I'm a big fan of musk, two of my favorite scents are Les Bijoux and Torture Queen.
I love the skin musk in Les Bijoux, does anyone know of another scent that compares? Neutral is already on my radar and I can't wait to mix it with a whole bunch of things.

Bottle: Mmm caramel and a bit of tobacco. I think I like it.
Wet: This smells delish so far. A nice blend of amber, caramel, coconut and tobacco. I think the currant helps make it a bit fuller
Dry: This is really heady and cloying, I feel like I'm in a opium den
Overall: I gonna try this again before I decide whether to get a bottle or not but I do like it. I feel like its the perfect club blend...something very sexy
-
Bottle: Roses and lots of roses and sandalwood
Wet: There is something dark almost musky in this, a darker floral. A bit of sweetness too
Dry: Its a mix of a lot of things, still very musky and sweet. The rose don't really show up nor the vanilla. I wish I had a better nose so I could pick out more notes
Overall: I give it about a 3/5. Its not bad, it dries down to something very nice. I'm gonna have to try it out a few more times before I decide whether to get a bottle or not. Its different from my usual
-
Bottle: Is it bad that from botlle I don't think it smells as good as it should. Its plasticy vanilla and cream with a hint of ammonia
Wet: UGH, its sharp and just nasty smelling, like burning plastic
Dry: Yea, minty...I didn't sign up for mint. It kinda smells like a cleaner for wood my grandma used to use
Overall: My sense of disappointment is great. The blend seemed like it would be beautiful but just turned to a horror picture on me
-
Bottle: This is a really nice. Very light floral scents. I'm not really familiar with these scents so I won't be able to pick it out. Something is very sharp though
Wet: Very subtle, the green tea gives it a very nice presence especially mixed with the cherry blossoms
Dry: Still very subtle but now there is something fruity and sweet, with a hint of sharpness.
Overall: 5/5 for me . I think its a perfect Spring scent, everything just comes together so nicely. Its one of those scents that would have someone glued to your nose, so I don't mind the lack of throw too much
-
Bottle: Fruity! I smell grapes and something else..I wonder what it is? Maybe figs, maybe pomegranates
Wet: Weird!!!! Fruits and a lot of them. I think I smell the grapes, figs and dates with beautiful honey behind it. It doesn't seem to have much throw yet but I'll wait till it settles a bit more before I decide.
Dry: Still very sweet and fruity only its mellowed out nicely through the honey
Overall: I give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. Nice for a spring day but I can't smell any milk!!
-
Bottle: Mmmm pears with something behind it that comes across kind of sharp
Wet: Very faint pears and I believe I smell a hint of vanilla. There also seems to be something a little incensey dancing in the background
Dry: A whole lot of pears and no vanilla. This is really strong almost to the point of piercingly so
Overall: I give this a 2.5/5. I don't care too much for it and I wanted to love it. Maybe a few more hrs into the drydown it will meld into something beautiful but for now its gonna either be sold or layered with something
-
Bottle: What a weird combo. I get a bare hint of chocolate and a whole heaping of fruit notes. A nice blending of fruit..not too sharp
Wet: I am not good at picking out fruit notes especially when there are this many. I think the peach is there and maybe some vanilla. Its very pretty smelling...I think I can catch the cocoa absolute sitting in the back ground. Its kinda showy, definite throw
Dry: First impressions of it drying is that there is something very acidic/sharp cutting through....I'm not sure I like. 13 has mellowed out a bit but I think its a bit strong for me, it gives a bit of a headache. Its more of a mix of fruit and florals..hmmm
Overall: I give this a 2.5-3 out of 5. Its not great but its not horrible...maybe I can layer it with something
-
Bottle: The cinammon comes out alot with cocoa wafting in and out with a hint of bitter coffee
Wet: I think it just got shy on me..or my skin ate it. That's not nice at all
Dry: It came back out to play. My skin amps cinammon like, for a few minutes there it I smelled like a Big Red but its morphed into something creamier with the cocoa and coffee coming out to play
Overall: I think I can give this a solid 4/5. It blends nicely in its drydown into this wonderful blend of chocolate, coffee with a hint of cinammon. I think the sugar is what makes it warm as oppose to the hottness of the cinamon
-
Bottle: Pure gingerbread cookies...it reminds me of my granmother's gingersnaps. The spice helps add a cpmplexity to it
Wet: It smells hot, the cinammon cuts through alot, mixed in the the ginger its kinda nice
Dry: Someone's baking..thats all I can think. The cinammon stays pretty strong with the ginger...I don't really get a sense of the nutmeg and the clove..yet but maybe they will play later
Overall: I give this a 3.5/5. I like it, its not one that I would wear often since I would probably get hungry and its not too complex. However, its still a keeper! Oh and it has decent throw. I put a lil on the inside of my elbow and I can smell it wafting around
ETA: Its been about 6 hrs and I have to say GP kinda rocks, its dried down to this sweet/not too sweet/enticing smell that is delish. Every so often it wafts up and I'm like what smells soo good. Yummy

