  1. I don't ever write reviews because I'm just not as good as these other women on the forum who's reviews are just wonderful! And for these, I am very grateful! :wub2: But, the absolute beauty of Gossamer has driven me to make a fool of my self and write my first review.

    "Oh Gossamer.....I love you." :thud:

    *Ahem* On wards.

    From the tinsy little amount I have, I agree with most everyone here in that this is definately a white floral scent. As yeahbutnobut and edenssixthday has mentioned, I also find Gossamer to be a lily scent. But more specifically, it is a Lilly-of-the-Valley scent. (I am so sure that it has Lilly-of-the-Valley in it, that I'm almost willing to place bets.) Perhaps, some moonflower, and I think vanilla musk (just a wee touch) in here too. I don't find any lilac in it, that others have found (my skin amps lilac). I don't find Gossamer to be soapy, sharp, or astringent in the least.

    This really needs a catagory of its own but if I had to, I'd put it in with The Ghost or Veil. Not really the same scent but more of that kind of feel or atmosphere. It certainly has more staying power than these. It is ethereal, light, and flowing. Like fairies dancing on a swirling breeze of floral petals. Dark Alice is right, angels must bathe in this. Gossamer is the very definition of beauty.

    "Ok now, Gossamer?" "Will you come to me now?" *sighs*

  2. The Salon's "Garden Path with Chickens" is a delightful fresh dandelion and clover greenery scent. Its very fresh, dewey and crisp and shares many of the same notes as "One to Tie, Two to Win" which is my absolute favorite BPAL ever.

    Dandelion and clover happen to be some of my favorite scents (I don't have many). The suggestions of "One to Tie, Two to Win", "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love", and "Garden Path with Chickens" are definitely excellent suggestions (all these are in my top 10 favorite).

    Another LE that I love and, that you might want to try :

    "The School House" -Dandelion, white clover, balsam fir logs, and birchwood switches.

  3. Just a note to others looking for Lily of the Valley. Came across a couple others in my search.

    Apparently NOIR, has lily of the valley listed first in its scent description. SPECTRE also has it in its description too. And just my luck, these are SO easily available! :rolleyes:

  4. Hmm.. Well, unfortunately I don't get any green, or herbal notes. Too bad, that is precisely what I was looking for.

    However, what I do get from the begining is a sort of a musty and faintly sweet scent. Not really somthing I would wear normally but I thought I would give it a go. It seemed to morph into a type of incense note that really didn't agree with me and then became more violent as time went on....

    House of Night-----> :P <------poor me

    Whoa, what the heck is in this?

    I think Salsa Shark may be right, that there is some patchoulli in this. Ive stayed away from patchoulli for so long (because of the violent headaches) that I have forgotten what it smelled like.

    Darn, Im gonna have to be more careful.
