i am waiting on an answer to my 05-23 order and havent rec. a reply yet i e-mailed about 3-4 days ago. and i am a little worried because i called cc/now and they said my order stills says "awaiting shipment' and they have the right to cancel the order if it isnt shipped in 30 days or less they  said they would e-mail the lab  but i dont know,i also have an order from 05-28 and a few from early june i wish i could  use pay pal , i dont mind waiting 2 months if i have to, but not  knowing what is going on is starting to get to me, i know the lab said they were shipped through 05-28 but cc/now tells me mine werent even picked up, oh well  that might just be  for the best as i know i  shouldnt  be placing all these orders as my husband and i dont really have the extra money  to spend on these kind of luxeries  N.Y.state disability thinks $ 590.00 a month is enough to live on, yeah right, that is about what they get for rent  for a one bedroom apt. in this area! i really need to save some money and go to the dentist as i am in a lot of pain and medicaid doesnt pay for root canals which i need, so i am taking this as a sign!just ignore this as i just needed to get this off my chest before i freak and i have noone else to talk to and my husband dosent want to hear anything unless it is about his N.Y. YANKEES!

Paypal doesn't actually make life any easier from an information point of view: the 2 latest orders I've placed have just been a case of sending the money via paypal with the actual order details in the comment field. Apart from the email from paypal themselves, I have no way of knowing if this has been received by the Lab, and they don't seem to be sending out confirmation of shipping emails.

(Sorry if this comes across as critical, Lab People, I know you're all very busy right now with Nella away. I guess you get very frustrated at people like me asking for confirmations of shipping and whatnot. I just wish there was an easy way of letting people know what was going on with their orders. I know there isn't right now, and I'm still ordering stuff, so it's my own fault I'm impatient I guess...)

I'm going to shut up now!

Is the lab experiencing email problems at the moment?

I know that it was mentioned that it might take a day or two to get a reply, but I mailed on the 16th (last Wednesday) and I've not heard anything. If the rest of you are experiencing the same kind of lag in email replies, I won't worry, but if it's just me I should resend.

I'm a bit anxious as it's concerning an order that should have shipped on June 5th according to Nella, and it's not turned up...

I think it might just be my chemistry, but Villain turned completely seasidey on me: not a trace of any of the listed ingredients, just lots of sea, sunshine and sand.

When did you place your order?

Um... it's actually not an "order", per se. A 5mL of Veil had been accidentally left off of a previous (April?) order, and it's just been hanging around in limbo. I have pending orders for May 26 and June 2, and I just assumed it would be tacked onto one of them. Thus, I was very surprised and excited to receive today's package.

 

I got my 5mL of Veil, plus imps of The Unicorn, The Hesperides, Alecto, Hellfire and Magdalene. This is exactly what it must feel like to win the lottery. I have already begun a sweet and innocent tryste with The Unicorn.

I didn't even know that you let people add on to orders.  I can see why the lab might decide to combine orders if they see that the same person has more than one order in the same time period, but I don't think they should have to allow add-ons.

This is the problem with the tension between running a corporate business (rules, policies) and a still-professional but friendly one. I guess many of us viewed our dealings with the Lab as part transaction, part a discussion with friends. While the professional thing to do would of course be to place another order, the people at the lab are so approachable that it doesn't seem wrong to just mail and say 'By the way, can I just add...'

I shan't do that in future though.

Have you considered having Beth do a custom blend for your wedding? I know someone else mentioned that in another thread, but it might be a really special way to remember the day - every time you smelled it, you would be transported to your woodland fairy celebration!

I think that was me I'm hoping to get a custom scent done for the day... it's not going to be for a while, so I can save up

My 5ml bottles are: 2" x 13/16" (5cm x 2cm) These are the new 5ml bottles.

 

10ml bottle is:  2½" x 1"  (5.4cm x 2.5cm)

 

That's as accurate as I can make it.

Have you tried the Personal World Clock? You choose the cities you want to compare and it'll show you the current time in each of them.

Sooo.... what're the chances of joining The Blue Moon Club, such that one can pay a certain amount of dollars upfront and get the Blue Moon of the Month imp without ordering during the window?  Kinda like ordering the 7 Deadly Sins?  You know, for those of us with nosy husbands or forgetful noodles?

I think it's in the pipeline: from the Shiny and New text for the June 1st update.

Eventually we will also be offering pre-packaged sample sets as well, and we will be instituting a program in which you can automatically purchase samples of the new scents as they become available.

This scent will only be available during that 12 hour window, and will not come around til the next Blue Moon.

They will be in the Limited Edition section for exactly 12 hours on the day of the full moon [noon til midnight] and will feature a scent dedicated to the next month's full moon's theme. Time will be calculated PST. The schedule for the remainder of 2004 is as follows:

 

Red Moon [August] available July 2nd AND July 31st [see notes at the bottom of this post]

Harvest Moon [september] available August 29th

Hunter Moon [October] available September 28th

Frost Moon [November] available October 27th

Cold Moon [December] available November 26th

Wolf Moon [January] available December 26th

What a very lovely idea! I'd already been looking forward to the blue moon, and now my head is spinning at the concept of yet more limited editions!

A few questions: sorry to be pedantic about details

Like the other limited editions, will the scents be available in 5ml and 10ml quantities, but not as Imps? Standard prices?

Will a Paypal order sent to the new address or a CCNow order within the 12 hour window be sufficient to ensure one gets that oil, or do you need a special 'It's not 12 hours yet so I claim my oil, I'll Paypal you in a minute' email to reserve one?

And a query for anyone else, not just Beth / Lab Bods:

I've been trying to translate between UK time and BPAL-world time. Does this look about right to you?
