    Something like handmade piece of jewellery/imp swap? Oh, man. Ideas. Y'all are dangerous.

     

    ZOMG. What about a BPAL-themed handmade jewelry swap? The idea would be for everyone to make at least one piece of jewelry for their swappee based on their swappee's favorite scents. It could be as literal or abstract an interpretation as the swapper wants. BPAL scents are so rich in descriptions and cultural and artistic references - they would be great inspirations. I think this should be open to everyone regardless of experience, and also there shouldn't be a materials cost minimum or maximum.

     

    If anyone likes this, feel free to run with it. I can't see myself having the time or bandwidth to run this until the beginning of next year at the earliest, although I would be willing to write up a questionnaire for it.

     

    Oh, it'd have to be after the new year, but I'd love to run it. That could be so much fun.

    I just received another request for a list of scents that are suitable for a man to wear. Though I think it's a matter of taste, here's my list of our more masculine and gender-neutral blends for future reference.

    I'd actually throw Dee on the unisex list. (I'm not really into supergirly scents, and it's one that I know both my boyfriend and I can wear equally well.

    I've flown internationally with 5mLs - individual baggies for them all in my bigger bag with my other liquids. Learned that lesson the hard way.

    Seriously, though, Canada (2x) and Qatar had NO problems with either. I was the designated detainee once, and they asked. Said perfume, and they let me go.
