  1. Very clean lemon and bright florals. Started to go Pledge on me, but luckily it mellowed out into a nice bright lemon instead of the cleaner lemon I usually get.

It smells sort of like a lemon bar with flowers in it! Some thyme, but not nearl as much as Calliope had. I do like this quite a bit. It smells very bright and cheery to me. This would be a great spring scent, and I really like, but I doubt I'll get a bottle since it's an LE now. I would hate to find I truly love it and then not be able to get anymore.

  2. maybe I'm craaaazy, but to me this smells just like the spice/herbal notes in Queen of Sheba minus the almonds. Which, means, that this smells like tea cakes on me. Metaphysical teacakes maybe! But some sort of spicecake all the same.

Must, soft and nice, but not really me all the same.

  3. oooh noo, I get Jasmine like crazy! Jasmine and I guess Gardenia (which always smells like brown sugar to me for some off reason).

I can't wear my jasmine this strong, it leaves me smelling like a bowl of rice and sugar. But for people who like Jasmine, then you'd love this!

  4. hmn, i was hoping for more incense and less cedar wood. I like cedar quite a bit, but it's the incense in the cathedrals that I love. I can smell a cathedral, a lofty wood buildings, but I don't get as much of a kick out of this as I tought.

Oh well, at least I like cedar.

  5. This smells almost exactly like Skadi did on me. A forest, but a really sweet, sweet pine/fir forest. I don't know why, but my skin turns evergreens into candy on my wrist. :P

Sucks.. because I love the smell on pine and fir trees, but apparently I can't wear it.

The sweet trees overpower any dirt, mosses or herbs in here on me.

  6. First off, let me say that it took me 15 minutes to get my bottle open cause it was screwed on so tight!

So after thinking I might never get to smell The Ghost, I enjoy it all the more!

In the bottle, smells like a hothouse, or a butter fly house or something. Like I would imagine a jungle to smell like.

On, ooooo, lovely, soft, clean florals! For some reason I smell apple, there is no apple listed in here, but I smell soft white flowers and apples. The ultimate spring time scent. The is definitly a glee filled scent, in conjures up images of a ghost lingering around a summer luncheon to cause some trouble.

In terms of other scents, it smells somewhat similar to hell's belle, but without the spices and soapyness.

I like this alot!! I am really glad I bought a 5ml of this, this is a perfect summer day scent. Not too thick, just a ghostly hint of dry white florals. Perfect!

  7. I got a 5ml of this unsniffed from a swap, and I'm very pleased!

I get clean herbs, a traaaace of wet dirt, and not really wine, but I can tell there is something boozy hiding in there somewhere.

This smells light yellow to me, very very clean and fresh. But not sharp, and not musty. This is fresh wet dirt. But not dirt in the same way as GothRosary's graveyard. This is much more blended with herbs. My favorite herb scent to date and will be great in the summer!

  8. A misty, almost luminous perfume: wispy linden blossoms, white flowers, and a touch of sweet herbs.

very white scent. Juicy and sweet, but sort of tart at the same time. I'm not sure what I'm smelling really, but some sort of sweet white flower with what feels like citrus but I guess is the herbs. A very clean fresh scent, but too sweet for me!

  9. I am not that familiar with perfumes. But Beth is no idiot (if fact, she is brilliant!) and if the oils were dangerous she would say so. I've purchased other oils, and they have specifically, as you mentioned, said that they were not for contact with skin. But I'm sure Beth knows this and reasons that her oils are in fact composed differently and are not dangerous.

I'm not concerned in the least.

    edit for spelling

  10. Let me just start off by saying that I've already ordered a 5ml of this, because I looove it!

Goes on almond, but then.... all these amazing spices and incenses come out and I smell like a church or a sacrifical offering. This scent smells so holy, so feline and so etereally beautiful on me. I just can't stop sniffing my wrists. I can't even place the notes, they all blend together into a smooth, warm and sultry exotic blend. Prrrrrfect if you'll excuse the cliche!

  11. Well, my favorite violet scent to date. This smells like dark smokey violets, not the icky violet candies i get most of the time.

First on I get goneril almost.. there must be cedar or sometype of wood in here as well. That later fades and i get some soft smokeyness. Dark, like a smokey lounge, and yet somewhat sweet with violets. An innocent lady in dark circumstances.

Nice! Will certainly finish the imp.

  12. a very unusual scent to me. First orange, with something tingly. Oddly this smells somewhat anticeptic on me for the first half an hour, like orange bactine or something. This must the fizzy people were talking about. anyway, that soon fades and I'm left with a pleasnt blend of orange and smokey undertones. Overall nice, but not really "me".

  13. No description but a bit of online searching tells me that it is Hoodoo related and used for luck, protection, and power:

"The Seven African Powers image most often seen on hoodoo soaps and anointing oils consists of seven saints (sometimes given orisha names and sometimes saint names) surrounding a central circle in which is shown the crucifixion of Jesus, watched by a rooster on a pedestal.

