  1. Dude, I don't know what this smells like but I smell DELICIOUS. In a sweet way, but not necessarily all foodie. Hmm. No licorice. Frenchy and sophisticated and sweet. Mostly the cookie, I guess. Maybe a hint of what is supposed to be coal. No leather. I'm sad that I don't smell like coal and licorice in leather, but at least I smell very tasty.

Update: Saw it being offered as a 2013 Yule and jumped on that like nobodies business. 2013 version is still awesome, a foodie scent for those that don't like foodie scents. <3 The licorice note that had dissipated in my 2008 imp is lightly here, as well as a strong leather backing note melding with the slightly less strong but still delish gaufrette. LOVE THIS.

  2. Still cute, though I think I put too much on. The patchouli sticks close to the skin, but smells really dark, which I love. There is a cloud around me of sweet (almost too sweet) coconut candy. I'm guessing that's the benzoin. Fun. :)

  3. The fact that this is amber and doesn't make me smell terrible is astounding to me!

Delicious. Nom nom. On me this is mostly musk, not amber. Musk with hints of sandalwood and cinnamon. Don't get the patchouli. Sweet. A bit too much. I'll probably layer it with something drier. Nice though. Kinda slinky and warm.

  4. Delicious, woody, amazingly true to life (more so than the rosemary oil I have) Rosemary, with something sharp behind it, then segues immediately into cheap potpourri. Strong, cheap-ass potpourri. Wah.

    Chemistry, it is fickle.

  5. I think at this point I am certain that I really dislike frankincense. No cinnamon, maybe violet but I can't tell. It's interesting, but not me. Not sweet, but perfumed and a bit soapy. Grandiose. Heachache inducing. I'm sure it will be fabulous on someone else.

  6. Nah, doesn't work. Goes on strrrrong, almost overpowering. It settles down a bit, but the spices have a note I don't like and they are hella dry/dusty, in a breathing dust into your face and coughing and hacking. The spices fade a bit and the sweet and vanilla poke out, but then it's more like a "sexy" scent for someone a bit older than me. My roommate loves this on herself, my coworker said it (on me) reminded her of babies.

  7. Wet- almond for one second and then ROSE! ugh. hope it mellows. Agh! It's gotten worse! It's like being beaten with a rose covered in baby powder! I think something else floral pops up for a bit. No on the nutmeg, clove, or orange. NOT ME.

  8. Oddly sweet and musky, a little feral, almost borderline too much. (Too much what? I'm not exactly sure) It's nice though, if odd. I think I smell some spices too. Very gender neutral. It's a keeper. I like civet when it plays nice!

  9. I get how some people would like this, but it's so not me. All girl. I'm actually hoping (and betting) that it does not smell the way it does on me remotely like it does on other people. Mostly amber, which in my case smells old, a bit rancid, super powdery and perfumed. Oh amber, I hate you.

  10. Agh! Wet is all strong peach potporri of gross. It does an about face and fades to a sophisticated vanilla-y girly perfume with some sandelwood. I am not the girly type, but it does smells nice.

  11. This is pretty, but not me. Roses and a bit of veviter, then just roses and other flowers, warm, soft and powdery. My coworker thinks it smells old lady. It's warmly floral, and does make me think desert evening. The veviter disappears pretty quickly, which is a shame.

  12. Wet it's all cheap red wine with a bit of dirt. Drying it was dirt with some spice and sweetness. However, it smelled enough like Jazz Funeral (which I prefer) that I don't think I need to hold on to my imp.

  13. Powdery patchouli. Not necessarily bad, but very powdery in a non spectacular way. It eventually got a little sweeter and more interesting (is that the myrrh I'm picking up? Definitely no clove), but not spectacular.

  14. I wish smoke worked on me! This starts a bit soapy, goes to sweet and a bit metallic. Smells like a men's soap but not like cologne. Sweet, exotic, incense, a bit of veviter. Smelled very "chemical" on me.

  15. This was one I tried on my search for the perfect not sweet cinnamon. This was not it, unfortunately. Wet it's almond, then it gets all big red gum with a hint of something else under it (the neroli?). Quite a bit too sweet.

  16. First all veviter, then it calms down and smells warm and a bit powdery.(the cedar?) Having trouble picking out the patchouli, and I get no cinnamon at all. Smells kind of like dirt, but not it a bad way. Unfortunately, although it smells nice up close to my nose, the waft of it smells weird and perfumed. Oh well.

  17. This was warm with a lot of veviter, a bit of smoke, but ultimately too heavy and with a harsh perfume undertone. Something in it doesn't work with me. Unfortunately for me, my roommate tried this on and on her it was a delicious campfire smell. Drat for me.

  18. This was such a bad choice for my chemistry. Dragon's blood smells like cheap cherry soap on me. Amber smells like ass. Together, they are not pleasant. That said, this was warm, and girly, and vaguely perfumed, just a combination of notes that don't work at all on me.
