    Desdemona

In the imp: sweet pea. On skin: sweet pea with a dash of carnation. This scent is very simple, sweet, and innocent. It kind of reminds me of Alice a bit, because of the carnation. It smells very soapy, but in a good way, like one of those expensive Crabtree and Evelyn soaps. This would be a good scent for a little girl, but it's too simplistic for me. For my sweet pea fix I will take Juliet or Aeval. After a while it gets a little powdery as carnation is apt to do from time to time. Not great throw, but it lasts a few hours.

    Eos

Well, I've gotten three frimps of this scent on my orders, so I might as well review it today. In the imp: soft honeysuckle and buttercup, not really getting the jasmine all that much. On skin: oh so sweet florals. It reminds me of springtime when I used to live in MD, there were honeysuckles and buttercups growing wild everywhere in my neighborhood and this scent brings back fond memories of childhood. The jasmine in this blend is not very strong, as opposed to the scent of Luna, it's more like a breath of jasmine. This scent sticks very close to the skin, but it's very pretty, pale yellow and purples and pinks, just like a sunrise. I like this and I might consider getting a bottle for springtime use and nostalgia.

    Twilight

In the imp: soapy strong lavender, like Yardley English Lavender soap. On Skin: For the first ten minutes it's pure overpowering lavender, and then after a while the honeysuckle combines with the lavender, and smells very soapy. There's something very old-ladyish to me about this blend, maybe because of the associations I have with the lavender soap-my grandmother always had lavender soap. The jasmine in this is kind of powdery and diapery and this blend on me just ends up smelling like an old lady's bathroom, not something I want to smell like, but would smell good on someone else. Oh well, I will use up the imp for sleep purposes as the lavender is very soothing to me.

    The Hamptons

This is very sweet and fruity. It smells like those candy fruit slices with a dusting of sugar on them, the lime and berry ones. I don't really get a boozy note from this at all, just a candied lime sweetness. After a while, the real scent of cranberry comes out, reminding me of jellied cranberry sauce with orange peel on top. After a while it becomes a sparkly lime, cranberry drink...it smells fizzy. It really does remind me of a cosmo, and this is a very refreshing scent good for the hot days of summer. I might buy a bottle.

    Loviatar

Wow this is pure leather, it reminds me of the leather note in Jolly Roger. On my skin at first, it's pure leather with a hint of spice....the leather is a little bit plasticky though. It's very sensual, with a sweetness from the amber and spiciness from the myrrh, but this would smell better on a man.

    Dragon's Musk

Wow, in the imp it's very sweet, very musky. On my skin, it's overpoweringly perfumey for the first five minutes. Then it settles into the dragon's blood that I know and love with some deep musks with the cherry sandalwood scent of the dragons blood. I like this but it's not a keeper, it's too heavy and perfumey for my taste.

    Snake Oil

Ew, I do not like Snake Oil. I was terribly dissapointed because I ordered a 5ml unsniffed because vanilla is my absolute favorite note. But the vanilla in Snake Oil is completely overpowered by whatever other notes are in it. It's kind of cloying and sickly sweet and the exotic oils are going crazy on my skin and everything just ends up smelling like B.O. with some sort of perfume over it. Icky, and totally unsexy. I already gave my bottle away.

    Spellbound

In the imp it's a dark, citrusy musk. On my skin the rose really comes out, but it's not like a strong overpowering rose, this rose kind of smells like citrus, orangey or lemony or something. The musk is deep and sensual and the amber is slightly powdery. This is a sexy scent, but not my type, I prefer the lighter ones.

    Twenty-One

Well, I've never had a martini, but I have had gin and tonic, and if you ask me, it smells exactly like gin and tonic with a wedge of lemon. In the imp it's very boozy, the juniper from the gin smells clean and fresh. On my skin it stays pretty true to the imp, and after an hour or so the boozines burns off and leaves a clean, lemony juniper scent. I like it, but wouldn't buy a bottle, my mom likes it even more, so she is going to buy the bottle and use up my imp.

    Phantasm

In the imp this is pure lime! Very refreshing and clean. On skin: pure lime! After about ten minutes the neroli and green tea come out adding depth to the lime. Then comes jasmine which is kinda stanky but doesn't overpower the scent. It kind of reminds me of a more floral Embalming Fluid. Nice, I will use up the imp but not a bottle purchase.

    The Unicorn

In the imp this reminds me of those blue gumballs that I used to get when I was a kid. On my skin it blooms into a wispy white floral, but it smells kind of uninteresting, and nondescript. Five minutes later it is completely gone. I wanted to love the unicorn but oh well, cant love every BPAL blend.

    Aeval

Mmm...light and clean sweet pea, like Juliet with some spicy sage in the background. On skin the musk and tonka emerge blending with the sage and sweet pea making it a sexy, warm and clean scent. This is definetely Juliet's older sister, and bottleworthy.

