  1. Eternal desire, unquenchable passion: red musk, cocoa absolute, Nepalese amber, red sandalwood, aged patchouli, nicotiana, and blood wine.

    First sniff: Sweet, light chocolate.

Wet: All I can think to describe it is "cherry cola." It sort of reminds me of Dr. Pepper, only sweeter. Incredible throw.

Drydown: Much softer, but still very sweet. I can smell the chocolate again and what I think must be sandalwood.

I really like this, but I'm not sure if it's really me. It might just take some getting used to.

  2. When sniffed from the imp, this reminded me of cherry-flavored cough syrup. Not the best first impression. But on, it smells just like candy. After a few minutes I can smell the wood, but the candy is still at the forefront. I don't really think of cherries when I'm wearing this, just candy. And now my sweet tooth is aching.

  3. In the imp, this was very fruity and I could pick out the red wine easily enough. On my skin, it just didn't work. I couldn't tell what exactly I was smelling, but it wasn't pleasant and it vaguely reminded me of something burning. After a couple of hours it's faded to powdery florals. I'm afraid I won't be keeping this one.

  4. Undertow is extremely sweet with some underlying mint. It's a very green scent. It makes me think "dark and murky," but not necessarily aquatic. I don't believe I'll be wearing this again, unfortunately, as it's given me a headache. :P I had high expectations but, sadly, it's just not for me.

  5. I really, really wanted to like this. At first all I could detect was wood ... and patchouli, so strong that my eyes began to water. After some time it's died down, and now I catch a whiff of something nutty, presumably the hazelnut, and it's getting sweeter. This isn't remotely fruity on me, just sickly sweet. Perhaps it'll grow on me, but right now I can't imagine wearing this again. :P

  6. When first applied, all I get is butterscotch. Pure, sweet butterscotch. After a minute the rum comes through and it becomes a very strong, boozy scent. I can actually feel an ache stirring in the back of my head now which, though not something I'm thrilled about, adds to the effect, I suppose.

  7. I could definitely smell patchouli and orange blossom when I applied this, but it quickly faded to patchouli and baby powder. It's nice, though. I prefer it once I've been wearing it for a while, but I'm a fan of powdery scents.

  8. At first this was far too minty for my taste, but after a while the mint faded and it became much more pleasant. I'm not familiar with most of the notes so I don't know what I'm smelling exactly, though I can detect a hint of lemon.

Not something I'd wear often, but I'll hang onto the imp for days when I'm lounging about the house.

  9. I received a frimp of Salomé with my last order, and it really surprised me. This isn't something I would have thought to pick out for myself.

I think I smell jasmine more than anything else in this. It's very spicy and green. There's something in the background, perhaps the oakmoss, that reminds me of dirt. My mother got a whiff and thought she could smell patchouli. But the jasmine rides to the top and stays strong until the scent fades altogether. This is very perfumey, as well, more so than the other oils I've tried. And as someone who loves almond scents, I never noticed any almond in Salomé.

I'm on the fence about this one, but right now I'm enjoying it.

  10. The scent of Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls.

This smelled very creamy in the imp but morphed drastically once on my skin. In a way I find it comforting. It stirs up images of musty old houses, antiques, libraries full of ancient books; stale coffee and dust. I like it, but not enough to wear, I'm afraid. I believe it would make a wonderful room fragrance.

  11. I can immediately smell almond and what I think is cherry. I prefer the scent after it's begun to fade, actually. It reminds me of baby powder which is comforting to me. Oh! And my mother got a raise after wearing this to work one day. Let's see if it will help me, lol.

  12. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I was expecting something completely different. The musk is most noticeable on me, with the iris and coconut creeping through. I don't smell hazelnut, sadly. If I continue sniffing myself I worry I may get tipsy. It makes me think of sipping drinks on the beach or on deck during a cruise. Mmmm.

  13. I definitely smell dragon's blood, which I love, but that quickly fades once on my skin. It's very floral and warm, very comforting. I think I smell honeysuckle as well. I've been wearing it for two hours now and it's just beginning to fade.

I suffer from social anxiety and am often paranoid and worrisome. I will have to wear this the next time I leave the house and post an update on its effect. I'm also a writer/artist, so maybe this will inspire me to complete the projects I'm currently behind on, lol.

Overall, I love the scent. I already feel much calmer and my head has cleared. I will be purchasing a big bottle as soon as I can afford it. :P
