  1. A suggestion for folks who've dealt with welts:

I got an imp of Blood Moon and adored it, so naturally I sought out a bottle. I was HORRIFIED when application from the bottle left me with huge red welts every place the oil touched. I didn't have the same reaction when I applied from the imp, so my first thought was that the bottle had somehow been contaminated. I loved the scent too much to give up, so after a bit of experimentation, I found that the welting only occured when I applied oil immediately after showering, so I'm guessing that that reaction only occurs when my pores are fresh-out-of-the-shower-open.

  2. In the imp: Musk, musk, and just a very faint hint of cranberry.

On, wet: o_O It smells just like Smut! Holy crap! From the variety of notes I'd never had expected such a similarity.

Dry: Wow! Smutsmutsmut! On me the cranberry is barely there...it's all delicious Smutty musk, but less dirty and just a bit sweeter for the cranberries. When it dries there's an unidentifiable something that comes out and warms it just a bit, making it a wee bit less smutty, but still very close to my nose.

I may have to get a bottle of this, in the event my stock of Smut runs out!

  3. In the imp: lightly fruity with a hint of booze.

    Wet: Peaches, peaches, sticky peaches.

Dry: Oh, WOW. This is gorgeous. The other notes work on my skin so the peach isn't overwhelming...maybe it's the amber? I was worried, as usually fruit amps up and drowns everything else out for me, but here the peach is quietly sitting underneath everything else. This isn't picking peaches on a hot summer day, instead it's warm, golden summer sunsets with a distant wafting hint of peaches on the air.

Cheers to Syzygy for hooking me up with the imp! This may just have to be a 5ml!

  4. Got 8 imps in the mail today, and went straight for the Smut. :P

Out of the imp: Ooh, chocolatey-caramel, like an empty candy wrapper. Reminds me of Hostess cupcake icing.

Wet: Incensey. Uhoh. Where's that yummy chocolate? I want to like you, Smut, please don't go all incense on my skin!

    Drying: Oooh, musk. Yay!

An hour in: The incense is fading, leaving a delicious blend of musk and caramely chocolate. My cat is intrigued, and I can't stop sniffing my wrist.

Two hours in: Still can't stop sniffing my wrist. It's mellowed into a sweet musk. I hope it lasts a bit. Even if it doesn't, it's definitely a keeper.
