  1. Thirteen (13) in the bottle smells kind of like white chocolate mixed with Gran Marnier (sp?). On me dried down it smells mostly like white chocolate, but with a hint of something that might be the currant. It's nice. It seems like a nice fall and winter scent to me.

  2. In the bottle I wasn't quite sure what I was smelling until I read the description for imp on the website --- it just smelled kind of spicy sweet to me at first, until I was able to identify the amber scent in there. Now that it has dried on my skin it smells like sweet amber. I can smell the peach just barely underneath, but it mostly just sweetens up the amber scent. Not an everyday kind of scent for me, but I do like it.

  3. Yep, the first two scents listed are black cherry and patchouli. They really do mean that. When I first opened the imp that is pretty much *all* I smelled. And when I first put it on. Which made me go, "Uh oh." After a bit (like an hour) it settled down into a nice patchouli with.....something --- it could have been cardamom. I see from Answers.com that cassis is a type of currant. That explains the almost lethal mega-cherry at the beginning. Do I actually like it? I...don't...know.

  4. In the bottle it smelled lemony minty. Wet on me, it smelled mostly lemony, with a touch of herbal. At first it kind of reminded me of that Jean Nate stuff from the 80s, but less Pledge-ish than that. Now that it has dried and settled down, it smells like an herbal orange. Nice, but I think I will stick with the imp. It would make a nice room scent or sachet though --- hmmmm......

  5. This one smelled really (almost too) sweet in the bottle and when I first put it on. Once it dried though, it smelled like a honeyed rose. Later picked up on the ylang ylang more and something that smelled like a really clean, uncloying jasmine --- maybe that is the apple blossom? Several hours after putting it on, it is just a really sweet skin smell on me, if that makes any sense at all. Quite yummy.

Ummmm...so far wet the smell is reminding me of that old Alberto VO5 stuff from the 70s. Okay, wait, now that it has dried a bit it has settled down and smells WAY better. Yep, muscadine and incense. I might be more likely to use this as a room scent. It's a little overpowering on me to wear, I think. Maybe. A little definitely goes a long way. Others have said this smells like incense shops, etc., to them, and I have to agree. I like it.

  7. This one smells basically like what it contains: blackberry and heather. In the bottle and wet, the blackberry seems to come out more. Once it dries, the heather comes out more strongly to make it a yummy fruity floral. I apparently love the fruity floral scents because this one and Persephone are two of my favorite BPAL scents, with Glasgow being a bit less "Ta-da, smell me, smell me!" than Persephone. I have been wearing it quite often lately and I am going to have to invest in a bottle because my imp is over half empty.

  8. This stuff is awesome! In the bottle it smells warm and spicy. Some earlier reviewers said it was an innocent scent. On me it was a subtly sexy smell of spiced vanilla. Hubby had an uber-frisky reaction to it, without a doubt!

  9. This one was strong moonflower (at least, I *think* it is moonflower) at first when still wet. Once it dried, it became more rose-ish. It's not old-lady rose --- it's more slighly spicy rose. I see a tendency for me to like the rose scents from BPAL, and this one is no exception.

  10. I smell really dense, heavy florals in this one when it is in the bottle. As soon as I put it on me it's like, *hello*, gardenia! This one was a freebie, which I really appreciate, but I am going to have to pass on to someone else because it doesn't smell good on me --- I'm going to blame the gardenia, which just doesn't suit me at all, apparently. I could totally see this one smelling good on someone else though.

  11. On me Siren smells like sweet patchouli with something horribly wrong with it. The ginger and apricot are shouting at each other. Instead of luring anyone, they would run screaming away from me. To be honest, I didn't even like the way it smelled in the bottle, so this one is apparently just not to my taste.

  12. Oooohhh, I love this one! In the bottle and wet I smelled the cypress the most strongly, followed by the juniper. Now that it has dried, it smells like a somehow edgy rose. It's totally great! :-D Oh yeah, I need a big bottle of this one.

  13. This one is one of my favorites! The previous reviewer described it in the bottle as a "tart, fruity rose," and I find that description to be very apt for describing how it smells on my skin. I have almost used up my imp and I will be buying a full bottle of this one.

  14. I think I must just hate gardenia --- or at least hate gardenia on me. This one smelled good in the bottle (maybe more sandalwood and lilac?), but on me it is very strong and kind of nasty and headache-inducing. Maybe it will smell better on someone else.

  15. I realize that Crossroads' description specifically mentions earth, and that could work, but on me it is the *main* smell. So I smell like dirt. And quite a bit like an actual zombie kitty might. This is not a good thing --- though it could be quite effective as an olfactory addition to a zombie costume for Halloween. Hmmmmm....

  16. I really wanted to like this one because of the vanilla and the jasmine, but one me this one has a kind of funky smell that I suspect is due to the gardenia, which apparently I despise the smell of, so naturally it is the one that becomes overwhelming on me.

  17. I really like this one. Okay, I really suck at distinguishing the different scents from one another, but I love the combined effect of the lavender, jasmine, and honeysuckle. On me it's a light and flowery scent that is nice and not at all overpowering. After wearing it for a while, the scent that comes to the forefront is what I believe is the lavender, but it seems tempered and made sweeter and gentler a bit by the other scents. I have worn this one a couple of times for date night with my husband. Right now I only have an imp of this one, but I intend to get a whole bottle when I order next!