    Black Lily

Black Lily is a sweet, dark lily, a little spicy and covered in powdery pollen. I'm not registering any of the vanilla scent that others mentioned...just the flowery sweet lily. It's pretty much the same on my skin as it is in the bottle, but after a few hours there is an afterscent that I'm not too fond of, kind of like a rusty smell. But overall I like this, I would like it alot more though without the wierd funky smell that comes out later on.

    Zephyr

Zephyr is one of my favorites. In the bottle it's very lemony, but more of a dessert type lemon...like lemon bars or lemon custard with an herbal bite. On the skin the neroli comes out, that was the herbal that I smelled. The white sandalwood comes out after that, with the florals (can't really distinguish what said florals are though, it's more like the thought of florals instead of actual florals if that makes any sense). The vanilla and the musk really bind this scent together and turn it into something very delicious. This is a very fresh white fragrance, perfect for those early days of spring.

    Obatala

Mmmmm....this is the best coconut I have ever smelled in a scent. Not horribly sweet like a lot of coconut blends, but a freshly cracked open coconut with some milk poured over it. The milk in this blend is not terribly prominent though. I smell something fresh and kind of green in this, that must be the shea. The aquatic in this is very subtle, you can barely smell it, but it's there adding freshness to the coconut and shea. I love this scent! It reminds me of sitting on the beach eating a coconut popsicle and rubbing shea butter onto my skin. Will definetly buy more of this!

    Nuit

You know what's wierd, is when I first bought this I couldn't stand it. All that I could smell was super amped up rose, and my skin did not like it. But it's been like a year now, and the scent aged very gracefully. First and foremost I get rose still, but it's not as strong as it was before, it's a gentle white rose covered in evening dew. I also smell a bit of jasmine, but oddly enough it's tame and doesn't overpower anything or smell like a powdery diaper. The musk adds a creamy base to this scent however it is not very prominent. I can't really smell the moonflower or mosses, but after a while the smokiness of the incense comes out and adds depth to the florals. This is a womanly, beautiful floral. While it's not my signature scent, I will use up the bottle. Oh and it doess help me sleep. It's a relaxing and calming blend, very good mixed with Sleepy Moon.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

In the bottle: a sweet, candylike scent, mainly sweet pea and vanilla. This is a different sweet pea than Juliet or Aeval though. On skin: strong sweet pea, super strong amber. The amber and sweet pea take over the scent and I can't smell my beloved vanilla anymore. After a while the sweet pea fades into the background, mixing with everything, the vanilla comes out more and entwines itself with the amber. Later on the sandalwood comes out and adds an interesting woody twist to this girly, pretty scent. I like it a lot, but I was hoping to get more vanilla out of this.

    Dreamland

In the bottle: soapy clean floral, almost aquatic, but not quite. On skin wet: a little masculine, and I could swear that I smell mint in it but not quite. Drydown: smells like gardenias, sorta like The Lady of Shallot. Kinda nodescript generic floral on me. Oh well!

    Spirits of the Dead

In the bottle and on skin: citrus, overwhelming lime or orange...reminds me of phantasm a lot. Dry: tea with lemon. It's ok, but a little sharp. It just smells too similar to GC scents, like embalming fluid, phantasm; etc.

    The City in the Sea

The soapiest aquatic I've ever smelled, both in the bottle and my skin! All it smells like to me is Irish Spring. That's all I get, I can't even pick out the individual notes.

    Halôa

In the bottle: Mmmmmmmmm! Sweet honeycakes! Smells so good I want to drink it! It's sweet and creamy. On the skin: the sweet cakey smell went away the instant this oil touched my skin. All I was left with was the slightly spicy, herbal scent of the olive leaf, and the resiny scent of the frankincense. Verdict: not my cuppa.

    Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo

Smells like bubble gum with anise. Doesn't smell great on my skin, but it worked it's voodoo and made me happier so I guess that's what counts, eh?

    Sundew

In the bottle: very strong, sunny floral. It does remind me of Sunflowers perfume (do they still make that?). I can smell all sorts of yellow flowers, daffodils, sunflowers, buttercups, daisies, maybe a hint of woodiness to temper the florals. It really is a nice fragrance, however on my skin something goes wrong. There is an undercurrent of cat piss, and that's really not what I want in a perfume. Damn it I bought a whole bottle of this, now I have to swap it. Oh yeah, the throw is strong, and it lasts forever.

    Asphodel

In the imp: smells grassy and sweet. Reminds me of something from when I was a kid, but I can't quite place it. On skin: some familiar floral comes out, along with the grassy scent. I can't place what it is, and it's driving me crazy! After about an hour or so the original scent goes away and I'm left with a powdery daffodil type scent. All in all, this scent is very pretty, I like it the most during the grassy stage, but the daffodil stage is quite lovely too and I am considering purchasing a bottle for springtime use.

    Carnivàle

In the bottle sweet cloying berries and musk. On the skin spicy carnation and berries. After a while it fades down to a powdery carnation and ambery musk. I think it makes me smell like a candle shop, or an arts and crafts store, but one guy told me he liked the way I smelled.....
