  1. So that's what the buzz is all about!

I get a lot of aromatic tobacco leaves and flavorful smoke, from this. I can't place what it reminds me of but it is uncommonly beautiful.

I don't get the baby powder thing, just an enveloping haze of far away smells, tambourin music, burnished lights and silky tactile feel.

Can't. Get. Enough. Of. This. Stuff.

Lasting power: easily all night with plenty more to spare by morning.

    Need a full bottle. NOW.

... And just my luck: There's something wrong with the order/shopping cart/supply whatever, so I can't place an order.

    *flips table*

    :frustrated:

ETA: While browsing in the Lab, I found Vintage Snake Oil from 2009 and decided to order 2 bottles. Oh, happiness... :wub3:

  2. Oh baby where have you been all my life?!?!?!

    This is stupendous!

Not too sweet, deeply aromatic, a lived in, sinned in suede, velvety sandalwood, flavorful tobacco, all blended just right.

A touch powdery, but mostly this invites touch. Follow your nose and get ready for a subtle but profound sensory experience.

Need a back up bottle NOW.

  3. Wet, it does have a cough syrup vibe but that doesn't last long. As it dries and warms on my skin, it becomes jammy, savory and heavy with sensual muskiness. I get a slight blood like coppery whiff along with Hamentashen cookies or Clafouti pie and the thinnest veil of powder. (flour?)

    This is drool worthy.

  4. Oooooooh my goodness. Where has this been all my life?! This is exactly what I want to smell like, day in, day out, 24/7!

The spice kick is oh so deeply satisfying. The honeyed smoothness is downright decadent. My imp is aged and I detect a slight animalic je ne sais quoi, just naughty enough to put this beauty on my bad girl shelf. It's perfect.

  5. Odd ball chiming in: Am I the only one who gets a tidal wave sized wollop of sandalwood in this? Whoa.

So, yes, sandalwood in all its dreamy glory.

And tobacco flower, warmed by the sun.

I find the leather soft, inviting and huggy-feely.

Skin loving amber, musky and spicy.

Overall impression: A beautiful, exotic, cuddly scent. Not what one would expect from something named "Black Rider" but who cares?

  6. This is the captured scent of a cold, moonless night, lost deep within the darkest wood. Haunting and desolate, this scent evokes images of fairy tale tragedy and half-remembered nightmares. Thick, viscous pine with ambergris, black musk, juniper and cypress.

This is spectacular: A blend of clean, bracing and invigorating, earthy softness and totally unexpected sensuality. It smells like trees, earth and skin. On my skin, there is zero harsh anything, it's bright in the beginning, then muted and yielding in the dry down but the aromas are all standing their ground without shrieking at each other. I find it both uplifting and calming at once, exactly like a walk through a forest. I'm ordering a back up bottle right now.

  7. I definitely get his attention when I wear this. On my skin, it's rather soft but very pervasive, it smells as if I'd spent hours baking almond cookies: yummy and scrumptious, with just a touch of slightly musky something, with a nice backdrop of milky, honeyed vanilla.

Again, the scent, on my skin, is not strong, but it lasts forever and transfers onto everything I touch, making it a bit of a ghost scent, it leaves scented memories behind.

This one inspires nuzzles, cuddles and more, in my man, it never fails, to the point that he has asked me not to wear it around him if he has to work or concentrate on something important, as he finds it too distracting.

So, of course... I wear it.

  8. So scrumptious and yummy!

Mr. Inscrutable said "it makes me want to sniff and smell more and more until I breathe you all in"

It's all vanilla cakey goodness, freshly baked, steaming and fragrant, it makes me want to devour my wrist and go for seconds.

    Eat me, indeed. ;)

  9. There is only one week out of the month when I can wear this, and that's during ovulation. Any other time and the scent smells "off", somehow.

But during that week, when my hormones alters my chemistry just right for Sed Non Satiata, it is a veritable feast for the senses!

On me, the tuberose, honey and cognac are most prevalent, though I can detect a hint of myrrh as well. The geranium is not a lead player, in fact it seems to act more as a counterbalance to the sweetness of the scent than as a note in its own right. I am not getting any patchouli.

The whole effect is massively vavoom! deeply sensual and lusty, and the lasting power goes on and on and on.

It's sweet, buttery, warm and overall caressing.

    I really like it.

  10. It is said that Ylang is the poor man's jasmine... Seduction smells like skin that has been caressed in thousands of petals. Not much throw, it reels people in instead of announcing itself from a distance, it's sunny and exotic, a little musky and breezy. On me, it's the "unperfume": it does not suggest added fragrance or artifice of any kind, it's an olfactory question mark. And when there's a question, someone is bound to follow and try to discover the answer. That, I think, is the beauty of Seduction.

  11. Seduction, sensuality, the Act, and the aftermath all in one. The scent of warm, damp skin flushed with the glow of passion, touched by the luxuriant potency of ylang ylang and myrrh.

Whenever I wear this, people lean in closer, hug me longer, find reasons to get closer... It never fails. Not one I would wear when I want my personal space respected, but when I'm game for the attention, it's unbeatable.

  12. I do not like this one at all:

It's musty, metallic, rank and greasy smelling. I do detect the slightest amount of cinnamon but it is drowned by the general unpleasantness of the scent. I suppose I would dump this on some I don't like, lol. Wrathful indeed.

  13. I once had remnants of Debauchery on while taking my evening yoga practice. It was hot yoga. At the end of the class, the guy who'd been right next to me said "You are the only woman I know who manages to smell fabulous while sweating heavily."

And he was blushing like debutante.

Debauchery is a wonderful skin scent with a bit of a naughty side, it's warm and musky, the civet stays under control and only suggests the idea of sex hormones on the prowl. It also has a powdery side that evokes innocence, which makes the combination quite interesting.

I would definitely not wear it to visit my in laws, but if you happened to be wearing it on a day when you happened to look fantastic while bumping into your ex, you'd have the guy feeling very sorry for having lost you. ;)

  14. Slightly salty amber swirling in honeyed warmth, a hint of animalic Je Ne Sais Quoi, velvety vanilla... The more it dries down, the sexier it gets. I can never be without a back up bottle of this.

  15. The only drawback to Hunger that I can see is that on my skin, it takes hours to dry down and settle.

It starts out like a big, ripe, juicy, sunny orange explosion that remains for a long time before the other notes can make their entrance. Beautiful hit of narcissus, which takes a while to get going, but then amplifies and grows and just won't quit. The vanilla is a little salty to me, which is exactly how I like it.

The overall effect is stupendous, my skin loves it, my nose loves it even more.

But if I have a big night out, I put it on early afternoon, then it's just right by the time I leave the house.
