When it was in the imp and still wet it was total buttery pumpkin. Totally. That was OK too, I liked it that way. I reeeeeeaaaaaally liked it when it was creamy pumpkin, peach and a little bit of spice. It didn't last that long though. The pumpkin faded away and the spices and peach took over, I like this enough to get a 5mL but I don't see that happening as its the exact same as March Hare which I already have.

    The Knave of Hearts

In the bottle and on my skin its a perfect buttery pastry, I was hoping for just black currant and roses instead of the tart. Once its been on my skin for a few minutes I can easily separate the black currant from the tart. I wasn't expecting this to be foodie, I usually use foodie scents as a comfort type thing so I put some on before bed. When I woke up I could still smell it and by that point it was just black currant and roses. But there's no way I'm going to wait overnight until I can wear this.

    F5

I love the blend, but it hates me. For the few minutes that I can smell it on my skin F5 amazing but it quickly fades next to nothing. No more than 15 minutes later I have to press my nose all the way against my skin and start huffing my wrists to catch a whiff. Not a very appealing look for me.

    Jezebel

It smelled really nice in the imp, but the second it hit my skin it was pure unadulterated powder. Instead of fading after a few moments on my skin like a lot of blends tend to do, it gains intensity. My whole house reeks of baby powder now. And of course it doesn't seem to want to come off of my wrist after a long shower.

    Hamadryad

For the first few minutes its just a huuuge blast of menthol getting all up in my nostrils. Then I tried to convince myself that woody and mossy notes were coming out, but it was just fading.

    The Lion

At first I didn't like this too much, not sure why. I just didn't like it at all. So I saw it sitting in my imp box and decided to try it on and it was pure amber and cinnamon. Which is great! Amber is by far my favorite note, now with cinnamon... I can go either way. I liked it in this blend but I think it would be nice if there were something else. But I loooove this just as it is. Hmn. It wasn't as dry as I was expecting, the cinnamon almost makes it seem... moist? Not sure how that works. :S Lots and lots of cinnamon. Although if I develop a new found love for cinnamon this blend would be responsible for it.

    Penthus

Ohh, I like this one. initially it was too headachey on me and delved off into the chemically-perfume end of the spectrum... but now, I really like this one. I guess its kind of like what you'd imagine as a funeral by the ocean, an aquatic rose. With a little bit of incense. Well, maybe not incense, I don't know what it is. I can smell something salty, the rose and then there's "something else." I don't know what it is, or even how to describe it, its just there and adds something... but. Hm. Maybe its the calamus? Not sure, and its a probablity since I actually have no idea what calamus smells like. I don't see a bottle for me in the near future I think my (fr)imp will last me whenever i find myself reaching for Penthus.

    March Hare

Initially nothing but apricot. Or peach, I can't tell the difference at all. When it was in the (fr)imp there was some kind of astrigent in it that was apparnt when I carelessly huffed it, probably a prepubescent clove. The clove starts to come out the second its on my skin and stays a few paces behind the apricot. This was one of my first bottles, I love this because its so strong and long lasting. Not much morphing, although it gets more of a "golden" feel the longer I have it on. But another of my favorite things about it is that the second I open my bottle my cat Shad comes running in through the door and comes to sit on my bed.

    Coyote

In the bottle it seems very sweet... It does wet too. Once it dries it begins to mellow out into something beautiful, no more sweetness to it. Coyote is an evident but not overpowering scent and it lasted for about five hours without having to reapply at all. The blend is just as the lab describes, I can't pick out the notes to save my life, but it just smells *right*. The only evident note on me is the amber, but its not over powering. Its a warm scent, but not hot. Kind of like a sunset over plains. It has a very... coyote-like quality to it. This is definatley an all time favorite of mine.

    All Night Long

I got this as a frimp. Well... it smells like buttered toast. Toasted white bread, buttered and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Why is this. It smells kind of pleasant but its just baffling. My mother grabbed this one out of my imp order and put it on her wrist, apparently she oculdn't stop sniffing althroughout her office hours. As akward as it feels... I guess I'm buying All Night Long for my mother.

    Rage

I, for one, totally dig this blend. I got it as a frimp. I'll agree it doesn't seem very rageful. When I saw it in my order, bright red in the imp, I just thought it was Wrath. I opened it up expecting firey cinnamon, clove and pepper but it was very pleasant. I didn't even remember seeing Rage on the site and I know I never would have ordered it. The jasmine doesn't show up AT ALL on my which is fantastic. Jasmine along with most white florals go crazy on me and make my sinuses act up. None of that here, I tried it on before reading the description and I never would have guessed it had jasmine in it. I mostly got rose, currant, and dragon's blood. Dragon's blood is usually really obnoxious on my skin but this is very nice and quiet. It reminds me of this dragon's blood bath salt I got at the Wharf in San Fran from this cool old man... Not relevant. This blend is perfect for my skin chemistry. Rage will defiantly be a 5mL in my next order. Edited for spelling and: What the, I'm still trying to figure out why I love this so much. Everything about it screams, "HATE ME!" Except for the amber (which I cannot smell) and the currant... Whatever~ I guess "red" scents are just good on me.