In the early 1980s the Seven African Powers name entered hoodoo as an all-purpose power-enhancing magical formula, considered to be equivalent to John the Conqueror in its presumed effects, and used in much the same manner"

This is a very clean, herbal scent on me. I can't really make out any of the note, but I get a very sharp, not quite lemony scent. Definitly herbs and possibly grasses, i don't have a clue as to which though. If I had to choose another bpal scent like it, I'd have to say shroud mixed with snake oil (which smelled like angel cake on me) would be the most similar of the ones I've tried, except this is fresher and cleaner.

This makes me feel awake and clean, which I enjoy, althogh it's not really a scent I'd wear on a regular day.

the drydown ends up to be herbs, perhaps cedar wood and something else I really cant put my finger on.

I did use this to annoint a candle, which came to very good ends, so i think i will keep this for my rare uses of candle magick since this seems to be sort of an allpurpose good luck and power blend.

  14. this is probly my least favorite rose, because well.. the rose is so strong! The pomegranate makes the rose really juicy, strong and sweet. i like rose, but I like it tempered with something. Let me just say, that if you like sweet and you like rose then this is the scent for you!

  15. sugar glazed cherries... musks.... cough syrup? this is sweet in much more of a sexy way than say bon vivant or bordello, but meh... I just don't like sweet it seems. this scent is to me, a buxom lady in a red velvet dress. Sadly however, while i am buxom, i am not the type for red velvet dresses. This one was a bit too sultry for me.

  16. Compelling, complex, and utterly enigmatic: a luxuriant, exotic blend of cherry, red musk, and star anise.

I was dying to try this one, but I guess I should stick to anise in food, cause it smells icky on me. I get some sort of odd almond cherry which is pretty nice at first but then it gets sweet and anise(y) all at the same time and I'm not too keen on it. I guess sweet smells just arent my thing.

  17. wow, apples alright! Smells just like biting into an apple at the farmers market. Cold, wet, clean, apples! I don't really get any of the other parts of the scent, just the apple, which is really strong on me. Not something I'd wear really, but would make a lovely room scent.

  18. I was hoping this would smell sort of like white rabbit minus the pepper, and I'm pleased, this is certainly a scent of it's own, but does meet my need for a non peppery tea scent.

First off I get vanilla, milk and tea. Very soft tea with a hint of vanilla milk. A bit like Sudha with a whiff of vanilla. There is a hint of something more though, something a bit trecherous and sexed up, the musks?

Later i get someting bitter... weird! I was not expecting this. Someting like a breeze through a garden patch, i never realized that ferns had a smell before, but thats it! The vanilla has faded now and I sort of miss it, but still very very nice. I'd like to try this on the BF too.

all in all, a winner in the tea and vanilla scents for me, just enough of each. It may take me a while to get used to the "fougere' though.

  19. Can a floral be described as very floral? I dunno, this just seems like the most floral floral that I've tried to date, if that makes any sense?

I get very pretty strong magnolias and rose, and a hint of jasmine which sort of warms it up, and they on top of all that I get a strong amber which sort of solidifies all the flowers and makes them UBER strong, super flowers. This scent is not soft on me at all, it is very very hard. I guess, mainly, it reminds of a harder version of blood countess, which I guess would be due to the rose.

all in all not my cuppa, but good for someone who likes their florals hardcore.

ETA this has grown on me, and I'm quite fond of it now. Would be nice for a balmy summer night and an outdoor dinner

  20. I'm sort of undecided on this one.

Ordered an imp based on the almond note, and I was very happy for the first hour as I smelled of marzipan. But the spices.hmmm... it smells like some sort of a grass or peppery herb. I like it, but it's sort of a complex smell. Oddly, I found myself smelling like an almond spice cake (really!) for the next 8 hours. I like the almond, I like how it lasted all day, but really, I may prefer bastet just because I can identify the scent better, plus the spicy sort of makes my nose tingle.

All around very pretty though! Will finish the imp for sure.

  21. I've, sadly, never actually smelled absinthe in reality before, but if it tastes anything like my imp smells, then damn, I'd love it. However, i dont really want to smell like it.

I get anise, and something else very tart, which I guess would be wormwood. This is nice, but it's far too bitter for me to want to wear on a regular basis. Very nice anise scent though.

  22. This smelled very similar to the other sleep oils although not quite as pungent, and with a bit more anise.

This one stood out to me because it because it gave me amazing dreams! I'm not prone to nightmares either but this gave me to most fantasyfull, realistic dreams I've had in a long time.

If it does it on the 2nd try as well, I'm gonna get me a big bottle.

  23. I think my skin amps up ylang ylang, cause all the scent I get with this note end up smelling the same on me. Which is nice.. but a bit boring.

so Skuld, to me, is all all ylang ylang with maybe a hint of musk, and so I guess Ill swap it with someone who has better chemistry than me for these notes.
