The Host of the Air (2009) is like wet flowers, or cut flowers in the greenhouse, as someone described it in the thread linked here. I get lilies and other sweet strong white flowers from this.
 -
Someone mentioned The Hesperides a while back - I second that, love it, very deep earthy apple.
 -
I like the wood in my old bottle of Lyonesse. Very ship-like, I think. Have to try Mary Read!

Forest & Woods Scents (with and without evergreens)

I love Wolf Moon. Masculine and great, big pine/cedar note. Dee is wonderful too, I agree about walking through the woods to get to the room full of old books - perfect! -
I get leather and teak almost right away, and love it. (I like masculine scents). Throw isn't massive, which is perfect for me.

Devil's Night, and Wolf Moon (separately, not together!) My Devil's Night is 06 I think and has mellowed a lot, but it still has that faint trace of bonfire. -

What BPAL would this fictional character wear?

Ben Gay? Tiger Balm? Ah, just kidding... Western Diamondback sounds like it to me. -
Tamora! And I'm waiting for forum bottles of Anactoria and Angeronalia. And Darkling Thrush is lovely on a rainy spring day.
 -
Ordered a 5ml from the lab - it is LOVELY - peach mostly on me but with the vanilla under. The throw is not too wide and I can wear it to work and on a crowded subway. Got a few compliments too!

I am uplifted by Green Phoenix. Around the past Christmas holiday it was Jolasveinar. -

What about Halôa? Very brioche-y on me. -
	Lyonesse is salty on me...
 -
I third Singing Moon. And one of my faves is Vixen - tobacco flower and ginger, which is nice on me.
 -
Singing Moon is very herbal on me with lots of moss too. Like a witch's cottage in the woods by the sea!

I love the warm gingers in Dana O'Shee and Sudha Segara, and I really love Halôa for comfort. -

General citrus recommendations - and discussion of all things orange

I'd recommend Winter of Our Discontent - bitter orange - strong throw though. (Edited - sorry!) -
Did you already try it? no - just saw the description. My local ice cream place makes cucumber ice cream in the summer - very slightly sweet, very good.u

New GC scent - Squirting Cucumber!

Would you believe I'm bidding on a dress on eBay with a pattern called "snow violet?" How perfect is that! If I win it I'll have just the right BPAL to wear... Edited to add: I love the violet note and the slushy snow note together. Perfect for March's rainy or snowy days. It doesn't go soapy on me, but man do I amp the violet! (and I won the dress!)

I second Halôa - and the Yule LE Jolasveinar too. -
Jolasveinar for Christmas Eve and Haloa for Christmas Day. Jolasveinar makes me giggle when I think of "pilfered Christmas pastries" - and Haloa (how do you make the circumflex in BB code?) reminds me of marathon holiday baking sessions, feasting and laughing.

Alone in the forest. Why do I keep thinking of Little Red Riding Hood (the Angela Carter film The Company of Wolves comes to mind)? All the better to eat you with ...
