    Desire

In the bottle this seemed WAY too floral with a powdery undertone that I wasn't keen on. However, once on my skin it transformed into the most delicate floral scent with gentle notes of fruit and a fresh undertone. My nose isn't good enough to pick out the individual scents but I can say this is a romantic, soft, almost caressing scent; the perfect embodiment of gentle desire. It's a keeper.

Sadly, this one turned out to be a disappointment due to my skin. I was *really* looking forward to it as the combination of rum and cocoa notes sounded just heavenly, but they completely overpowered me. Wet: it made my eyes water and gave me a nasty headache. Dry: the deepest, richest caramel-butterscotch scent overlaid with coconut, spiced rum, and the barest whiff of bitter chocolate. This scent is incredibly foody and mouth watering with enough of a musky (tobacco?) base that it evens out very well. Ultimately I think this is a fabulous, delicious scent but it simply doesn't work for my skin (or my poor head!).

One sniff and this one gave me a nasty headache. The heavy muskiness, deep notes with a distinct cream base and sharp overtones just didn't seem to work with my skin; wet or dry. A lovely scent, but definitely one for the swap pile.

In the bottle: very fresh and tart, strong citrus base that reminds me of high class mens cologne. On the skin, wet: even more citrusy with a very powerful lime base and a hint of ozone. This is a weird one for me. It has an interesting scent; a mix of fresh citrus, almost masculine musk, and fresh aquatic notes, but it also has an undertone I can't quite place and which I find unpleasant. All in all, this is one which doesn't quite work with my skin.

I am *totally* new to bpal, so I don't have an expert nose yet, though I'll do my best. First impression: In the bottle this hit me strongly; the sharp notes came out first, hinting of bitter cherries or sour plum. There is also a very heady floral undertone that made me a little dizzy. On my skin, wet: Really strong cherries, which smells just lovely! It reminds me distinctly of freshly baked Cherry-bakewell tarts, still hot from the oven. After a while the scent evens out nicely with the original note of floral. It's a great balance between sweet and fresh, with a very slight creamy undertone. I agree with undream about the elusive liquorice scent, also. It's works very well with the sweetness. Out of my first 7 imps, this is one of 3 that worked with my skin, and it's my favourite so far. It makes me smell delicious!
