  1. This is from a decant of the 07 blend:

In the bottle: A wonderfully complex smell, but I was almost afraid that it wouldn't work on me. I was picking up a bit too much incense, and I don't tend to like to wear scents that smell like I've just walked into a New Age bookstore.

On me, however? It's made it to my favorites list very, very quickly.

It's a very, very complex scent, with no particular note controlling at any one time. From wet through dry-down, it's warm and deep. While I would love to be able to specify specific notes (I usually can recognize at least a strong top note and a strong base note) - on me, this doesn't ever really settle into anything in particular. And yet it's not constantly morphing. When I read the description, I can tell there's vanilla and amber and sandalwood and musk under honey and florals, but nothing dominates. They just blend.

This one loves my skin chemistry with only one exception - it disappears far too quickly.

I'll be buying a 5ml before it goes discontinued.

  2. Ugh... this smells like horrible plug-in air fresheners. Ick. It's got that cheap, plasticky, gel scent that those plug-ins have when they run out of whatever scent they're supposed to smell like. Not good at all....

Bingo!!! A friend and I have been sitting here trying to figure out what it smelled like (neither of us liked it - it'll be going in my swap box), but couldn't quite nail it. I kept coming up with cheap perfumed hotel soap - but you nailed it.

I'm glad there are a lot of folks out there who love it!

  3. Curses! I didn't see this thread before I placed my order through CCNow in December! :P I sure wish I had. Live and learn I guess.

So, so sorry BPAL. I'll use PayPal in the future. :D

I just did exactly the same thing - and then tripped over this thread. The CCNow fees are outrageous - I'll definitely be ordering via PayPal in the future. *headdesk*

Wish I hadn't missed it. Bah.
