  1. This scent is perfectly Aziraphale. Light musk and sandalwood that dries down to a dusty book note. It's very clean and airy, and stays close to the skin with little throw. Just what I'd imagine an empty, ancient little bookshop would smell like.

This is definitely among my top favorites now and totally warrants a bottle or two. :P

  2. I really didn't think I'd like this at all, but had to try it...because, duh, it's Crowley.

In the vial, it was all spicy, musky, sweetness. It's not in the notes, but I swear I smell wine. On, everything sticks around and leather shows up. This really reminds me of Midnight Kiss. The throw is huge and it stays forever (I can still detect it and I applied it about six hours ago). Towards the end, it goes a little powdery, but it's a short phase. There is no way that this scent should have ever worked on me - with the dark musk, patchouli, leather, non foody vanilla...but this is great! :P Tomorrow I'm going to try it in a locket or my hair.

  3. I got no Snake Oil in this one at all. Just eye-watering spicyness. It's funny that I wanted to try this one, seeing that it's a very rare day when any of these notes agree with me, but I'm always looking. On, this was delicious cinnamon gum...until my arm got all red, prickly, and itchy. :P My search continues...

  4. In the vial: A caramel cookie.

On: The cookie lingers for all of five seconds before turning into a bitter tobacco with something sharp in the background. I'm going to assume it's cinnamon, which tends to hate me. The caramel stays around very faintly, but it's very dark.

Verdict: I belive the scent captures the character very well, but it's way too strong for me.

  5. In the vial: Slightly salty air, a hint of light florals, and pear.

On: This is exactly what I'd imagine sea spray to smell like. Clean and very calming. There are a few notes in this that I need to look up, but I'm sure I'm not getting any of them -- the freesia, pear, and seafoam stay strong throughout and don't fade.

Verdict: This is a lovely scent. Perfect for summer and would be great in an oil burner.

  6. In the bottle: Pure mint.

On: Minty vanilla with something else in the background. At first I thought it was chocolate, but then (with many deep inhales) realized it was coffee. Huh? But it seemed to warm the scent up a bit.

Verdict: This was a bit of a gamble for me. Mint notes tend to overpower everything else, while vanilla always goes powdery. They must balance each other out here, so this is great!

  7. In the bottle: Non foody almond with apple hiding out in the background. I can only smell the apple if I inhale deeply.

On: The apple becomes more pronounced, but is still in the back. Almond and myrrh are way too strong and bitter. After a while, musk shows up and the whole thing turns into powder.

    Verdict: This isn't for me.

  8. I know that non-foody vanillas always go musty and powdery on me, but I wanted to just try this. It smells fine in the vial. Once on, though, the spices are too heavy and the powdered vanilla made me sick. After showering I was left with a nice soft spicey vanilla. I wish that's how the entire scent was.

  9. In the vial: Pure cologne. Very strong.

On: Kind of heavy while wet. Lightens up upon drydown. This reminds me of the temples I visited when I was younger. A nice everyday scent with a faint note of vanilla.

Verdict: Definitely a keeper. Lasts for ages and has a fairly good throw.

  10. In the vial: Blueberries and something quite bitter.

On: Papaya and blueberries. :D This one is very sweet, but not cloying. I wasn't going to try this at first just because of how my skin hates lemongrass, but it stays away the entire time. This has amazing throw and staying power.

Verdict: My favorite so far out of the Luau Lounge. :P

  11. Tangerine, gin, passion fruit, guava, and tonic.

In the vial: Exactly as the description says. The gin mellows down the fruits.
On: The gin dissappears entirely, leaving the fruit much sweeter. This is so juicy and definitely golden! Sadly, it faded too quickly...meaning I'll just have to slather it on!
Verdict: Just the smell alone is making me thirsty. I think the next time I'm at a bar, I'll def. be ordering this!

  12. In the vial: Fruit punch bubblegum!

On: All of the fruits mix beautifully here. I can't really pick any single one out. The rum is always in the background and lend the perfect amount of sweetness to this. It reminds me of drinking Shasta Fruit Punch at Girl Scouts.

    Verdict: Delicious!

  13. In the vial: Delicious vanilla, but the ginger is far in the back keeping it from being too foody.

On: I get a whiff of bitterness and powder as soon as this is applied. It's very musty and quite unpleasant.

Verdict: I had really high hopes for this one. Maybe I'll try it in a locket later.

  14. In the vial: Watery with a sharp green note.

On: Not too much different from in the vial, but the greeness is a lot less bitter. Hibiscus comes through sweet and lightens the whole thing. This will be great in the summer!

Verdict: It's great, but very soft. Not much throw and a fast fade.

  15. In the vial: A lovely sweet floral. Not cloying at all.

On: Same as in the vial. Goes a little powdery after a bit, but it's a sweet scent. Not overpowering. No throw at all. It would be good for summer.

Verdict: I'm not so sure about this one. I'll have to try it again and maybe in a locket before coming to a final conclusion.

  16. In the vial: Pure delicious chocolate. And not the nasty fake lip balm kind.

On: Lavender and light vanilla come right up mixing with the chocolate and then slowly morphs into a musk. It's a creamy, not foody, scent that really does give me the impression of something dark lurking in the background. It has impressive throw as well.

Verdict: I was a little scared at first to try this because of the citrus, but thankfully that note never came up. I love this! :P

  17. In the vial: Pure juicy pomegranate. Very sweet. :P

On: Kind of a light scent. It gets more tart as it drysdown. Great staying power and moderate throw. This will be great on really hot days.

Verdict: Love it! I almost didn't buy this, but am so glad I did.

  18. In the vial: A light and sweet fruity floral

On: The fruit note smells more like melon, but it must be the peach I'm getting. Then a sharp floral note takes over everything and the whole thing turns into powder.

Verdict: Into the sale pile. I don't think I'll ever find a scent with rose in it that agrees with me.

  19. In the vial: Sugary grapefruit.

On: As usual with all other citrus scents, this one goes straight to floor cleaner. Reminds me of the air freshener we use at work. I didn't think it would work, but figured I'd try.

Verdict: I really wanted to like this one. :P

  20. In the vial: Creamy vanilla.

On: Starts out a little foody, but morphs into a lovely warm vanilla amber. It's very calming, kind of like a comfort scent. Good throw and super staying power -- almost 5 hours later and it's still there! This is the first vanilla ever to not go plastic on me. :P

Verdict: Most definitely a keeper. I'll be picking up a bottle when the imp is gone.

    ADDED May 5:

In the vial: Sweet and fruity.

On: Immediately turns to powder, but it's a sweet powder that I can stand. After a few minutes it becomes a murky powder.

Verdict: I had to try this since it is from Alice in Wonderland, but while it smells great in the vial, it doesn't work for me.

  21. Bottle: Sugary cake. On: Fruit, icing, cake...delicious! It's very much like Monsterbait: Bloody Mary. :P On drydown I get a plastic powder sugar when I inhale directly from my wrist, but wafting up, it's still as good as ever. Sadly it fades way too quickly. I'm going to try this again, perhaps in a locket, because I really want to like it.

ETA: Before I went to class last night, I pretty much slathered this on. As soon as I walked into class, my teacher asked what I was wearing (Umm.... :D ). So this time the throw and stay time were very good. And I got no plastic smell. I'm going to see how long the imp lasts before I decide about buying a bottle.
