A blend that contains roses that I can wear! I get kind of a close to the skin vanilla, a little floral, but really pleasant. I don't know that I need more than my decant, but it's really nice to wear.

I just got my 4 bottles of Vanilla-y Chaos To my nose, I get:
#238 - After I got over the *OMG get it away* smell in the bottle, on my skin it's nicely smokey and gingerbready. No discernable vanilla. My favorite of the bunch. I'm glad I skin tested it!
#242 - Gingerbread and black pepper, with a small vanilla background
#255 - A heavy something (wood?)(rind?) with brighter almost candy sweet trying to peek out.
#256 - Vanilla and strawberries, straight up.
-
Disclaimer: I'm horrible at picking out notes.
DV - A fresh clean rose and honeysuckle
DCLIII - A heavy incensy spice, with a slight zing through it
DLXXII - I have no idea. none. It's close to licorice, but it's not. It is also not a floral. Or fruit. Minty not-licorice?
DLXXIII - Smokey minty fruit?
And the only one I'm keeping:
DXIX - Very similar to DCLIII. Smokey incense, spice but there's a softer floral note in there. This is my favourite of the bunch.

In the imp and wet on my skin, this smells like being in the Lurray Caverns. Minerally, wet dripping rocks. I admit to a certain dubiousness. Then as it dried, it got sweeter. Sort of like finding a small
flower garden underground. I enjoyed this scent alot! It amped like anything on my skin.
A friend said it smelled like some sort of foody rock. Huh.

This starts out a sharp, sweet smell, and settles down quickly into a almost spicey/almost floral(jasmine?a really subdued jasmine? Jasmine smelled through beeswax?) scent. It's also got kind of a heady quality to it. It sticks close to my skin, but seems to last forever. It's been pretty straightforward too. No morphing. I'm glad I got to try this, but it's not for me.

Thanks to GypsyRoseRed and her C13 sniffie circle!
The Unheavenly City starts out creamy and fruity on me, and slowly settles into a sharper berry(?) and musk with cream keeping things under control. It's lovely! But it's kind of heavy on my skin. I'm really glad to have gotten to try it!

This is a lovely pale aquatic on me. As someone else mentioned, it's hard to pin down.
Sometimes I think 'jasmine!' then... 'citris?' then... 'fuzzy! must be jasmine!' It's occasionally
sweet, too. All in all, I really like it.

This is a lovely floral. The pear and lilac seem to be the predominent notes that come forward after drying down. I'm really enjoying this scent, and will probably be getting a bottle of it next order.
-
On my skin, this is a light dusting of cocoa over yummy yummy resins. It sticks very close to my skin.
Edit: I just figured out what this smells like to me... those Bearclaw pastries.
-
On my skin, it's a delightful strong candy-caney mint. It fades quickly so that all I'm getting at noon is an occasional whiff of mint, with very little sugar.
-
Mr. Jacquel is a dry patchouli on application, then that mellows out and the amber comes out to play more on dry down. It keeps switching back and forth between dry and golden. Neat!
-
Bilquis is a bit almondy with an odd bitterness when wet on the skin. The bitterness fades on drydown, but it's still there, and now there's more honey peeking through.
It's interesting, but not a favourite.

Sugar cookies with bay rum, tobacco, and lime.
On my skin, Mr. Nancy is all about a delightfully smokey pancake syrup. The lime pops up now and again, but very faintly. -
On me, this is sugar covered flowers in a room of light incense. I really like it!
-
... A sinister, sinuous incense of summoning, a herald and paean to the Primordial Gods of Darkness, Chaos, Madness and Decay.
Al Azif is now one of my favourites!
On me, it's got a smokey sweetness that is way too strong when it's wet, but it settles into a wonderful scent that lasts the whole day. Great for the fall! -
Yay first review!
Initial impression smelling from the imp: Mmmm. Tea. Sweet earl grey.
Initial impression applied to skin: Ack! Tea! It kind of overwhelmed me, and I felt as if I were
in a haze of Earl Grey.
Once it dried: So very awesome. It settled down to sweet black tea, sweet and almost milky.
I could see myself wearing this to work.

Bottle 1: Starts out as a really nice creamy orange, and slowly morphs into smelling like creamy orange candy heart. Neat!
Bottle 2: Starts out very undefinable to my nose, then as it dries goes towards.. spices?
Not really my thing.2nd day: Actually pretty cool. Smells like a combination of leather, spices, and outdoors with a little sweet in the background. That'll teach me to try bpal on without letting it sit.
