In the Imp (ITI): Smoldering patchouli and olibanum sitting in a pile o f ash, brightened only bits of vetiver. I’m not smelling the moss at this point, but it may show up on my skin after I apply it. Wet: The ash and smokiness is prevalent as the foremost note. Following is smoky olibanum and hints of earthy patchouli. However, the green notes are not present at all while wet. I’m not minding, through, because the scent is a lovely resinous scent. Dry: After 14 hours, there is only a faint hint of something resinous. On second reapplication, the olibanum, patchouli, and ash are in harmony. I smell a touch of vetiver, but no moss.

In the Imp (ITI): i get a chemically smell, like machine oil, something slightly metallic and rust on top of a stiff black leather background. It’s rather masculine. Wet: Machine oil with some sweetness from the opium tar and hints of tobacco. The leather starts to come through as it dries, and it’ s more of a well-worn and oiled leather smell. Dry:After about 6 hours, I get machine oil, leather, and a hint of rust. It smells like my father’s vintage Mercedes.

In the Imp (ITI): Oooh, woody and resinous. This shall be good. I can pick out the earthy patchouli, the sandalwood, and the olibanum, flanked on all sides by older cedar. Wet: Delicious resins burning in a wooden pagoda. Myrrh now is melding well with the sandalwood, incense, and the olibanum, while the cedar hangs on the periphery, enclosing everything in a lovely, well-rounded scent. Okay, I’m sad this was just discontinued. Dry: It’s beautifully warm in its incense-based qualities. Sandalwood and myrrh harmonize with the patchouli and olibanum perfectly. The cedar isn’t evident anymore, but I’m okay with that. I wish I had a bottle!

Evokes sheer, unadulterated carnal lust. An undeniably warm and sensual scent. Black narcissus, orange blossoms, and vanilla. In the Imp (ITI): I get the warmth of vanilla followed by the sharp, slightly cold floral of narcissus. Orange seems like a side scent, as I imagine the scent in 3 dimensions. I can smell it directly alongside the narcissus. This scent is womanly and father sensual. Wet: The narcissus is now the top note, but it’s softened by the vanilla. There is a slightly spicy quality to this scent that I like. I almost want to slather it on my hands and smooth it through my hair. Dry: Warm vanilla with a touch pf orange – an simplistically elegant scent even after 15 hours of wear. It does get a little powdery, but it is still something I would use on a regular basis.

In the Imp (ITI): Dark, mysterious green vines, with hints of pitch and pine, and perhaps a little juniper season the air. Delicious. If you are a fan of green scents, this way be a winner. Wet: I still get the sharp green note reminiscent of pine and juniper, but there is now an earthy quality to the scent, which may be a soil note. Dry: Early in the day, I noticed an odd, sweat-like or sour quality that seemed to be linked with the scent. When I retest it, it's there once the juniper calms down underneath everything. It could be that I'm not responding well to the soil note, though. I really want to like this, but that after note is a deal-breaker for me. Other Impressions: Citronella and ammonia, which my husband finds odd. He does, however, think it's nice

In the Imp (ITI): Sweet, artificial red currant is all I smell on my skin. It's a bit too artificial for me at this point. It may just be that I have berry high expectations for my berry scent, but the artificiality makes me smell like candy. Wet: Red currant candy drops, similar to the newly flavored cough drops. There is a little huckleberry there, but the neroli seems absent while wet. Dry: Red currant with slightly more sour huckleberry and a hint of menthol and a little incense for some reason (that might be the neroli). It's still a bit too sweet for me, but it is a pleasant scent.

In the Imp (ITI): Mango is the first significant note that reveals itself as I sniff. The ester is a little overwhelming, but the tea seems to try to calm it down. There is just a touch of warmness underneath, which may be from the fig. Wet: Strong mango with earthy fig. I can’t smell much of the tea now. Dry: Figgy mango. What a strange scent.

