  1. I'm still trying to find the apple in this :P

It's a very dry, earthy scent - with a hint of floral. Unfortunately, it smelled "stale" to me: like your grandmother's attic. It's not unpleasant, but just not what I'm looking for. As it's drying, the patchouli is making itself known. Not bad, but I was hoping for a "fresher" earth smell.

Did I already say, where's the apples?

  2. I first got this as an imp, and I so loved how unusual a scent it was that I bought the larger size.

To me, Bordello is an Autumn/Winter perfume because I found it to be heavy. It is a thick wine scent jazzed up by the black currant. Sweet and sexy. Strong staying power. I sniff my wrists all day not believing how strange yet intoxicating a scent it is.

  3. Definitely smell the cranberry right off. I do not detect any floral scent that should be coming from the ginger and lily. There is a beautiful undertone of warm spices. Think of walking into a small, boutique candle shop (not the olafactory horror that is Yankee Candle Co., or as my husband refers to it, "Yucky Candle"), and that is something like how Lampades smells. It seems to be an autumn scent to me.

I am loving this scent. It gives me a feeling like comfort food.