Bottle: Chocolate with something sweet behind it. There is also a spice that I'm thinking is the pumpkin. The longer I smell it in the bottle the sweeter it comes across
Wet: Mmm, chocolate and pumpkin, there is something very warm to this scent that I'm sure is the caramel
Dry: Dry the pumpkin comes out way more combined with the sweetness of the caramel. The chocolate fades which isn't a bad thing. I can't smell hte pomegranate but that might be because I don't know what it smells like exactly.
Overall: I give this a 4 out of 5. Its has great throw but for a few moments it was just a bit TOO sweet but that dies down once the caramel takes a bit of a back seat and I can finally smell fruit! I do like it, it will def be my fall/winter scent
-
Bottle: Mmmm, sweet pretty plums
Wet: More plumy goodness
Dry: Is..is that booze?
It starts off so pretty then turns to wine on me, ugh. I need to give it another go and see

Holy Lemon Pledge!!!! That is my very first impression..its not bad b/c there is a bite to it but man...lemon
Ok, its calmed down a bit..and there is a lil jasmine behind it.
sidenote: I think this is one not to slather b/c my finger i used to put it on smells much lighter. The lemon is not as strong and the other notes come through(yes i so put a dollop on when I'm testing)
ETA: I think I need to get rid of this
-
On wet: Sweet almonds is all I get. Not a bad thing since I love the way it smells
Drydown: Sandalwood with a orange peel edge. Its nice, just praying it doesnt take an evil turn to baby powder. Since its either that or myrrh that does that.
I think I like it which is good since I bought a bottle unsniffed I just wish the spiciness of the cloves would come out
-
Sweet, sweet glorious chocolate with something bitter behind it. Its kinda faint on my skin but that might be cause I used just a lil bit in this test. The cream emerges slowly which is a delight and adds a really nice sweetness
45 mins later, Ive decided that I love this scent..love, love, love. It turns into something soo beautiful
ETA: this has the best staying power out of all the BPAL i've tried, I can put this on in the morning and still smell it faintly the next morning
-
I'm not sure I like this at all and thats just from smelling it in the bottle. The black narcissus is very strong...and completely takes over everything. Every few seconds I catch a brief wift of vanilla before the black narcissus swallows it again.
As it dries down, the vanilla starts to build up but not enough to take out the black narcissus.
ETA: I think I like it now. Hunger has dry downed into this dark sexy smell. I'm gonna have to try it out a few times before I decided whether or not I need a bottle
-
In the bottle: Its really strong, I like it. There is a strong incense smell..I guess it it might be myrrh. Wait is that a hint of lemon I detect? hmm.... There is something very enticing about it from the bottle.
Wet on skin: Ugh, is that baby powder I smell? Pls God no....
Dry on skin My God it is baby powder, with something sweet behind it. There is still something enticing behind it even with the baby powder smell
After awhileIts dried down quite nice. There is still a baby powder smell but its much sweeter. The incense smell from the bottle is wafting around in the background.
Verdict Its phenomenal in the bottle but the baby powder smell on my skin is gonna keep my from outside of intent. I don't mind that. On the intent side, I didn't have a chance to try it on anyone else but it surely did entice me. I was reading my book and all of sudden this captivating smell hit my nose and w.o thought my nose followed the scent to my arm and took the deepest breath. Now all I need is a boy to do that, lol
ETA: About 3-4 hrs later, Queen of the Nile has turned into this pretty warm scent. Its yummy

Akuma has a very sharp smell, it cuts through everything. I'm not too good w/ picking out the notes since I just started but I can definately find the sweetness of the raspberry under the sharpness. I'm trying to figure out the incensey smell that seems to be melding along with the rest.
The drydown is nice, its like a fizzy raspberry. Don't know how I feel about it on a whole just yet, a few more tries r in store

I think I'm in love with Sudha Segara, its only flaw is that it doesn't last long and doesn't have a big throw. I love the spiciness in it that comes from the ginger, mixed with the sweetness of the honey and the creaminess of the milk its perfect!. Now if I age it will that make it last longer..cause I want another bottle of it
The Musk Thread! Need to know what type is for you?
