  1. Bottle: Peanut butter...oh, I think i'm going to like this....

Wet: Melted salted peanut butter drizzled over caramel popcorn (drool) with a hint of varnished wood (this part is a little off-putting)

Dry: This has no change at all, it is still melted peanut butter drizzled over caramel popcorn and the throws match. Only when I smash my nose to my skin (which I do because it smells wonderful!) do I get that varnish smell. Definitely a keeper!

  2. Bottle: Sweet gardenia and vanilla.

Wet: Gardenia is still the predominant note and the vanilla warms it up. The gardenia is so strong that I can't even get any violet.

Dry: If you like gardenia, this may be the scent for you. It is a strong single-note gardenia musk on me...pure, but too much.

  3. Bottle: Brown sugar oatmeal with warm praline syrup and a dash of cinnamon

Wet: Spicy oatmeal cookies and buttery toffee

Dry: Oh, heavenly warmth. Such a warm and inviting scent, very foody and very heavy (like gorging yourself on freshly baked decadent sweets). It rounds out into a rich butter toffee that I want to bathe in. Lick lick lick lick lick delicious!

  4. To repeat myself from another topic...

Dirty smells so dang good! You devilish geniuses and your blasted frimps! I just added a bottle of this to my "BUY ALL THE BOTTLES!" list

    Bottle: Laundry detergent

Wet: Crisp florals and fabric softener.

Dry: This end up transforming into a soft powdery floral on my. The throws offer an occasional crisp note to it, like...fresh apples? Reminiscent notes of Pomona. Love this!

  5. Bottle: Beautiful floral scent, not to strong

Wet: Light and floral, not cologne-y, spurts of green, but more sweet

Dry: Sadly, my skin ate this up in 5 minutes. I wish it stayed longer, if it did, i'd buy a few bottles.

  6. Bottle: Roses and musk

Wet: Very heavy cologne. One of the unisex scents they used to sell in the 80s...

Dry: Same cologne smell, but much lighter and more bearable. I thought this would be terrible, but it is really nice. Not my taste, but I am definitely keeping this one and using it all. :)

  7. Bottle: Spices and oranges

Wet: It smells like one of those oranges that you stick cloves in. I was very surprised, it is EXACTLY that smell.

Dry: Hell has broken loose and ruined this for me. By hell, I mean my body chemistry. The cumin finally reared its ugly head and killed it for me. Otherwise, this scent is super warm and comforting.

  8. Bottle: Yummy berries! Super sweet, like sticking your hands in a jar of jam and licking your fingers.

Wet: There is another scent that is pushing through the berries. I think it is supposed to be cakey, like a jellyroll.

Dry: Plastic and burnt berry cake crust. My skin chem loves to play tricks on me and start off delicious while slowly creeping into yuck.

  9. Bottle: Roses and carnations

Wet: Turning into a creamy floral, love this!

Dry: It smells like a perfume or bubble bath I used to use. I dont remember what it was, but this is exactly the same scent. It makes me so happy! A non-foody, sweet, creamy, soft floral. It actually begins to turn a little powdery after a while. Perfect for a little girl or for those who need a moment to remember their younger selves.

  10. Bottle: Sweet currants and dry vanilla cake

Wet: This smells heavenly! I want to bite into my own arm! Just like dense vanilla tea cakes and currant jam!

Dry: Oh, the horrors! Something went wrong, I'm desperate to figure out what. I smell like wet band-aids and ointment! Bad body chemistry, bad!

  11. I promised myself I would test every BPAL scent that came my way, death notes or not.

Bottle: Resin and pine, deep and woodsy. Surprisingly nice.

Wet: The fir starts to sour on me and the musk starts to overpower.

Dry: The fir actually evens out to a nice woodsy scent. Very deep and reminiscent of cedar. What spoils it for me is a faint whiff of cumin and other cooking spices. It doesn't smell bad, but mixed together with the fir/cedar scent, it smells weird on me.

  12. Bottle: Deep, earthy, mossy...

Wet: Toasted cloves and cumin, it has a much deeper smell and i'm definitely getting that musk smell.

Dry: Now roasted cloves and cumin, I get that smoky smell from the description. Definitely getting some BO from that musk. I also smell that pine peeking its head with a sour smell because of my body chem.

This scent is essence of troll. Dark, musty, smoky, earthy, troll.

  13. Bottle: Sharp pine and earthy moss, not my taste, but not bad

Wet: Starting to get a sour smell. My body chem hates juniper and since its related to cypress...

    Dry:

    74219.jpg TWANG LEMON-LIME BEER SALT!

I kid you not. I didn't believe it myself and asked others. One of my friends started salivating. :whack:

Worth a shot, it smells quite lovely in the imp. Dang body chemistry!

  14. Bottle: Blueberry jam, brown sugar, and plastic.

Wet: I'm getting strawberry saltwater taffy (the real stuff, not Laffy Taffy) and soft florals.

Dry: Soft strawberry taffy stays! The smell makes my mouth water and my teeth itch to pull on some taffy. Wonderful!

  15. This review is for Beaver'Versary (2008).

    Bottle: Mmmmm, cakey goodness!

