  1. This is surprisingly lovely! I'm not usually big on fruit (or patchouli for that matter) but I really wanted to try it anyway.

It's so autumnal! Everything blends so well. Overall, it mostly smells of spiced apple cider. Quite alcoholic! But when it softens the pine and patchouli come out a bit.

    Delicious and seasonal smelling!

(though I feel it has a much bigger throw than most of the bpals I usually wear, as when I walked in the room my bf said, "you stink of cinnamon!", and he rarely comments on any perfume I wear, lol.)

update: yep, this is REALLY strong. Don't need to wear much at all. It's softened into a really beautiful scent, though. Will definitely wear through autumn and winter. So cosy!

  2. That's strange, it's spelled Przeczucie on my bottle.

I LOVE this one! Strangely, the smoke was so strong when wet - it really reminded me of old church incense - but that soon faded and the fresh pine took over for a while, but then was softened by smoke in the background again. As time passed the smoke became more and more prominent.

This smells so Christmassy to me, I love it. Not exactly Halloween though, lol.

  3. Realised I hadn't left a review!

I LOVE this scent - my friend gave me an imp of it when I was disappointed in another violet scent I had tried. Nocturne was exactly what I was hoping for and I ordered a big bottle immediately. It's very beautiful and dreamy, the violet is definitely strongest on me, but the lilac and tuberose add a lovely layer. It's not too sweet either, just so pretty and floral.

Definitely recommend for anyone who loves violets (but wants to avoid sugar violets like me)

  4. Eh, I was really looking forward to this scent because I love violets, but this basically does what Bread and Butterfly did - turns into strong burnt sugar. After a while I kind of get some violet from underneath, but it's not enough to save it.

Not sure what note it is that causes it (is it sugar from sugared violets? or something else?) but it's incredibly overpowering.

Will probably have to sell my bottle of this. :(

  5. Ahh, I see, thanks. That seems crazy! I wouldn't mind so much if it was really speedy, but it still took 10 days to arrive. Express international from here is a lot cheaper and a lot faster (3-4 days) so I was just taken aback.

Also, the tracking seems kind of pointless when it doesn't seem to track beyond the US? Even though my order arrived safely in Japan, the tracking still says "in transit" and the last noted destination is LA, haha. Is that normal?

Anyway, thanks for the replies! I'll just have to wait longer between orders

  6. I love this way more than I expected to! In the imp, I thought it smelled fairly generic

Fresh on it smells lovely and soft and violety. Quite plant-like and green! Just the right amount of sweetness for me.

As it dries I find it smells more and more like Guerlain's Champs Elysees (which is a favourite of mine) except a bit softer. Beautiful! Think I want a big bottle of this :)

  7. Surprised at people saying this is light. It smelled fairly innocuous and floral in the imp, but fresh on I find it INCREDIBLY sweet. Sweet to the point where I can't smell anything other than that "candy-like" scent that Lush does. Awful.

As it dries some of the flower notes come out, and when I catch them they smell really lovely, but it's still overpoweringly candy-like.

Eventually it settles into something pleasantly floral. I like the final result, but won't wear just because of the first couple of hours.

  8. Overall: pleasant!

The imp smells very strongly of cherry. When I first put it on it was nicely floral and very pretty. After a while I could smell nothing but cherries, though, and then it disappeared quickly.

A bit too much cherry for me, despite the description saying "a drop". Nice enough, but not one I'll keep wearing.

  9. This is one I really wanted to like - but even just sniffing the imp it smells awful to me - way too sweet, and it's possibly the bread, but there's something unpleasant in there.

My feelings about it didn't change when I put it on - fresh, it smells pretty much like the imp.

It improved after an hour or two as it got fainter, but it was still so sickly to me, and eventually I washed it off.

I love the idea of it (much like I love the Bread-and-Butterflies in Alice) but in practice it's definitely not something I want on me. Overpoweringly sweet, I don't get any tea from it, and sadly it's just not for me.
