeks, which braces my nerves and fills me with delight. Do you understand this feeling? This breeze, which has travelled from the regions towards which I am advancing, gives me a foretaste of those icy climes. Inspirited by this wind of promise, my daydreams become more fervent and vivid. I try in vain to be persuaded that the pole is the seat of frost and desolation; it ever presents itself to my imagination as the region of beauty and delight. There, Margaret, the sun is forever visible, its broad disk just skirting the horizon and diffusing a perpetual splendour. There — for with your leave, my sister, I will put some trust in preceding navigators — there snow and frost are banished; and, sailing over a calm sea, we may be wafted to a land surpassing in wonders and in beauty every region hitherto discovered on the habitable globe. Its productions and features may be without example, as the phenomena of the heavenly bodies undoubtedly are in those undiscovered solitudes. What may not be expected in a country of eternal light? I may there discover the wondrous power which attracts the needle and may regulate a thousand celestial observations that require only this voyage to render their seeming eccentricities consistent forever. I shall satiate my ardent curiosity with the sight of a part of the world never before visited, and may tread a land never before imprinted by the foot of man. These are my enticements, and they are sufficient to conquer all fear of danger or death and to induce me to commence this laborious voyage with the joy a child feels when he embarks in a little boat, with his holiday mates, on an expedition of discovery up his native river. But supposing all these conjectures to be false, you cannot contest the inestimable benefit which I shall confer on all mankind, to the last generation, by discovering a passage near the pole to those countries, to reach which at present so many months are requisite; or by ascertaining the secret of the magnet, which, if at all possible, can only be effected by an undertaking such as mine.

The country of eternal light: icy wind, depth hoar, and frost-limned lichen.

I can't say for sure what notes are in this, but I'm guessing there's gotta be some white musk. I thought I would have to wash it off or use it for sinus clearing, but I waited. It morphed completely, and an hour later it was the most pretty scent; softer and a little sweet, which is why I think there's some white musk in it. It kind of reminds me of Snowflakes after it's been on for a while. Definitely smell the lichen.

  7. THE GLITTERING APPLE OF THE STARS
Heirloom Malus, ylang ylang, white and blue musks, crystallized vanilla, tiare, frangipani, and bergamot.

This scent is a surprise love! I opened the bottle and got a whiff of musky, sweet apple. It's got plenty of throw and seems to be lasting really long. One tiny drop was enough so the bottle will last a long time. Very pleasant and pretty. :D

  8. What a pretty scent this is, and as it's drying I'm getting a sexy vibe from it, but it isn't loud or a hey look at me scent. It makes me think of a pretty woman wearing a nice suit with a low cut blouse, but the kind of woman who doesn't even realize she's sexy. I always thought rhubarb was a strange type of plant, but never smelled it in perfume before this. Another beautiful scent!

  9. If I was any good at writing reviews, I would have written the same thing as Mineralgirl. Since I'm not, I'll just say that it's a very bright pretty scent and not too sweet. It kind of reminds me of Loosening of the Obi.

  10. I thought I reviewed LSSB already, but I can't find it if I did. I searched for many years for a good lemon scent but never found one until this. Not that Beth hasn't produced any good ones, but this one lasts long, has the right tough of sweetness and is just a perfect scent on me. It's fun and refreshing, but also would work when it's cold out. I hope to stock up before it goes, but I'm hoping it "sticks" around.

  11. I first tried Tattered Lace yesterday, and thought it smelled smoky. Trying again today, it still smells smoky, but nicer. After drying it reminds me slightly of Black Lace, but so much softer. I'll probably stash it and check it in a few months to see how it's aging, but right now I have other scents that work better on me. Not bad though.

Tried again a few days later: Much nicer now. So Tattered Lace is going to age very well I think.

  12. I just got Ninon today and had to try a drop right away. When I smelled it I thought of Oisin, although they don't have any notes in common that I'm aware of. I love the lavender in this. It's light, fresh, sexy, and really pretty. It smells sofisticated. It sort of reminds me of Yvaine's lavender. I'm happy I got some before it's gone.

  13. I love Celeste. For those who are missing Antique Lace, you have to get this. It's definitely the vanilla from AL. It's a warm, comforting scent. It lasts forever with only a tiny drop. I can smell a touch of the saffron while it's wet, but the drydown is all vanilla. Just yummy!

  14. Rice wine, white sandalwood, vanilla bean, and white musk.

Loosening of the Obi is an herbal scent to my nose at least. I think it's the rice wine that's making me smell an herbal note. It's light and pretty, and reminds me of some of the amber scents, kind of like a lighter Jacob's Ladder. It seems to fade pretty fast, but age might help with that.

  15. She Who Furnishes Pregnancy
Peru balsam, vanilla bean, Rainier cherry, bitter almond, golden honey, rose water, lemon peel, sugar cane, and benzoin.

While Kypris is wet I can smell cherry, almond, and a bit of lemon. It dries down to a pleasant, soft skin scent. It's nice.

  16. Red Lace smells like a sexier version of Smut with some vanilla mixed in. I don't smell raspberry or a lot of the other notes, but the others will probably come out with a little aging. It's a nice scent that would work well to wear out, but it's light enough to wear to work. Well done and really pretty.

  17. For a flesh eating reindeer, this scent is perfect! It's warm, sweet, and spicy. I think I'm getting some musk which I think is giving me the impression of warmth. The ginger here is excellent. I can't stop sniffing this ultra comforting scent and to think that I was waffling for so long about ordering it or not ordering it. DD is also superb with getting the orders shipped fast. I ordered on Friday and got it on Monday. If you weren't sure about trying the reindeer and you like warm, musky, spicy scent, you really need to try this. :D

  18. This year's Snow White soap is much different than the one sold previously by the lab. I smell more of Snow White with the new one, and it's great used with the bath oil. It seems more substantial and will probably last longer than the older version. It also has more scent than the previous SW soap. Since I love SW I definitely love this soap and hope it comes back every year!

  19. I love The Arabian Dance! It doesn't smell too much like leather on me, or it's a leather I can wear. Most leathers don't work, but this one works so well. The spices here remind me of aged Raven Moon, but warmer. I really can't smell coffee or hazelnut individually, but as a whole the scent smells gorgeous. I think this will age superbly and it will be a highly sought after scent after it's gone. I just might have to get another bottle or two.

  20. This smells the way little girls should always smell, although it's also perfect for grown up girls. The plum is just right, not too sweet. When I was around 12 I had a lip gloss that smelled like this and tasted good too. Sugar Plum Fairy isn't foody on me, but it smells almost edible. I don't smell any watermelon thankfully. I just love this scent and will need at least one more bottle before it leaves.