In the Imp (ITI): Pungent rose at the start, followed by osmanthus and old wood paneling (I think that’s the oak) and just a touch of ozone. I get the image of green velvet tasseled drapes, wood-paneled walls, and well-worn Victorian floral upholstered furniture. Wet: Rose, osmanthus, lilac, and just a dash of wood. I think my skin may amp rose. Dry: Tea rose and lush, full rose with a dash of osmanthus remain after several hours and e long and brisk walk.

In the Imp (ITI): My first impression upon sniffing is is Oh Yeah!. I like the sensual and darkly oriental nature of the scent I'm getting on first sniff. It's intoxicating. Wet: Earthy herbs with a slight soil tinge, luscious fig, some date, and ...odd...something with green quality that's slightly like juniper. Dry: Fig, a hint of sweetness from the dates and currants, and some herbiness that tend toward a soil note along with that touch of green. Its' lovely and very subtle when dried.

In the Imp (ITI): This smells like those candied raspberries that are super sugary that you can get at specialty candy stores. It smells exactly like them, and I think without the wine, it would smell more like fresh berries, but there is an artificial quality about the scent. I suppose that is fitting for Lady Macbeth, though. Wet: While I realize that the note is currant, it very clearly smells like the raspberry. Lush raspberries, some slight greenness from the thyme, and just an every so slight hint of wine. It makes the berry a little more mature. Dry: Berries and faint wine. I didn’t think I would like it from it’s overly sweet smell in the bottle, but this is a nice scent.

In the Imp (ITI): It smells like the ocean (salty, deep water, and a little kelp) with…grapefruit? How odd. Wet: Rolling waves, briny kelp, some oud, perhaps, and just a touch of citrus. I really enjoy this while wet. I would love to take a bath in it. Dry: Slightly aquatic, but pleasantly so. There is still just a touch of sweetness, which makes this scent appealing to me. Finally, an aquatic I like! Other Impressions: Specialized soap dish soap with something else according to Tony. When I explained to him about aquatics, he commented that he liked it – it smelled nice. Keep pile it is!

In the Imp (ITI): Wet, cold funeral flowers. I envision iris and lilies atop a nameplate in a secluded and misty cemetery. This may be an aquatic I like. Wet: Ah, there is the rose. It’s subtle and at the very top of the scent on my skin. (Could it be that my skin amps rose)? Quickly overshadowing it are large sprays of lilies and just a hint of a watery aspect, but pleasantly so. Dry: Slightly soapy lilies, but I’m sad the rose has faded away. I think it might be the aquatic quality that makes this one soapy on me as lilies tend to do okay on my skin.

In the Imp (ITI): Powdery florals, but much lighter, and has fruity note like mango. It's rather feminine. Wet: Very similar in the imp, but there is a soft herbiness, like herbes en Provence. The fruitiness now reminds me more of bubblegum and.or lotus. Dry: Dusty herb and lotus or some other type of floral I can't pick up. It's feminine, but there is something to which I'm not responding well. To the swap pile it goes.

In the Imp (ITI): Iris is the most apparent, giving it a kind of coldness overall. However, there is a sweetness underneath, which I think is from the coconut with just a touch of musk. Wet: Iris sweetened by coconut and white musk. It’s sweet and pretty – not what I’d imagine for black pearl. Dry: Aw, the flowers have turned powdery – powder, iris, and musk.

In the Imp (ITI): Whoo, strong evergreens. Hello, Pacific Northwest in a bottle. I love pine scents, so I’m going to slather this one on. Wet: Oh yeah, still evergreen dominant, but I’m noticing perhaps a slight undertone of food. Still making music for my nose. Dry: Evergreen is still the dominant note, but now I smell hints of berries to sweeten everything up. I really like this one.

In the Imp (ITI): What an interesting combination of notes. Peach, amber, and galbanum. It's warm and fruity at first, but then something spicy and a little more sinister creeps in as I inhale deeper. Wet: Odd. I'm getting spices here even though they are not on the list. It comes across as spiced peach, amber, and a faint wafting of florals like lavender and star jasmine. On the second application, jonquil comes out fighting, followed by the French florals and then the peach. Dry: Yum! Peach, vetiver, and galbanum. It's sweet and heady, but far from innocent.

