  1. I ordered an imp of Snake Oil with my first order, because it's SNAKE OIL, you practically have to try it, right?

I just got around to seriously trying it for the first time (I've had it for a couple of weeks) and I am distressed.

I don't have enough noses to shove my wrist under and say "See?! See?! This is why I wear BPAL!"

    My family is so unappreciative.

Okay, back to the scent- at first it's very strange and sort of harsh, not very nice at all, but it quickly mellows out to a vanilla-with-spices, but not a light vanilla, a dark one. I love the colour of the oil, by the way, and the way it actually shows up on my skin. It's really cool. Anyways, I am addicted to this smell. It fills me with so much glee that I think I can't wear it very often just so that my brain doesn't overload and die.

    Mmmmm, love.

  2. Ia! Ia! I smell like a dryer sheet!

No, seriously, I smell exactly like a dryer sheet. I put some of this on my Cthulhu plushie, and now he, too, smells like fabric softener. It's nice if I want to smell clean, but I think I like Sea Of Glass a little better as my clean-smelling perfume. I'm going to send this one off to someone else.

  3. I've been so excited for the Perilous Parlour that I had to put it on almost as soon as I got it.

In the bottle, it's very sweet but quite faint- pear and vanilla perfectly mixed and gorgeous. Even if it didn't work on me, I would keep it so that I could smell the bottle every time I feel down. It's delicious.

On, it's definitely pear at first, fading to a sweetly sort of plastic tang that I honestly don't mind. Then the vanilla starts to come out, but it's a little spicy, strangely. I've only been wearing it about half an hour but I will update if it changes. So far, so very, very good.

  4. I loved this one in the imp- it smelled like honey and myrrh and I really liked how strong it was and how mature it smelled.

On me, it went rotten. I smelled like fermented honey. I was terribly disappointed.

Then I took a shower and it didn't go away. I washed and scrubbed my wrist and it didn't leave- very strange. It did smell better afterwards, though, more of the myrrh and less of the honey. Then I accidentally put some All Souls on it and the blend smelled really, really good.

  5. When I opened my imp of this, it smelled sort of chemical and harsh- I was hesitant to try it on, and when I did it kept smelling like that for a good half hour.

Then it faded into tart but sweet cherries. I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist.

It lasted a long time, too- at five o'clock in the morning, I woke up and sniffed my wrist to see if it was still there and it had morphed into pure chocolate.

I didn't like it at first, but now it's addictive and I need the bottle!
