  1. Perchta smells like a sharp, herbally pine scent on my skin when wet, but when it dries, it is a lovely, subtle creamy-smelling floral.

I bought a bottle on a whim, and I don't regret it. However, I can tell this scent isn't for everyone!

  2. Nyx

I'm writing this as I wear it.

Wet: I really smell the rose. Well, it's like jasmine-spiked rose. I'm getting little to no myrrh. This smells very sharp and very floral.

Dry: Yeah, it's still rose and jasmine. There's something too strong about this scent. Like others have said, perhaps the myrrh is amping the flowers. I doubt I will use up my imp.

Oh wait, there's the myrrh, softening things up a bit, but Nyx still isn't quite right for me.

  3. I put on a ~two-year-old imp of Marie tonight and was pleasantly surprised. It has aged well!

The description is apt: Marie is a wonderful mix of tea rose and violet. It is sweet, soft, and uber-feminine.

I am continually pleased by BPAL's florals (I never really cared for florals prior to BPAL), and this is no exception.

  4. When wet, this is a strong date/fig. The description doesn't lie! Drydown makes this a sweet, beautiful scent on me. I like it very much and will gladly use the rest of my freebie. I will have to think about getting a full bottle.

  5. Three white musks with poppy and patchouli.

I agree that this smells like a classic cologne or perfume. When I first apply it, it smells almost masculine, like an aftershave. Drydown gives it a more feminine scent. I will use my freebie imp but won't purchase a bottle.

  6. Very, very figgy on me. There's a green scent, too, but the top note on my skin is definitely fig! This smells a lot like Eden with a dash of verdant sharpness to my nose. Interesting, but a bit off. I like it more than Tweedledee, though, and will probably wear the rest of my imp.

  7. Yum yum! This smells like fresh, crisp apples with a hint of other orchard fruits, an even smaller hint of rose, and a dash of flowery musk to me. (It also smells absolutely nothing like ELF on my skin or to my nose--funny how that works!) It's a very clean smell. I'll have to give it a few more tries, but this may be a 5 mL contender. :P

  8. Mmm, pure florals. I think I'm getting the lilac the most. It smells fresh and clean, much like an actual flower. It's very feminine and lovely. I like (the quite similar) Kindly Moon more, but White Moon is stronger. Yummy scent for floral fans.

  9. Darn, this smells resinous and very much like vanilla on me, but it's nothing special. I was so hoping to be wowed after learning that this is one of BPAL's best-sellers and has so many rave reviews. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it's just . . . vanilla on me. I may try aging my imp to see if the scent becomes sexier or richer or more interesting, but as is, I don't need a 5 mL.

  10. I have to agree that KM is seamlessly blended, but I think I'm getting all of the florals with a hint of peach and little of the sandalwood or vanilla. Maybe they will peek out as the day goes on. This is a yummy, sweet blend, and I adore white florals, so yay!

  11. Mm, I do get some cake, but this scent is not wholly foody on me. It smells so yummy and comforting, vaguely reminiscent of potpourri, but in a good way. I will definitely be wearing this a lot through the fall and winter!

  12. Yup, this is also very pine/juniper/eucalyptus to me. It's a great scent to sniff in the imp to wake up the senses. I actually think it works on my skin, but I generally don't want to smell like pine. This will make an excellent bath or room oil.

  13. This smells unpleasantly smoky on me. I have to agree that it's peculiar. Florals usually turn sweet and inviting on my skin, but not this! It smells oddly earthy on me. I am not quite sure what I will do with my imp, but I'm certainly not buying a bottle.

  14. Ylang ylang, honey, Egyptian and Arabian musks and labdanum.

Hmm, Skuld smells like Dimetapp cough syrup on me. It's not an unpleasant smell at all (in fact, when I was young, I used to love the taste of Dimetapp when I was sick), but I don't really want to smell grapey and medicinal. I think I'll use up my imp on days when I'm not going to leave the house. I can definitely see this scent being wonderful (spicy, sweet) on someone else.

  15. Oh my god, I just adore Pele. The scent is so fresh and effervescent on my skin, and it's so luxuriantly feminine. If white florals work for you, try it! It's just a feel-good, smell-better oil for me!

  16. This is like putting fresh peach juice all over my arms--ripe, fresh, sweet, delicious. I like this so much more than Katharina. It doesn't have that sharpness or bite. It's just peachy! I don't know if I will buy a bottle, but I will definitely use my imp.

  17. This is a nice, sweet flower scent on me. I am absolutely awful at picking out individual notes, but I think iris and jasmine love me! I get relatively no musk from it. I won't buy a bottle of this because it's a bit too tame and run-of-the-mill perfume for my tastes, but once again, Beth is amazing with florals!
