    This scent. I originally purchased it for my fiance, but I think I really enjoy it on myself.

    I can't identify the scents, but it smells warm and a bit spicy(?)

    It calls to mind an image of a warm fire in a log cabin. It doesn't necessarily smell that way, but it's where my mind takes me.

    Unfortunately not a scent that goes well with my skin.

    It smells like the bar soap that old ladies have in their fancy bathrooms that no one's allowed to use unless you're a guest. It's super powdery, soapy, and flowery to me. I think I smell the wisteria which is a note I now know is not for me.

    Keep an eye on the Circular Swaps section anyway, because even if Switch Witch isn't going on, there are always new ones starting up. Right now all the Christmas/holiday ones are about halfway over, but after the new year I wouldn't be surprised to see some new ones opening.

     

    I'm gonna happy-flail. I crochet and would be super happy to send people snuggly crochet items :3

    Hi! Seeing as it's in my signature, I can explain :D

     

    There's a Circular Swaps subforum here, where people run all kinds of swaps involving many participants. Switch Witch is just one of those. Lately it's been happening once a year around Halloween, but in the past it's been more frequent as well. It's basically a giant game of Secret Santa, where you get assigned to send gifts to someone (your Witchee) and someone else (your Witch) gets assigned to send gifts to you, and you spend about a month thinking up notes and packages and e-cards and presents for your Witchee, while your Witch does the same for you. Lots of people tend to participate and everyone gets really into it, so it's really fun! You basically spend time trying to secretly learn about someone else, surprising them with presents, and trying to brighten their days with nice notes and things like that.

     

    I've participated twice and heartily recommend it!

     

    Edited to add: the link in most people's signatures goes to a list of their answers to questions for a given round. The more questions you publicly answer, the easier it is for your Witch to find out more about you without asking directly!

    Heya BPAL Lovelies!

    I'm new here and saw a few people have signatures with "Switch Witch" in them and I was wondering what that is?

    I totally want to get super involved in the BPAL Community and learn everything I can :B

    If you enjoy the dirt in Zombi, you might also like Penny Dreadful!

     

    The light citrus in Embalming Fluid always reminds me a bit of Zephyr, so you may like that too.

     

    A lot of the Mad Tea Party scents share the same vibe, so if you like Eat Me, you can try for example Drink Me, The Knave of Hearts, or Queen Alice.

     

    If your fiancé likes John Watson, he may enjoy some of the other citrusy colognes, like Villain and Whitechapel.

     

    Lightning reminds me a little of Luminous Phasmatis, which is an equally beautiful ozone blend, but that one is not general catalog (it's a Yule from last year).

    Ah! My fiance says both Villain and Whitechapel sound awesome! I've actually tried and liked Zephyr, I have a lot of favorites :B I think I'll take a look at the other Mad Tea Party scents, and is Luminous Phasmatis rare? If not I may try to get some in the sale/swap threads! :)
