  1. bottle:

    incense and exotic spices

    wet:

cinnamon, and other exotic spices, something sweet and citrusy too…. an amazing blend!

    dry:

now it's more floral, subdued spices. Still very exotic - reminds me of an import store that has incense, candles, and wood furniture from around the world - all the smells combine so you can't pick out any notes

    overall:

    nice!

    rating: 8/10

  2. bottle:

    very dry, incensy, grass/hay

    wet:

same - pretty masculine, although now a touch of warmth emerges

    dry:

reminds me of a farm or horse barn, a dry mild spicy hay scent!

    overall:

I like this - very different

    rating: 7/10

  3. bottle:

    floral, jasmine, fresh

    wet:

    light floral with sandalwood

    dry:

very jasmine now, still some sandalwood but mostly jasmine

    overall:

not bad, but yet another jasmine blend… I think I'll pass this one on

    rating: 6/10

  4. bottle:

    very green, bitter almost

    wet:

definitely a christmas scent of fresh evergreens in the house. Very strong

    dry:

mellowed a little - not bad, but I just prefer yuletide and midwinter's eve for my holiday fix!

    overall:

nice, but I prefer some of the other christmas scents!

    rating: 6/10

  5. bottle:

sweet floral rose and something (combined, reminds me of honeysuckle)

    wet:

yummy, a different twist on rose! Not too sweet or strong

    dry:

lotus and rose - really such a unique floral

    overall:

never expected to like this so much but I do! Very feminine and elegant

    rating: 8/10

  6. bottle:

    green bitter herb (wormwood)

    wet:

    same, with anise/licorice as well

    dry:

wormwood and anise - luckily for this licorice hater, the anise is subdued and not gagging me.

    overall:

I don't hate it like I expected (because of the anise) but it's not something I'd really wear

    rating: 6/10

  7. bottle:

    citrusy, background of something herbal

    wet:

    lemony clean scent!

    dry:

creamy, slightly floral, hint of lemon, bare hint of aquatics…

    overall:

love it (of course!) now to sell my right arm….

    rating: 9/10

  8. bottle:

    tulips and grass!!

    wet:

same - smells like my yankee candle in tulip scent!

    dry:

still the same - really nice fresh floral! There is a bit of an aquatic note too but it blends well with the floral

    overall

I knew I loved this one. Why did I wait so long?? Lol

    rating: 9/10

  9. bottle:

    musky

    wet:

same. Very traditional perfume scent to me.

    dry:

the musk turns much darker when dry - still there, but I have to admit I like it better - although not on it's own. I can't really smell any amber

    overall:

    too musky for me

    rating: 5/10

  10. bottle:

    evergreen trees

    wet:

evergreen trees, hint of white floral

    dry:

the evergreen mellows a little but is still there. This is not what I imagined it would be! :P but it will still be nice in the wintertime.

    overall:

not what I wanted, but nice in it's own way!

    rating: 7/10

  11. bottle:

    lavender & herbs

    wet:

there's something pungent in here besides the lavender!

    dry:

    lavender and still something else…

    overall:

    not crazy about it

    rating: 5/10

  12. bottle:

    lemon verbena and grapefruit

    wet:

    same

    dry:

very nice, strong on the lemon verbena

    overall:

nice!! (finally a lemon verbena that works for me! yay!)

    rating: 8/10

  13. bottle:

amber - slightly sweet, very golden

    wet:

not bad, but it's not what I expected - very light amber.

    dry:

it gets a little soapy on me - wah!! I had such high hopes considering I love amber usually!

    overall:

not sure. I wanted to like it! But it goes soapy. May work for hair products or room scent….

    rating: 6/10

  14. i've come across a few now that really remind me of other scents, and i started making notes to compare two (or more) at one time to see what the differences are - so far my list is:

al-shairan vs seraglio (al-s. is less orange i think. it's been a while since i wore seraglio)

13 vs freak show vs velvet (mostly the first two, velvet starts off similar but dries down differently)

dragon moon vs holiday moon (same at first for me, dragon moon has cherry blossoms in dry down...)

queen of sheba vs the red queen (i know red queen is sweeter berry, but QoS's almond reads as cherry to me - so this is not so much as a dead match but which do i like better!)

there's more i can't think of right now... also there are a bunch of "summer garden at night" scents in my reviews, someday i'll pull those all out and try them against each other. (midnight, luna, evening star, perfumed garden.... although i gave luna away, i like the others better)

oh and alecto and kathmandu i find similar when dry (different when wet though)