In the Imp (ITI): Oh yeah, lotus, sandalwood, and very smoky cedar mingle together in a woosdy and slightly exotic concerto for my nose. On second sniff, the cedar is stronger, which I enjoy. Wet: Smoky cedar and incense-like spices with the subtle sweetness of sandalwood and lotus. It does remind me of an incense-filled wooden temple. Dry: The smokiness has now vanished. What remains is sweet sandalwood, spices, and a slight whiff of cedar in the distance. I like this quite a bit, but I wish it stayed on my skin longer. Other Impressions: Spicy orange and musk with a little wood according to my husband. Those minus orange plus dry, which reminds my friend of whiskey.

In the Imp (ITI): Smoky vanilla with clear tinges of balsam and cedar. Yum! Wet: Vanilla is the first note that I can smell, followed shortly by balsam and just a hint of cedar. Dry: Smoky tobacco and hints of leather (even though I know it’s not in the notes). There is a slight woodsiness from the balsam.

In the Imp (ITI): Yep, that’s aquatic. It’s biting, salty, and has a hint of greenness in it. No woodsy notes yet. Wet: Salty, sharp aquatic, and some green, herby notes. I don’t completely hate it, as there is some depth from the other notes. Dry: Once dry, there is almost a melon scent about it. It’s still too salty and aquatic for my taste, but it is interesting.

In the Imp (ITI): Strong and smoky floral and great wafts of heady sandalwood turns this scent into an intoxicating little number. I nearly swoon when I sniff it. Wet: Very pungent champaca flower with bits of orange rind (it’s more of a bitter orange), some greenness, and of course the sultry sandalwood form a very enticing blend. It evokes images of tropical forests, tigers, a lotus blossoms. Dry: Faint champaca and a hint of orange, but it’s really close to the skin after 10 hours. I would have imagined that this scent had longer staying power based on its potency when I applied it.

In the Imp (ITI): The strength of the aftershave is nearly overpowering; however, I can just detect the metallic note of brass, which intrigues me. Wet: Strong brass initially, then it gives way to fancy Victorian aftershave and just a hint of mechanical oil. I would love to smell my husband in this, but it is just a tiny bit masculine for me at the moment. Dry: Wow, it’s a totally different scent – much more mellow, but much more powdery and floral as well. None of the brass or oil remain, which diminishes significantly from this scent’s appeal. Other Impressions: Apparently it smells like my husband’s grandma, specifically her Opium perfume.

In the Imp (ITI): Powerful violet with the slightest dash of sandalwood. Wet: Violet all over the pllace. I think there is a little sandalwood and musk, but I’m having trouble picking out the other notes. Dry: Soapy violet, but in a good way, like one of Lush’s bubble bars. I do smell slight bits of neroli, which adds a little complexity. It’s somewhat dark, but I’d imagine a little more myrrh to really make me thing of the raven.

In the Imp (ITI): It’s a very clean scent. Plum and orris root are most prominent at this stage. Wet: Yes, plum is certainly the dominant note, although I can vaguely smell the bergamot if I concentrate. Dry: Lovely bergamot-soaked plum and hints of black amber. It’s wonderfully complex, spicy, and exotic.

In the Imp (ITI): The lotus is delightful and intoxicating as I open the ampule. However, as I sniff in the morning, there is a bubblegum note in there as well. Odd. Wet:Chemically lotus with some pungent florals. It reminds me of al old air freshener that used to come in a Lucite half-diamond shape and the scent would be emitted through a scented disk on top. Dry: Florals and lotus, , which one of my fellow teachers thought smelled lovely on my skin. However, it is a bit too overtly floral for me.

In the Imp (ITI): It’s a very light scent, to the extent that it is hard to smell out of the imp. I think I get peony and tulips with a splash of grass. Wet: Yep, that’s aquatic right there. Slightly astringent with Lysol spray. Dry: Oh, very soapy after 15 hours.
