I get a dark rosey, fruity incense from this and it's quite pretty. If the frankincense doesn't eventually do what it tends to do and amp to crazy levels, this'll be really nice on me. A bit much for warm weather, though.

Oh, this is lovely. All three notes are so balanced and perfect together. The orange blossom dominates but there's dry sandalwood to keep it from being too sweet and flowery and the champaca gives this a beautiful incensey feeling. Gorgeous and very feminine--I love this!

The matcha and white musk make this very Shanghai/Embalming Fluid-like on my skin. The lime note is quite bitter, like the rind instead of fresh lime juice. If this were a little sweeter I think I would really like it but the bitterness doesn't really work for me. It *is* nicely refreshing, though!

The grape is front and center when this is freshly applied but it quickly dies down to leave a really nice smoky-woody-evergreen smell. There is the merest breath of roses and lilies underneath it all. The opium does get stronger the longer it dries but the woods/forest are the main attraction here.

I really like this one...it's a very well-balanced blend of honey, florals, and a green note. This is the one of these I'll be most likely to wear again. Very pretty!

I get very little honey from this--it's almost all a strong, slightly green floral. It has a cool, shady feel to it. A good one of these honey blends to try if honey tends to be overpowering on you, since it's so faint.

"Mice-like" is a good description for how this smelled on my arm for the first 10 minutes or so...it was bitter and really quite foul. It morphed into almost all honey after that, though--right now after about 2 hours all I smell is honey. That hemlock stage is truly scary though.

Strong, STRONG jasmine with a tiny drop of sweet honey. Great for jasmine lovers but way too much for me!

WOW. I'm glad I took a chance on this one. It's dark, smooth, and slinky. Heavy on the black musk (yay!) and myrrh, with a dash of sweetness from the anise and a pinch of salt from the ambergris. Unisex, for sure. And this will age wonderfully! Excellent.

This is the PERFECT room spray for late spring...the champagne is sparkling and sweet and the orchid and magnolia are fresh and flowery. It's got great throw--two squirts scented my whole apartment! I'll be using this a lot in warm weather.

Musky lemon sugar, light and fresh, and there's some lemongrass here to keep this from being too candy-like. This is summery and airy and beautiful! I have a hard time with lemony scents as they either fade in 30 seconds or turn to bathroom cleaner on me, but this is holding up nicely. Might be a bottle purchase!

I get almost all soft, powdery rose with some ambergris from this--it's not as complex as I was expecting, but I love it! It's lovely and old-fashioned. I'll retest in a couple of weeks to see if I get anything out of it besides the rose with some aging.

A murky, evil musk. I'm picking up an almost ozone/aquatic hint on the surface, and it's also a bit soapy. Glad I tried it but...no.
-
The wood in this amps like crazy on me...it's wood, wood, wood, with rose and a little bit of sweet tobacco. Makes me think of Pulcinella & Teresina with a dash of tobacco. It's great if you like wood but on me it's just too much.
-
Classic, citrusy men's cologne with a tinge of ozone. The guy who wears this would smell wonderfully fresh!
-
Starts out as pure, almost sharp anise, but the vanilla kicks in and gives this a softer, creamy, sweet quality that's really pretty. The florals are only a faint presence--I smell the violet most prominently. This is soft and gorgeous! I wish it had a little more throw, but that's a minor quibble.
-
Dry, sour fruit tea...this completely failed on me, sadly.
-
I get mostly balsam and a really screechingly sharp floral from this--angel's trumpet? The oakmoss and sandalwood are warm and earthy underneath it all but the floral is just way too loud.
-
Myrrh, tobacco, and clove--this is really dark and I like it a lot...I was worried about the seaweed but it and the moss just give this an earthy quality. This feels so sinister! Could be a real hit with some aging.
-
I got the cleaning fluid smell from this when it was wet too--and it was STRONG. It softens and sweetens as it dries; now it's mostly blackberry and a bit (just a bit) of sweet gardenia with musks underneath. Better than I thought it would be based on the wet phase, but this probably isn't going to be my dream blackberry scent either.
-
Wet, this is ALL VETIVER...whoa. The vetiver is still noticeable in the drydown but I'm mostly getting red musk/sandalwood/oakmoss now. Oddly, I can barely pick up any rose or jasmine at all! This is a really dark scent on me, and it's not BAD, but it's not great either.

Starts out on the green side but this dries into straight-up honey on my skin--a new, fresh honey. Delicious!

Anesthesia
in Neverwhere

Mint fading to a soft, herbal lavender. This smells like it could easily be part of the Panacea series, a bit medicinal. It's also as fleeting as Anesthesia herself was--but refreshing and light while it lasts!