Wet: Vanilla cheesecake, heavy on the spices.

Dry: Sadly, this turns plasticky on me. I definitely get cheesecake, but the spicy smell turns it into soft plastic. Every once in a while, I get a pure vanilla cheesecake smell and its wonderful. I wish that my body chemistry didn't do weird things to this!

  16. Bottle: Warm hazelnuts and honey

    Wet: Heavy honey, VERY SWEET

Dry: I cant seem to pick up anything other than honey. It is a beautiful honey though, not the kind from the honey bear bottle. This is honey from a honeycomb chunk, sweet and deep with a bit of earthiness from the wax.

Evokes images of: Classic Winnie the Pooh and the oddly creamy-gold honey he must smell like since he rolls in it all the time. Seriously, why is honey that color in the cartoons? I don't think that color even remotely resembles honey...but it does look good, haha.

  17. Bottle: Boozey goodness!

Wet: Definitely getting the apricots, but the brandy is doing some weird stuff here...

Dry: Figured out what the brandy did, it turned into the oak barrels that it ages in. I drink brandy, but on me, brandy this is not. So all I get is apricot and oak. It makes the fruit end up fake-smelling, like in lotions.

  18. Bottle: Super fizzy Sprite.

Wet: Still very effervescent Sprite. The pepper is strong, but not "punch-you-in-the-face" strong, more like "consistently-applied-pressure" to weaken and even out the citrus.

Dry: Lightly peppered citrus and vanilla cotton candy with undertones of warm milk. Weird sounding combo, but this is absolutely divine! Hours later, it melts into a creamy vanilla.

Evokes images of: Smiles and happiness on a partly-cloudy day. Carefree gallivanting on a shopping district street until the stores close and you seek refuge in a coffee shop as you rifle through the goodies you bought that day.

  19. Bottle: Fresh mangoes and pumpkin spices.

    Wet: Spicy pumpkin yumminess!

Dry: Smooth and creamy chai tea, foamed milk, and wisps of pumpkin spices. It dries down to a beautifully soft milk-tea scent with hints of coconut on the skin and very faint throws of soft overripe mango. It actually fades too fast! :cry2:

Evokes images of: Late autumn, dark and homey coffee shop. Snuggling in a large comfy armchair, sipping on a pumpkin chai latte, and reading by the light of a window.

  20. Bottle: Sweet delicious vanilla cake batter and icing

Wet: Cloyingly sweet...chocolate cherry cordial candy? The chocolate scent is more of a dry and unsweetened cocoa, the cherry is what is really sweet.

Dry: Definitely has staying power! This is not the cake I was expecting, but it smells delicious nonetheless. The sweetness stays and is very thick (I felt like I needed to drink a glass of milk to counter the sweetness). It is a wonderful scent...I just hate Maraschino cherries. 8 hours later, I just get whiffs of the unsweetened cocoa powder, the cherries have gone.

Evokes images of: Bathing in luxurious vanilla cake batter that pours into a cherry cordial ocean where the wind wafts wisps of the chocolate powdery-sand beach your way.

  21. Bottle: Pure fizz, right up my nose.

Wet: Yummy gingerale! I wish I smelled the pumpkin, I am getting none of that.

Dry: Juniper and Alka-Seltzer. The good news is that I finally found something that I amp...bad news is that it is juniper. To be honest, I smell more like a Hairspray cocktail. (Gin + Sprite + Lemon twist = Hairspray). I bought this in hopes of a sweet pumpkin soda, but it turns out that I amp juniper like a rock star.

Evokes images of: Spilling a Hairspray cocktail on myself and chewing on an Alka-Seltzer tablet...damn tragedy. :(

  22. Bottle: Roses

Wet: Roses with a hint of chocolate?

Dry: The wisps of chocolate have dissipated. The rose smell dominates the scent, but not your nose and ends up like sort of powdery.

Evokes images of: A shabby chic room with white bead board walls and rose petals everywhere. There is a worn white canopy bed with a rose-design bedspread and lace frills around the pillows. Numerous vases have been filled with fresh roses and the sun is beaming through an open window and reflecting the brightness of the room.

  23. Bottle: Sharp chamomile and strong vanilla

Wet: Creamy fruit (light bananas?) and vanilla

Dry: Creamy and warm vanilla. Not foody, but soft, sweet, warm and comforting. Does not last long.

Evokes images of: A fall or winter dusk during a blackout. The room is illuminated with the light yellow glow of vanilla-scented candles. Sitting on the couch and bundled up in down blanket, mindlessly rolling a ball of the warm vanilla wax with your fingers while reading by candlelight.

Note: Tried this again, the smell still disappears after about 10 minutes, then I can only catch it if I smash my nose against my wrist...which I do...with no shame. Oh, how I wish this lasted longer!

  24. I don't know if you're opposed to eBay but it looks like there are quite a few Hollywood Pink bottles/sprays available.

If you definitely want something BPAL, I'm not sure--haven't smelled Hollywood Pink myself :(

I'm iffy on eBay for this one since its been gone for such a long time. My friend bought a lotion from eBay and when tested together, it doesn't smell the same as mine. It may have been environmental since I keep all of my perfumes in a cool, dark place.