    Ogun

Whyyyyyyyyyy. I probably would have LOVED this, and loved all of the notes, if I could have smelled them. In the bottle I only got gin and tobacco, wet I only got gin and tobacco and dry I only got gin and tobacco. I never got any melon or honey. The gin and tobacco on its own made me feel sick to my stomach and headachey. I had such high hopes for it.

    The Unicorn

In the imp and wet on my skin this smelled kindy of lemony. A creamy lemon, not an in-your-face type of lemon. The lemon quickly fades away and I got beautiful white florals, I hate white florals. They make my eyes water and my nose run, on me they're usually way too heady and I begin to feel sick to my stomach. Not this time! The florals in the Unicorn love me, and I love them. They're very soft but still evident. The linden is the winner, though I LOVE linden and there need to be more linden blends... There's also faint herbs, but not "herbal" herbs if that makes sense. These are soft and somewhat sweet herbs... I love this.

The High Priest Not To Be Described

Wow, the oil color really is interesting. Unfortunatley this didn't really work out on me. I really wanted to like it, it sounded like everything I would have loved... but, no. This was basically a mellower version of Hellfire with chamomile and a few more herbs. Hell, I probably would have loved that on its own but it had no staying power on me and the scent was very light to begin with. :/ I had put it on, then 15 minutes later I went to sniff my arm and it took me awhile to actually pinpoint the scent, there wasn't much to be sniffed at by then. Woe.

    Kumari Kandam

I've been really eager to try Kumari Kandam for awhile and its finally here! (: In and out of the bottle its a very minty incense type smell. I guess you could imagine clay and frost, though. It seems like really appropriate imagery although I don't know what actually icey clay and stone would smell like... There aren't many changes in it. But after a while, it suddenly becomes a little bit sweet. Hothouse blooms? Maybe. I wouldn't call it floral though. It just adds a little burst of life to the cold, dark stone scent. I like this a lot, but I couldn't really see myself wearing it.

    Mag Mell

Wow, this is the first so far in which I can pick out each and every note. When I think (well, think based off of the smell I get) of this I always see some kind of field, just grass, with morning dew. And a sunrise. Its a very fresh and green scent but there is definatley a golden aspect to it. I was expecting it to be much more herbal, though... The first thing I get is the verbena and fresh grass, initially the verbena was very overpowering then ginger and amber peaked out. The sage is fairly quiet, but evident, not that lush. It definatley as a tiny aquatic feeling to it... which is none other than the droplets of rain on blades of grass. The sage and ginger kept it from being too soapy which it was on the verge of becoming. This is actually quite similar to Shoggoth but without the coconut and florals, but it still has the same fresh feel to it.

    Dia de los Muertos

2006 - Ooooh, very smokey. I get mostly tobacco smoke and the dry crackling leaves from this. Some cocoa too, but the dry cocoa that hardly even smells like chocolate at all... I don't know if anyone but me understands that. But like the raw expensive powdery kind you can get in gourmet shops. The florals are definatley there but they aren't as stand outish as I thought they would be, they're very warm but not spicy. I guess if 2004 was the sweeter blend and 2005 was the more floral, this is definatley the smokier year. Maybe its just me. ETA: This was also very shortlived on me, it only lasted up to about an hour and half, it was strong during that hour and a half but then it just completley vanished from my skin.

    Y'ha-nthlei

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! I am totally get a bottle of this in my next order, I must. I was actually hoping for more of a dark abyssal scent, but this is fairly light. It didn't change much. Its stayed almost the same in the bottle, wet and dry. I haven't tried Skadi or Snow Angel so I can't really compare it. Its a little bit sweet, probably from the ambergris but it remains a very aquatic scent. I forgot it had that (ambergris) in there and I kept trying to figure out WHY this was slightly sweet and warm. But it works! Its a beautiful aquatic, there's a fair amount of eucalyptus in there but it doesn't have a menthol-quality to it like most eucalyptus does, I also can't sniff out any bergamot in this. Its definatley not the dark or deep scent I was hoping for but I don't think I could love this anymore than I already do!

    Shoggoth

Out of the bottle its mostly lemon and lime, mostly lime. Maybe some florals, but I couldn't pick them out to save my life. This actually reminds me a lot of Embalming Fluid when its wet. Then it cools down a lot to a more mellow citrus and the florals begin to take their place. I'm not too good at picking out notes but I'd say it was the lily. Fresh, very fresh, green coconut is starting to come out along with some kind of muskiness and the tiniest bit of amber. Its very strong on me, and it stays very strong for quite awhile. I put it on an hour ago and its still as strong as when I first put it on, but not as in-your-face, it doesn't seem as if it wants to go away anytime soon. But that could just be my chemistry since it really amplifies any citrus-type blends. Its a very fresh blend, I'll probably order a bottle come Christmas.

    The Carpathian Mountains

AFter reading the reviews I was kind of worried since I already ordered it. But I'm very glad I did. I was even more worried when I first opened up the bottle. Wintergreen, wintergreen, wintergreen, juniper? The wintergreen at first was unbearable then then juniper was unbearable. It only took a few seconds to settle down though. Then it was much softer. Wintergreen and juniper are still there, but I'm getting a lot of raspberry leaf. Something mossy too. After reading the description again, maybe I'm getting a little bit of honeysuckle and currant, just a little but its there. Its a tiny bit sweet on my but I really love this blend. Its a sweet minty-mossy blend with the tiniest of florals in there for me and I loooove it.
