  1. I got into a decant circle for this before I'd had too much experience with various BPAL oils. While experimenting with Aizen-Myoo and Kyoto, I discovered that the cherry blossom note turns into Sweet Tarts when it hits my skin - not something that smells particularly great. So, when my Dragon Moon decant arrived, I was a little nervous about trying it.

The cherry blossom in this one didn't go sickeningly sweet, but the overall smell wasn't something I particularly liked.

  2. I can definitely smell the berries - this scent is very sweet. I'm not entirely sure what heather smells like, but whatever the berries are blended with, it compliments them nicely. This scent is pretty, but it's not something I'd wear.

  3. This scent comes out as smokey, musky incense on me. It's very nice (though it's much different than what I usually wear), and I'll try it a few more times before I decide if I'm going to swap it away or keep it.

  4. It took me a few applications to decide if I like this scent. Once it dries on my skin and mellows a little, it becomes a lovely vanilla with spices and plum. Delicious! I'm so glad that I was able to track down a bottle.

  5. Cherry blossom apparently turns into Sweet Tarts when it hits my skin. This one's getting swapped for sure. It's too bad, since I love the cherry blossom scent that Bath and Body Works has.

  6. Something about this scent really, really put me off. I had to wash it off right away. It's very strong and not at all what I like in perfumes!

I'm noticing that I don't like some blends with jasmine. Maybe jasmine is not a good note when combined with my skin chemistry.

  7. This scent is strong and dark. I'm not sure I like it; I prefer something a little lighter. Once it dries, it settles into something more mellow and complex. I think I'll try this one a few more times before I make a final decision.

  8. Eve starts out overwhelmingly floral on me, which made me consider washing it off. I decided to keep it on to find out what the dry scent would be, and I'm glad I did; it's beautiful. I smell soft flowers, a hint of apple, and something delicate and sweet. This is a light, feminine fragrance, and I'm definitely keeping the imp I have. Depending on how much I wear it, there may be a bottle of this in my future.

  9. This started out smelling strongly of cherry, which had me a little worried; would cherry notes turn sickeningly sweet on me like cherry blossom does? Over time, this settled into a scent that I can only describe as mellow and warm. When I sniffed my wrist, I felt calm and loving. I'm no good at picking out individual notes! I like this one a lot.

  10. I love Egyptian mythology, so I got this imp based purely on its name. I'm not sure how I feel about the scent. I can't put my finger on what I'm smelling. I lift my wrist to my nose to sniff it every now and then - as I do with all the scents I'm experimenting with - and sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. It's very strange.

my husband, on the other hand, simply loves the way this smells. He had a candle a long time ago with a scent that he adored, and he says that Anubis smells exactly like the candle. I'll keep the imp for his sake and play around with it some more. I'm not completely sure I like how it smells on me, but I can always try to put a few drops of the oil in some wax and then heat it up with my tart burner.

  11. this was in the first batch of imps I ever ordered from the Lab. I'd read through scent reviews on the forums, trying to find soft vanilla scents.

Zephyr is exactly what I wanted in a fragrance. it's soft - musky - vanilla - sweet. I don't really smell any lemon, just musky vanilla with a trace of flowers in the background.

:P I just love this scent. it's my favorite of everything I've tried from the lab so far!
